Chapter 102 - What Did You Do To My Son?

"Stop it," a rough male voice ordered.

The Pink Lady's face beamed when she heard the shop owner's voice.

Like a pitiful lady, she stood up with a wobbling leg and touched her swollen cheek with tear rimmed red eyes.

She appealed, "Owner, please call the police. This violent woman is going to kill me."

"I said stop it," said the same rough voice with a bit of anger in it now.

With proud eyes, the Pink Lady raised her eyebrows as she looked at Yue Wan. Smiling triumphantly she said: "Now, you will rot in jail."

The Shopowner rushed in front of Yue Wan and bowed suddenly with a frightened face.

His voice trembled in fear as he pleaded, "Madame, I'm extremely sorry for the way my staff acted right now. As compensation for your suffering, please accept 40% off of your purchase today."

The Pink Lady screamed at the Owner: "40% off?!? Owner are you crazy? Where you bewitched by that Wo---?"

'Slap'

Another slap landed on the other half of her face. This time the sound was much louder than the one before.

"Why your face is so hard? How many layers of foundation did you put on?"

While massaging her delicate hand that was turning red from hitting the woman a second time, Yue Wan stated in an almost pouting manner: "My wrist and palm both hurt so much. What a thick-skinned woman!"

With a bead of sweat on his face, the Shopowner escorted Yue Wan outside while bowing over and over again with respect. "I really must apologize, Young Miss Yue. I clearly did not teach my staff properly. This will never happen again."

He began to fidget in nervousness, as his gaze travelled above Yue Wan's head to where a CCTV was positioned.

Yue Wan chucked when she saw his action and turned her attention to the CCTV camera that the Shopowner was looking at. Not knowing whether she should laugh or cry, the only thought in her head was: 'That creepy nerd is on my back again.'

The Shopowner was grateful that the young girl before him did not go too far or try to destroy his livelihood like some spoiled rich girls could and would do.

As for the Pink Lady on the ground, she heard the mocking voice for the older salesclerk who was standing above her, "You judged her by her appearance, but if you are going to do that, learn a few things first. For example, that dress that she is wearing? Although it might look plain compared to what some of the wealthier girls might wear, in actuality, the price of that dress would not be less than $4 Million.

"What!?" The Pink Lady almost fainted on the spot when she heard what her co-worker said.

"That woman you insulted was the only daughter and princess of the Yue family, Young Miss Yue Wan."

"You are lying,"

Unable to understand just where she went wrong, the Pink Lady's face twisted with confusion and envy.

The Shopowner's hard voice interrupted the conversation between the two staff members to clarify some points of his own: "There are 3 families and 3 families alone that have access to this Black Platinum card, and the Yue family is one of them. This should have been taught to you on your first day of training you fool! And even if you didn't see this card, you still should be treating everyone that walks through that door like a VIP member. There are many Hidden Dragons in this City, as you just found out. You fool. I do not need to keep any staff member that treats our customers like you do. From now on, you are not to step foot in my shop. You are dismissed!"

The Pink Lady could not believe what had just happened. She started to shriek and scream in a loud voice over the unfairness of it all until she was kicked out of the shop

Once the commotion was over and the Pink Lady was escorted out, Yue Wan paid for her purchases (at full price) and then happily left the store. Seeing her brother's car by the curb, she skipped over to the trunk, put in her bags and then walked over to the passenger's side and got in.

In her happiness over her purchases and seeing Little Bao again, Yue Wan failed to see the man with short, blue hair following her outside.

-----In-car----

When Yue Wan sat inside the car, she found the atmosphere was somewhat weird. 'Why do I feel like I am near a volcano that is about to erupt?'

Little Bao jumped in her embrace and whined with his small, pitiful voice: "Meoww__Meoww__Meowww."

Yue Wan turned her head to look at her brother. She raised her eyebrows as if to ask: 'What did you do to my son?'

Seeing her look, Yue Xiang turned his attention away from her and started the car with a scoff. He didn't bother to explain.

Even after seeking out comfort from his Mommy, Little Bao pouted with sulkiness.

Yue Wan wiped the tears resting on Little Bao's eyelashes and whiskers.

"My baby, was the injection really that painful?"

"Meoww...Meoww."

"Next time we don't go there, okay?" She pacified with a honeyed voice.

Little Bao responded by rubbing his face all over his Mommy and got into a more comfortable position on her lap.

They didn't end up going home immediately, instead, Yue Xiang took them out for lunch and then to do some shopping. It was only when it got closer to 8:00 pm did they finish their dinner and left the hotel where the restaurant was.

Little Bao ate a lot, so he settled into the backseat of Yue Xiang's car and quickly fell asleep, while Yue Wan and Yue Xiang talked about the recent activities of the Yue shareholders.

Yue Wan warned her brother: "Big Brother, make sure you keep an eye on Mr. Guo!"

Yue Xiang nodded his head in acknowledgment.

The atmosphere was harmonious, but it was short-lived.

As their car turned onto a one-way street, a blue semi-truck T-boned them from the side.

'Slam...'

Yue Xiang only saw the lights from the other end before his entire world turned into chaos. What happened next was too sudden for him to truly understand what had happened.

The hit caused the car to spin out of control before hitting the curb which caused the car to rollover. The bright lights stunned the occupants of the car and the sound of shattering glass and crunching metal was all that they could hear. The seatbelts cut into their skin, preventing them from flying out of the wreckage, and the once inflated airbags were already deflating after the impact. The brother and sister barely had time to scream before the airbags had knocked them back and sideways.

Yue Wan's body jerked into the dashboard, her forehead bounced off the window leaving a large bump and a bleeding laceration.
