Chapter 149 - Ming! You Are Really Hopeless.

Straightening Shen Rui's custom made suit, Mrs. Shen took the chance to poke fun at him, "This is only a normal lunch, why are you all dressed up? Nervous?"

A smug smile appeared on his face as Shen Rui replied: "It's my first time going on a date so I want everything to be perfect. Unlike the two-timer, Ming who ditched his sweetheart to disturb my date."

"I didn't! Baka Rui! What nonsense are you sprouting?" Shen Ming explored with much displeasure and grievance.

Shen Rui glanced at him from his periphery. "Don't you dare deny it"

With a little pause, he whispered near Shen Ming's ear: "I have the evidence. Shall I show our mother your poor exam results?"

"You…" Shen Ming could only glare at him with pouting lips.

Mrs. Shen found their behaviour weird, so she probed the two of them: "Boys! What are you hiding?"

In a flushed face, similar to his red hair, Shen Ming blabbered: "Nothing, Mother... It's just that, can I spend more time here after lunch? There is fun-city on the top floor with numerous games, Please Mother?!?!?"

I need more time with wifey... Or else that carbon copy face of mine will steal the limelight.

Shen Rui eyed his twin, thinking inside that the later was so stupid he was beyond help. 

Ming! You are really hopeless. That's my wife so you won't have a chance.

Mrs. Shen broke out in a cold sweat looking at the ongoing war in their eyes. "..." 

Perhaps she shouldn't have told them beforehand about having lunch with Yue Wan. They were so energetic since early that morning. 

I hope It doesn't turn into a disaster...

----------At the Chen Institution for Drug Creation and Test Center----------

Yue Wan got out of the car and looked up at the large office building in front of her. No one would suspect that one of the best genetic labs in the country was located on the 10th floor.

Opening the door, she nodded to the security guard that sat at the entrance desk as she made her way to the elevator.

Luckily for her, Chen Ai's mom was the head researcher for this lab and Yue Wan was able to ask for a favour. She looked down at the black leather purse that was nestled under her arm.

Inside was the key to a puzzle, she hoped. Now, Yue Wan would know what to do next based on the results.

The elevator dinged, alerting Yue Wan that she had reached her destination, seconds before the door opened to the medical lab reception area. Walking towards the receptionist, Yue Wan pasted a shy, gentle smile as she looked at the other woman.

With her hands crossed in front of her, she gave a slight bow, as if she was nothing more than a commoner, and not someone that could shake the world. "Hello, I have an appointment with Mrs. Chen, my name is Yue Wan."

The receptionist looked her over up and down before turning to look at her computer. "Ah yes, I see the appointment here. Please have a seat on the couches to your left and someone will come and get you as soon as the Director is ready."

Yue Wan smiled gently and went to sit where she was directed. In situations like this, the weaker you seem to be, the more forgettable you are, and she did not want too many people to remember her in this office.

After 10 minutes, Mrs. Chen's secretary came to the front to escort Yue Wan into the Director's office.

Stepping through the door, Yue Wan saw an older woman with her long, black hair tied up in a bun and her black glasses sitting sleekly on her nose. Dressed concertedly in a black dress with a white lab coat on, it was hard to equate this woman with the always cheerful Chen Ai. "Hello, Mrs. Chen. Hope I didn't disturb you?"

"Not at all, Ms. Yue. Please, come in and have a seat." Mrs. Chen gestured to the two chairs in front of her.

Not hesitating, Yue Wan went to sit down on the one to the right.

"Now Ms. Yue, how can I help you?"

Yue Wan retrieved a box from her bag and slide it towards Dr. Chen. In a clear voice, she requested: "Mrs. Chen, I would like you to keep my visit here private. This is very confidential."

Dr. Chen picked up the box on the table, opened it. Her eyes widen in surprise: "This...!"

Her incisive gaze scanned the content inside and her lips eventually parted to say, "What do you want me to do with this?"

In Yue Wan's revenge plot, this was key to open the deep secret so she carefully took her steps to get this.

Yue Wan explained in a whisper: "I knew that Chen Hospital has old records of everything so I want you run a DNA check of everyone and compare them to this sample. Plus give me a complete detail report of the blood sample from everything including any medical issues or scientific results."

Then she places a folded paper before her and said: "Also check test compatibility with this person. This is quite private. And I don't believe in others that why I specifically came here… If it's you I can trust the results completely "

"Oh…" D. Chen's thoughts had been thrown into chaos. She was shocked by her sudden request, when she heard it, she hesitated for two seconds before she said, "Ms. Yue, it will take some time to analyze the results as there are more procedures and testing to be done according to your specifications."

Yue Wan nodded satisfactorily. "Don't worry. I can patiently wait for it."

The Yue family's disaster and her destiny were tied to this result. Her family would survive only after this person behind this was taken down. Therefore, she had to decimate this secret no matter what! In such a rocky climate, the person or party who could support her was Chen.

Dr. Chen was indebted to Yue Wan for giving them a clue on how to identify that drug during their last meeting so she was happy to help her. In a confident voice, she replied: " Ok then. I will personally test it and give you the results as soon as I have them."

Yue Wan nodded, her face genuine: "Thank you, I will be leaving now."

Dr. Chen: "It's my pleasure, Miss. Yue. You should come home one day. My husband and I haven't thanked you for your help."

Yue Wan accepted it with a cheerful grin: "Okay." And left the place.
