Chapter 92 - Barely acquainted

Hearing the knocks on the door, Jaehyun stepped towards the door and opened the door. Slight shock became visible on his face when he saw Taehee.

Without 'her' wig, Taehee had 'her' short hair in a mess, and she wore a white wrinkled shirt. Dark circles was beneath Taehee's eyes whilst 'she' let out a yawn. It looked as if she aged by ten years in a day.

Seeing such untidiness on Taehee made Jaehyun wonder about what could have happened.

Pointing towards his head, Jaehyun questioned, "Where is your wig?"

Sloppily, Taehee walked into Jaehyun's room, and as Jaehyun closed the door, Taehee fell down on Jaehyun's bed. Placing her hand upon her eyes, Taehee let out a deep breath.

Jaehyun went towards his fridge and took out a bottle of cold drink. Stepping towards Taehee, Jaehyun threw the bottle towards Taehee, and it landed beside 'her' head.

As Jaehyun sat upon the coach, Taehee voiced out, "If she doesn't need me anymore, what's the use of disguising myself?"

"What happened?" Jaehyun questioned, taking a sip out of his drink.

Taehee scoffed at 'herself'. "I ruined it all; She hates me completely."

"You are going to give up that easily?" Jaehyun questioned.

Sighing, Taehee said, "There's no use in making her uncomfortable. I just want her to be happy."

Sitting up on the bed, Taehee looked down upon 'her' knees and said, "I knew that we'll be separated one day, but I guess, I didn't expect this to come too soon."

Staring at Jaehyun with a sad smile, Taehee said, "I suppose that this is the signal that I should leave her alone this time around and let her find someone else."

"That's good. If you decide to give up, I'll have lesser of a competition," Jaehyun bluntly voiced out.

"Wow!" Taehee gasped. "Shouldn't you be comforting me at this moment?"

"I don't comfort sore losers," Jaehyun voiced out, "If you want to give up pursuing Jinhee, you better flee out of the country and never show yourself here."

"I wanted. I wanted to flee, but," Taehee said, "Taeho is the problem. I can't flee because of him."

"Heol! You even thought of that? You're really a coward this time around," Jaehyun stated.

"Yah! Kim Jaehyun! Do you know how much pain I'm in right now? It almost feels likes death," Taehee said, "Thinking about it, should I just commit suicide now?"

"Be my guest," Jaehyun voiced out sedately as if it wasn't anything big.

"Yah! Yah! Yah! You're too heartless, Kim Jaehyun! Shouldn't you be saying something to cheer me up!?" Taehee commented.

"You don't look upset," Jaehyun retorted, "Now, get out of here; I have work to do unlike someone."

"Kim Jaehyun, don't you think there's something we don't know about Jinhee?" Taehee questioned whilst staring at him with a serious expression.

Throwing the bottle at the trashcan, Jaehyun voiced out, "There are lots of things we don't know about her."

"That's true, but it's like she wanted to break all connections with us from the beginning. If it's with you, it's understandable because you're a famous celebrity. But me? I'm sure I did not do anything to offend her," Taehee stated, taking a sip out of her drink.

"Isn't it because you're too forceful and annoying from the very beginning?" Jaehyun raised up one of his eyebrows.

Rubbing the back of her head, Taehee said, "That's because I thought repeating our past memories would make her remember about it."

"Is that why you basically kidnapped her once?" Jaehyun rolled his eyes.

Taehee chuckled. "She was way cuter when I kidnapped her the first time though. This time, she gave me the cold face the entire time. However, did you notice it?"

"I suppose what you said can be true. She did seem to be wary of me in the beginning and tried to avoid me as well," Jaehyun said.

"What do you think could be the factor behind it? Normally, with her personality, she wouldn't have distanced herself away. There must be something behind it; That something made her so cold towards me from the beginning," Taehee said— her voice holding deep sentiments.

That's when, Taehee's phone rang, and taking it out of her pocket, she noticed that it was a call from Chaewon. Confusion filled her on why she would be calling 'her' when they barely acquainted.

As she picked up the call, Chaewon questioned, "Han Taehee, do you know where Jinhee could be at?"

Between both of 'her' brows creases appeared whilst Taehee voiced out, "She should be in her room. Is she not there?"

"No, and my phone is having some problems. I also looked through the beach and hotel," Chaewon voiced out, sounding worried.

Rubbing her temple, Taehee said, "Alright. I'll try to contact Jinhee then and say that you needed her."

"Thanks, Taehee."

Hanging up the call, Taehee turned to look at Jaehyun. An amused look sat over his usual nonchalant expression whilst he stared at Taehee.

"Go on and call her."

Jaehyun's lips curved up to a smirk.

"Jaehyun-ah, aren't you worried about Jinhee?"

Cringed out by how Taehee addressed him, Jaehyun said, "What about it?"

"Can't you just call her and check up on her?" Taehee pouted and blinked her eyes multiple times towards Jaehyun.

"You do it," Jaehyun stated.

"I would want to, but you know how much she hates me currently. She won't pick up if I call her now." Taehee stared at the ground while drawing circles on her pant.

"Fine, but only because I am worried for her."
