Chapter 34 - Triumphant

A ridiculing smirk sat upon Jinhee's face as she turned back— equalling the deride Jinkyung showed upon her face. Behind Jinkyung stood Kim Hyorin, her loyal supporter in either life.

"Even if I can't afford them, at least I'm not blatantly supporting my rivals," Jinhee jeered at Jinkyung.

The current situation appeared troublesome to Jinhee. In order to prevent bumping into Jinkyung, Jinhee purposely avoided the shop that contained the item from Moonstone Enterprise. However, she did not expect that Jinkyung would show up her for Aphrodite is Moonstone Enterprise's unspoken competitor.

"What are you trying to imply at?"

Slightly anger could noticed in Jinkyung's tone. Pampered from a young age, Jinkyung was not skilled in controlling her anger when it came to dealing with those who went against her.

"It seems I misunderstood," Jinhee spoke out, "You must be here to look around for new inspiration for Moonstone Enterprise. I didn't think Moonstone Enterprise stooped that low to send you for such a task."

Although the Moonstone Enterprise was under her grandfather, Lee Dowon, Lee Minjoon was the CEO for now, and such decisions are looked upon by the CEO. Jinhee was clear and not secretive with her words, so everyone present understood what she was trying to hint at.

Although it was a common thing for the companies in the same industries to look at each others' latest trends and get inspired, it was quite shamed at when it came out public, especially for the larger companies for it was a matter of pride.

Usually, the smaller employees are sent for these matter, and the matters are kept concealed. But everyone was aware of Jinkyung's status here, and this matter be remembering and used during gossiping.

"Lee Jinhee, aren't you in the same position as me?" Jinkyung gritted her teeth.

"If I am in the same position as you, does that mean you can't afford these too?" Jinhee grinned widely whilst being joyful for she was triumphant against Jinkyung.

Jinkyung's hand was tightly clenched, and her dark eyes glowered at Jinhee in rage. Nonetheless, it did not unnerve Jinhee and bought a pleasant feeling within Jinkyung.

Jinhee continued, "I'm not the openly confessing on how I'll be the future heiress to Moonstone Enterprise."

Jinhee words showed how she had no connection to the Moonstone Enterprise despite it being her family's enterprise. If Jinkyung were to be the heiress, with the things between these two sisters, there was no chances for Jinhee to remain within the Lee family.

Gracefully, Jinhee walked towards the section of the shop with the latest trends, paying no anger to the humiliated Jinkyung. The room was silent, and the staffs there did not dare break it.

'Lee Jinkyung, this is not the last time. I'll make you pay for all you have done to me.'

In order to maintain her gentle outlook, Jinkyung tried to hold in her rage and prevent herself from lashing out on to Jinhee. Lee Jinhee humiliated her today, and Jinkyung would not allow her to leave peacefully after that.

Whilst Jinhee's eyes scanned over the garments, searching for something proper to wear, a figure engulfed her into a hug from behind, surprising her.

"You're so cool today, Jinhee-ah, that you almost made me fall for you."
