Chapter 81 - Appropriate charges

Resting upon the soft bed, various kinds of thoughts plagued Jinhee's mind. Her current emotions were a mess, and she had no idea on how to sort them out properly.

If she had known of Yejun's existence earlier, would the tragedy from her last life wouldn't have occurred? Jaehyun and she would have been pure strangers.

All those bullying, humiliation, drama— she didn't have to deal with them. Her life would have been much more peaceful because the male she fell for was the one, who was beside her when she was left all alone.

Thinking about Yejun, Jinhee's heart felt tightened. She did not know the exact set of emotions she was currently feeling on that matter, but surely, hearing that boy had died made her feel downcast.

Nonetheless, how much did Jaehyun trust her to let her know about this matter, even after she had rejected his confession? If Jaehyun was a naive boy, then it would've been understandable.

However, that was not the case. Jaehyun was secretive, and he wouldn't let anyone, whom he didn't trust, in on this matter. Did he trust her that much in this life?

However, what had she done to earn this trust?

The first time, they had met was during his first day at school, and they held minimum conversation between both of them. Many things did not make sense in this world.

It was as if she was reading a book with few chapters missing.

As she walked towards the lobby, she could see that there were many eyes towards her, and a crowd of fans were trying to forcefully get into the building although there were security guards holding them back.

She could hear murmurs of people around, and judging by how their eyes were on her, she had a feeling that it was about her.

Stepping closer to Chaewon whilst trying to look unaffected by their gazes, Jinhee questioned, "What's going on?"

Jaehyun and his manager, Hwang Myunghoon, were not present at the lobby, and they were mostly likely trying to think of a way to deal with these crazy fans.

As the fans spotted her, Jinhee could feel them staring fiercely at her. What did she do to stimulate such an angry group of fans?

"You ugly woman, go and kill yourself!" One of them yelled.

Jinhee shivered hearing that threat, and memories of her previous life, when she had to deal with Jaehyun's crazy fans, surfaced.

"Check the web," Chaewon, "A rumour on Jaehyun and you is trending currently."

"Jaehyun and me?" Jinhee questioned as she immediately took out her phone to check it.

Her eyes widened when she saw title, and she mumbled, "Famous soloist, Kim Jaehyun, and his rumoured lover."

The post read, "Kim Jaehyun, a famous South Korean soloist, had arrived with the crew members yesterday to Okinawa, Japan. Tagged along with them was female, who was not a member of the crew, and this arose curiosity from many fans.

Last night, both of them were caught on the beach together spending time with each other and hugging. Not only that, they seen taking walks by the beach and even have meals at a local restaurant alone.

Could there be something between the both of them? No conclusive statement has been released yet from Jaehyun's Entertainment, and fans are in wait of that."

Reading the contents of the post, a gasp left Jinhee's mouth. She absolutely did not want to get involved in a scandal this time, but it seemed that did not happen.

Jinhee's hand shivered whilst she looked at those fans outside, and she bit her lip. She recalled how some of the crazy fans tried to invade her privacy and tried to attack her.

Last night was something she couldn't stop. When she saw Jaehyun breaking down that way, Jinhee couldn't hold in her desire to bring comfort to him. All the possibilities of reporters being there were forgotten by her.

A soft brushing on her head bought Jinhee's attention back, and she looked up to see that it was Jaehyun standing in front of her, appearing worriless about the entire situation.

Does that mean he had found a solution to the problem?

"Don't worry too much," Jaehyun stated, bringing reassurance to her.

The fans and reporters, who were forcefully trying to enter into the building, spotted Jaehyun, and their cursing towards Jinhee grew more intense. Jinhee backed a step.

Jinhee felt someone place a hand on her shoulder, and turning, Jinhee noticed that it was Chaewon. It seemed that this was Chaewon's way of comforting her. After a long time, she felt that she wasn't alone facing this, and this calmed her nerves to a certain extent.

Stepping towards the crowd, Jaehyun's manager, Hwang Myunghoon, voiced out, "Actions will be taken against libel according to laws, and those who are reluctant to leave will visit the police station with appropriate charges."

After saying that, Myunghoon let out a yawn and brushed his hair into more of a mess than it already was.

"This should do it. I have to go back to bed now. Let Akane finish her solo shoots today."
