Name:Reborn as his Shadow Author:
Zi Bo opened the folder suspiciously, wondering what Xiao Ying’s sudden fuss over it was, but after seeing the contents clearly, his eyes widened in shock, and he stared at Mo Jingxuan dumbly, “Young Master Mo–!”

Mo Jingxuan was a little amused seeing him like this, “You just have to trust me.”

Zi Bo looked at Xiao Ying, “Boss, is this—is it true?”

Xiao Ying looked at Zi Bo blankly, “You can tell the others about these things but don’t let outsiders know.” He glanced at Mo Jingxuan and interlocked their hands pointedly, “Are you done yet?”

Nodding in a daze, Zi Bo questioned in a low voice, “What kind of lover did the boss find?”

Teasing him, Mo Jingxuan raised his eyebrows as he answered, “Your boss found a lover like me, isn’t it a good thing? Aren’t you—”

It was rare to see him like this, and Xiao Ying leaned towards him with interest and kissed the mouth that was still in the process of forming words.

Zi Bo didn’t have the mental capacity to spare for this steamy scene in front of him as he concentrated on the papers in his hand; if these were true, then this month, the Mo family would try to take the land in Jinzhou. Jinzhou was a good area, so regardless of whether they really did aim for it, there would be no losses in trying to grab it first. There was also a cooperation with Jin Yu Electronics to plan for; they wanted to develop some new products, which would undoubtedly be good for them to join in on.

As long as he talked with them first, he didn’t believe they would pick the Mo family over the Xiao company to cooperate with. As for the land marked on the documents, it was truly vast. The board of directors may agree to acquiring some of it, but he wasn’t sure if the Xiao family was even big enough to swallow all of it. After all, the funds needed to own it and then manage it in the future were such a large amount.

The kiss ended, and Mo Jingxuan was breathing unsteadily as he said, “You don’t have to think about the land with hot springs in the northern suburbs-I will get that piece with Xiao Ying. It will be the starting point of our work together and will not belong to the Xiao family or have anything to do with my revenge on the Mo family; it will be mine and Xiao Ying’s personal business.”

He squeezed his chin as he analyzed, “Although the land in the northern suburbs is a bit remote, it’s still a wetland and is blessed with natural resources. Normally we could count on its location to drop the price for us, but it’s going to cost a lot of money for such abundant land. With further construction as well, the government isn’t going to be easy to handle either. It’s been advocating the protection of nature to the public lately and it will be hard for them to take our side without looking hypocritical. If we want to transform it, we will need to make a large fuss and draw the public to our side.”

Mo Jingxuan clicked on the computer, “I plan to build a hot spring resort with a theme similar to a primitive tribe. There will be no splendid villas, no cement, no artificial carvings, and all the necessary buildings will be assembled from bamboo and wood. The designs will be based on the premise of not destroying the original appearance of the environment so as to create a natural resort. If it is done well, there won’t be any need to worry about the government; after all it won’t harm the land and can even drive the local economy and give them additional political achievements, why would they refuse?”

In his previous life, the land was developed into a popular tourist attraction; since the first day the spring was open, there was an endless stream of tourists. Mo Jingxuan planned to take that piece of land for himself this time, stealing the idea as his own without any shame.

This way, he could guarantee that he and his baby would earn a lot of money with their first work together.

Xiao Ying looked at Zi Bo’s hesitant expression and touched Mo Jingxuan’s head as he reminded him, “Money is not a problem anymore, my Xuan has made more at home in a week than I have after working for so many years. His skill in investing is superior to anyone else’s.” Mo Jingxuan had asked to handle his money, and he had given it happily, not expecting anything but wanting to find something interesting for him to pass his time in the dorm. However, Xuan actually doubled the amount several times over in such a short period of time; these days, he was almost numb from the shock he had experienced.

Thinking of this, Xiao Ying’s eyes darkened. His supposed intuition must not have been a coincidence after all; he must have known that those stocks would rise sharply.

Cooperating with Xiao Ying’s words, Mo Jingxuan pulled up a different tab on the computer and turned to show Zi Bo the numbers.

Zi Bo stared in shock at the amount at the bottom of the trend chart as it rose to the top. There was no way to count all the zero’s being displayed without getting dizzy. Twitching the corner of his mouth as he tried to manage a smile, Zi Bo silently thanked his boss for managing to bring back such a god of wealth as his sister-in-law.

He calmed down quickly and asked, “Once the Xiao family has been straightened out, can I still work for the two of you?” Not the Xiao family, not the Mo family, but for Xiao Ying and Mo Jingxuan.

Zi Bo could foresee that a new force would be breaking past the four families and dominating the business empire in the future imperial capital. And this new force…he looked at the two sitting opposite of him.

He had absolute faith in his intuition and was willing to sign away his life to the people he felt would take him higher. Compared with living steadily with the Xiao family, he was more excited about following these two to create a new future. Although they might be unknown now, they are still young. It’s the perfect time for them to fight, to win, to break through, and to create!

