Liang Li Hua went to the washroom. Looking at the mirror, a flash of complicated glow went past her eyes.
Silence... long silence engulfed the room. Nothing could be heard but for the water drops slowly dripping and the sound of her heels knocking against the ground impatiently.
Her palm was covered in sweat. Quickly, she washed her hand with ice-cold water to relieve her anxiety.
While cleaning the stain, she looked at her reflection which spoke to her.
"Why are you still staying here? You already made your decision to ditch your trusted friends...." with a mocking smile, the mirror Liang revealed, "It's too late to regret it now."
Real Liang Li Hua felt like the sky was falling. "No... I don't regret it! This is my motive from the beginning so I don't regret it."
The mirror Liang sneered, "You're biased against your blind love. One day, you'll realize that you're wrong."
'Splash!' The water washed over the mirror.
"Leave me alone!" The real Liang Li Hua screamed at the mirror with teary eyes and used her bare hand to clean off that smirking reflection of hers.
.....
When she came out of the washroom, she felt a prickling gaze come over her. She looked up and searched around the area, but she failed to meet with a pair of smoldering black eyes.
Shrugging her shoulders, she opened the door and welcomed it with a darkness and a shadow sitting before her instead of her friends.
Liang Li Hua didn't make any noise, other than walking closer under the half-opened door light. Gulping down her fear, she asked nervously, "Where did you take them? What will happen to them?"
"You don't have the right to ask about that," an unfamiliar cold voice replied.
Liang Li Hua frowned, biting her lips, she inquired, "What about HIM? Where is he?"
'Tud...Tud,' the man tapped the table with his slender finger with no mood to reply to her.
That agitated Liang Li Hua more, she roared, "Are you taking back your words??"
The man remained silent.
"I did what you told me to do... What more do you want? You monster! Give me back my Joon." Liang Li Hua screamed and charged at him, but she was quickly subdued by some men, who appeared out of nowhere.
"Let me go!" She struggled.
Right then, a voice sounded out from nowhere.
"You've heard the phrase, right? Deadman tells no tales." A mocking sneer lingered in his words, "You must have spent so much time speculating about the day you and your beloved would be reunited, but you just got the wrong time."
"Stop dogging away and answer the actual question! What did you do to him? Tell me!" She shrieked.
Standing up, the man stepped a bit closer to her and said, "Take the advantage of time and this situation as much as possible. You sneak up and strike from behind on your own friends without hesitation. What will they think about you?"
He referred to her friends.
Liang Li Hua was perplexed for a moment and found the man's features familiar to someone else. She felt a flush of terror entering her heart! "....I don't know what you are talking about."
Revealing his cold, emotionless and murderous dark blue eyes before her, "You don't! But she does."
Suddenly, the door was pushed open at that time abruptly, and someone entered.
Liang Li Hua's eyes opened wider and saw the person in the panicked face. She struggled to breathe and her leg lost the strength to stand. "Wan!" She muttered as she looked at Yue Wan in shock as shivers went through her body and her heart ran cold.
Luckily, Yue Wan was fine…she thought, deep down inside. But it was too late to think that.
Yue Wan stood there with reddened eyes, she never would have thought that her friend would be a snake in the grass. She truly believed in her even after the truth was before her.
Moving near Yue Wan, Yue Yeager patted her head with tenderness, "Are you alright?"
Yue Wan discarded the tears away with her fluttering lashes, "Thank you for today, big brother. I will take it from here."
Giving Liang Li Hua one hard stare, Yue Yeager snapped his finger and ordered his men to follow him outside.
Soon the room became silent. Sitting opposite to each other, neither spoke a word.
Liang Li Hua's head hung lower and lower, consumed by shame.
Suddenly, she heard the sound of a chair scraping against the floor.
She knew that Yue Wan had stood up. She was a little nervous, and even though she felt like she had no face to look at Yue Wan, she still lifted her head and looked at her in anticipation.
"Li, you better give me a valid reason!" While controlling her rage, Yue Wan banged on the table so loudly that people's ears started to itch.
Liang Li Hua's act of betrayal could be called unjust and unfaithful! Not to mention that she had involved Little Chen and Tai Sun too.
If Yue Xiang was late by a second, the trio would have consumed the food with poison. There was not a tiny bit of disgust in Yue Wan's heart, but it filled her entire body. 'This not kidnapping but a murder attempt.'
Liang Li Hua was startled. Her heart flickered and tear pricked in her eyes.
They were filled with apologetic expressions. "Little Wan, I am sorry! I..."
"Sorry!" Yue Wan laughed humorlessly, her eyes betraying no hint of emotion. "After exploiting my friendship in order to kill me, you have the courage to say that?!?"
"No! No! He said it was a sleeping drug. I didn't have any choice other than this. I..I.." No words could justify her action. Liang Li Hua clenched her fists and rested them on her knees. Her facial expression was inexplicable.
After a period of silence, she confessed everything with tears. About her lover's sudden disappearance and later she received a parcel containing his watch which was a gift from her last year.
She even admitted that she didn't study in the same kindergarten as Yue Wan. Those words she said in their first meeting were all prepared by the mysterious caller.
Liang Li Hua explained in detail, "He called me randomly one day and issued me an order to do it. At first, I was reluctant to drug you, but the temptation to meet my beloved made me do this. HE told me this will knock you out for a period of time. My intention was never to hurt you."
"You already did." Yue Wan sat back in the chair with a gaze that was a little cold as she said.
"If you were in my situation you would do the same. Won't you do anything for the person you love, tell me! Wan!" Even though she didn't dare to expect her to forgive this, her heart still hoped, so tried to justify her part.
Her eyes held an undispellable shadow and pain, as she looked at Yue Wan.
