Chapter 150 - Intense eating session

'It's all for the sake of your pride. You can't give up that easily. If you try to argue against him, you'll be the one losing, so quietly eat the cake and go to sleep. Lock the room before that and stay inside the room as long as you can.'

Lee Jinhee repeated the same sentences over and over again inside her mind whilst she painfully ate the fifth slice of the cake. Three more slices were left, and Lee Jinhee could see her consciousness fading away.

No matter how delicious the food was, Lee Jinhee wasn't someone who overate usually, and the taste of the cake was starting to get nauseating with each bite. Any minute now, she will have to rush to the bathroom to throw it all up.

Watching Han Taehyun's amused face whilst she tried to eat the cake made Lee Jinhee irritated. Nonetheless, she was too tired to glare at him at this moment.

'A pervert! A creep! And a sadist! All of this was what Han Taehyun is!'

Bringing up another piece closer to her mouth, Lee Jinhee was about to put it inside her mouth when her body suddenly ran out of courage, and her head collapsed on the table.

She couldn't continue to eat any longer.

Han Taehyun laughed and spoke out, "This was some intense eating session. You don't have to force yourself when you can't eat any longer. I won't kill you or threaten you over it."

Raising her head, Lee Jinhee stared at Han Taehyun, and finding no energy within her to argue with Han Taehyun, she closed her eyes. Her stomach started to feel wide, and she desperately prayed that she won't throw up at this moment.

That would be too embarrassing!

"You really enjoy torturing yourself, Jinhee-ah," Han Taehyun spoke out as he got up from his seat.

'I don't want to be humiliated by you with the fact that I like you or something. I did this to shut down your irritating mouth!'

Nonetheless, Lee Jinhee had no energy to voice out those words, and she kept her eyes closed, hoping that the growing pain in her stomach would ease down.

"I'll get you the medicines in a bit," Taehyun said.

After taking the medicines, Lee Jinhee walked up to her bedroom and decided to rest for a moment. Han Taehyun said nothing irritating during the entire time, and therefore, Lee Jinhee found his presence comforting.

Han Taehyun quietly sat her side whilst Lee Jinhee rested upon the bed in order to see whether or not she needed anything. The entire time, a guilty expression sat on Han Taehyun's face.

Han Taehyun knew how stubborn Lee Jinhee could be and yet he challenged her just because of the amusement he could get from this. If truth was told, Han Taehyun would like Lee Jinhee despite how she looked.

After all, no matter what, she would be his Lee Jinhee— the cute little squirrel of his who was fun to tease, and whom he wanted to protect and love the entire time.

As he watched Lee Jinhee fall asleep, Han Taehyun patted Lee Jinhee's head softly and tried to bring comfort to her. After she woke up, he promised to make her happy.

Lee Jinhee's face eased down, and Han Taehyun could see that she had fallen asleep. Looking at her peaceful features, a smile formed on his face. Getting down from the bed, Han Taehyun pulled up the blanket and covered her body completely.

Walking towards the door, Han Taehyun turned back once to look at Jinhee's expression, and opening the door, Han Taehyun walked out of the room. Carefully, he closed the door behind him in order to not make any noise.

Fortunately, Lee Jinhee did not avoid him after knowing his gender and was quite understanding about it. This made a small smile formed on his face. Lee Jinhee was extremely naive at times, and Han Taehyun could see how she was growing a soft spot for him.

If he was a bad guy, she would've been eaten up by now, and this just increased his urge to protect her more. Looking at how oblivious Jinhee could be at times, Han Taehyun wanted to lock Lee Jinhee up and keep her safe from all the dangers around her.