Xiao Ying smiled as his friend showed such trust in him, “As long as you are willing to take the chance,” then he continued, “As for the other places circled in these papers, I will do my best to talk to the higher ups in the Xiao family. If they are willing to cooperate it would be for the better, but if they aren’t then we can slowly take it over by force.”

Mo Jingxuan was really tired; the relationships in such a large family were so troublesome. Nepotism was everywhere, and the senior positions of each shareholder were passed down through a hereditary system. With corruption everywhere, it was a wonder that the quality of the shareholders wasn’t worse than it was- there were still a few elites mixed in with the many that understood how to look at the bigger picture when making decisions. Even Xiao Yao, the largest shareholder at the moment, still needed the votes of the other shareholding directors to make important decisions. Once he was rejected by the majority, no matter how many benefits the idea would bring, it was useless.

Based off of that, Mo Jingxuan didn’t think that he and Xiao Ying’s business should have many people participating. If they need more money for a project, he could always invest and earn some overnight; they would definitely not engage in a joint stock system and let others dictate their decisions. Being bound by so many people was not a future that he would ever choose for himself.

The three of them made detailed plans and picked apart Mo Jingxuan’s papers until the moon was high in the sky, and Zi Bo left unwillingly at Xiao Ying’s demand.

Looking up at the half-circle moon emitting a faint light in the sky, Zi Bo took a deep breath. Today, he had gained a lot. He had been shocked, but more than that, he admired those two. Deciding to stay with them was a decision that he would never regret for the rest of his life. They were just what he was looking for in bosses, thoughtful but not whimsical, meticulous but not overly so, decisive but not impulsive. They were perfect.

What surprised him the most was the eldest young master of the Mo family. Zi Bo really couldn’t figure out how the young master, who had been asleep for so many years, had such powerful foresight…Shaking his head, he put away his messy thoughts as he assured himself that at least his childhood friend and boss had a lover who truly deserved him.

Turning mid-step, Zi Bo changed his plan to go back to his dormitory and headed outside the school grounds. If he didn’t talk to Xia Qifan and Ren Yue tonight, he was worried he wouldn’t get a blink of sleep.

The next day, Xiao Ying called Liang Liang, a trustworthy worker who had been stationed at headquarters for many years now.

Two days later, Lian Liang was charged with a major demerit for ignoring a flaw in a contract he had presided over and was transferred from headquarters to the subsidiary where Xiao Yixiu coincidentally worked.

A week later, before the stock market fell completely, Mo Jingxuan decisively sold all his stocks and withdrew his funds to go to the wetland in the northern suburbs with Xiao Ying.

After going back and forth several times, Mo Jingxuan finally bought the land and began to hire construction workers to start laying out his plans. The design of the hot spring resort was entirely directed by Mo Jingxuan and Xiao Ying, with the designer merely transcribing their dictations into a blueprint.

The resort was busy, and a week passed by in a flash.

Xiao Ying had already returned to headquarters to take over Xiao Yao’s work, and things were progressing smoothly for him; he swiftly became the largest shareholder of the Xiao family. Xia Qifan and Ren Yue left the subsidiary to support him, leaving Zi Bo alone to watch over Xiao Yixiu.

In the early stages, even when he was incredibly busy, Xiao Ying would still set apart time to follow Mo Jingxuan around and stick to him each day. It didn’t take long, though, for Xiao Ying to become completely worn out, and Mo Jingxan thoughtfully installed surveillance cameras all along the resort for him to watch through. With online supervision of his Xuan, Xiao Ying was able to work steadily without the anxiety that something was missing.

Xiao Yixiu’s subsidiary, Honghui Real Estate Company, in Xiao Yixiu’s office———————-

“Knock, knock, knock!”

“Come in!”

Zi Bo pushed the food open, walking up to Xiao Yixiu’s desk in a serious manner as he said, “You wanted to see me?”

Xiao Yixiu smiled and pointed to the sofa in front of him, “Sit.”

Zi Bo sat.

“Secretary Zi,” He got up and walked around his desk to sit on the sofa opposite Zi Bo, “Has the cooperation with the Meng family still not been discussed?”

Zi Bo nodded, and without waiting for him to explain why, Xiao Yixiu kept right on talking, “It does make sense, brother is very busy going back and forth from the head office, Xia Qifan and Ren Yue have also been transferred back to help him, and you are so busy here, how could any of you have time for such an important negotiation? But as the deputy manager, I can not be so incompetent as to allow my brother to handle everything, this time is just right. Let me share some of the work with my brother, I don’t want him to be so stressed with all his work.”

Zi Bo hesitated, “This——”

“Don’t worry, this is entirely for my brother, if you don’t want me to do this, then I’ll drop the matter.” Xiao Yixiu promised.

Zi Bo sighed, “Okay then, but I’ll need to ask the boss first, he has the final say.”
