Chapter 136 - Good dream

Standing outside of the pink door, Taehee softly knocked on it. Receiving no words from inside after a minute, Taehee decided to open the door.

Turning the knob, Taehee walked into the room, and held in her hand was a tray. On the tray was a plate with a cake slice on top of it and a glass of orange juice.

"Sorry for being so late, Jinhee-ah. There were some important matters which—"

Noticing that Jinhee had fallen asleep, Taehee closed the door slowly behind her whilst trying her best to not make a sound.

Walking towards the bed, Taehee placed the tray on the nightstand, and then, unfolding the blanket, Taehee placed it upon Jinhee.

Getting up on the bed, Taehee took one of the pillows, and raising Jinhee's head up, Taehee placed the pillow behind her head.

After that, Taehee sat down on the bed beside Jinhee and stared at her sleeping face with a slight smile on her face.

"You are looking peaceful. Are you having a good dream?" Taehee mumbled.

Pushing the bangs away from her face, Taehee added, "I hope you can look like that forever."

Hearing the knocks on the door, Taehee's attention on Jinhee got distracted, and looking towards the door, Taehee saw her mother open the door.

Getting off the bed, Taehee walked towards her mother, Han Jihye, whilst Han Jihye stared at her with a smile on her face.

"So, that's where you were," Jihye voiced out.

Taehee nodded and then said, "It seems that she had fallen asleep. It's better that we leave."

"She looks like a decent girl. I wouldn't mind having her as my daughter-in-law," Jihye expressed as both of them walked towards the door.

Closing the door behind her, Taehee rolled her eyes and voiced out, "You find all the cute girls decent, which makes me wonder why you married dad in the first place."

"Isn't that because he relentlessly chased after me?" Jihye questioned.

"The men in our family always has to chase after the girls." Han Taehee sighed.

Jihye just chuckled and spoke out, "I doubt Jinhee would fall for you when you're dressed as a girl."

"Now that Taeho convinced her to stay here, I'll slowly reveal myself to her." Taehee winked.

"She is Taeho's soon to be fiancée in the end though. So, mind your behavior," Jihye stated as they walked in the hallway.

"Speaking about that, Mom, do you know why he took her as his fiancée?" Taehee questioned whilst halting in her steps.

Staring at Han Jihye with pleading eyes, Taehee desperately hoped that Jihye would reveal the truth to her. After all, she was dying with curiosity, and Taehee couldn't ask Jinhee about it.

"Kneel before me, and tell me that you love me and will be obedient for hundred times. Then, I might consider  about it," Jihye spoke out with a mischevious smirk on her face.

Taehee rolled her eyes.

"This shows that you don't know about it," Taehee spoke out.

"Yah! How are you so sure about it?" Jihye stated— slight anger noticeable in her tone.

Looking at Han Jihye with a bored expression, Taehee spoke out, "You didn't even know Jinhee was his soon to fiancée in the first place."

Folding her arms over her chest, Han Jihye voiced out, "I knew about it; I simply pretended back then to not know about it."

Ignoring her mother's word, Han Taehee mumbled, "If you don't know about it, then can dad know about it? If he does, then how can I get him to tell me about it?"

An excited girl rushed through the hallway with a big smile on her face. Her ponytail moved along with her as she ran, and her foot hit ground below her, making an audible noise.

Standing in front of the door, the girl touched her knee and breathed heavily. Nonetheless, the smile on her face did not falter.

When her breathing was stabilized, she stood up straight and knocked on the door in front of her whilst anticipating for the moment to come.

Soon enough, the door to the room opened, revealing a tall girl. A towel hung around the tall girl's neck, and her hair appeared to be slightly wet as if she just took a shower.

A white t-shirt and a pair of black trousers was worn by her. Held within her hand was packet of banana milk, and after taking a sip out of it, the beautiful, tall girl stared at the excited girl.

"What's the matter, Lee Jinhee?" The tall girl questioned.

She, then, added, "You look quite excited."

With a hopeful look in Jinhee's eyes, she, in an elated tone, voiced out, "Guess what, Taehee-ah! I have gotten above eighty on all of the exams!"

Holding the sheet of paper in front of Taehee's face, Jinhee showed her the results. The marks for all the individual subjects were mentioned there.

Patting Jinhee's head softly, Taehee expressed, "You've done a really good job, Lee Jinhee."

Hearing that, Lee Jinhee's eyes brightened up more, and the smile on her face became wider. She had received an compliment from her idol, Han Taehee!

"I'll treat you to dinner tonight, Taehee-ah! I couldn't have done this without your help!" Jinhee excitedly stated.

"Alright then. I'm looking forward to it, Jinhee," Taehee spoke out. On her face sat an elegant smile.

"Oh! I remember! Where is the gift that you promised me?" Jinhee questioned as her eyes showed a sparkle.

Taehee let out a chuckle.

"Come inside, and I'll show it to you," Taehee spoke out— her voice sounding gentle.

As Taehee stepped inside the room gracefully, Jinhee, after closing the door behind her, followed after her like an excited kid.

Picking up the red and white scarf from the table, Taehee unfolded it and neatly wrapped it around Lee Jinhee's neck. Fixing it properly, Taehee gave Jinhee a soft smile.

"There you go," Taehee spoke out, "You absolutely suit this colour."

Holding the scarf around her neck, a big smile formed on Jinhee's face, showing that she was content with the gift.

"Thank you, Taehee-ah," Jinhee spoke out. This was a gift from her idol, and most definitely, she'll be treasure it.

A loud noise interrupted her and took her away from that happiness.
