Chapter 196 - Be good

Lee Jinhee's words made Han Taehyun stand up straight and hold onto her shoulders, Taehyun looked into her eyes. Jinhee could see the anger and disappointment within his eyes. She did not understand why Taehyun was showing such emotions. Did she do anything wrong?

"Lee Jinhee, do you still not understand what you mean to me? Are you really that oblivious to everything? Yes, my world does revolve around you, and without you, it would cease to exist. I don't know how many times I have to explain the same thing to you. To me, you're the most important; You're my obsession," Taehyun expressed— his voice showing how genuine he was being.

Han Taehyun's words caused Jinhee's cheeks to gradually turn red, and mustering up her courage, Jinhee questioned, "Then why did you ignore me earlier today? Why did you not annoy me today?"

Whilst staring at the ground Jinhee mumbled, "You even made new friends whom you are really happy with."

"You were sad because of that?" Taehyun questioned.

Looking the other way, Lee Jinhee spoke no more words. She was too embarrassed to utter another word. Understanding what Jinhee was currently feeling, Taehyun had a smile form on his face.

"Jinhee-ah, that was because I was sulking and wanted you to miss my presence, coax me. I did not expect that to backfire, and about those girls, I wanted to make you jealous. I did not think it would work that well though. Anyway, I am sorry about it and wouldn't try to provoke you in such a way."

Looking up at Han Taehyun, Jinhee said, "I was not jealous."

Pinching Jinhee's cheeks, Taehyun stated, "But because of jealousy, you cannot let yourself be harmed. You need to have a good night's sleep and watch where you go."

"I told you that I was not jealous, and that your curse was the reason I could not sleep. Who told you to hang out with other girls after saying all those words to me? I was just shocked, and because of my shock, those tears left my eyes. I couldn't process my surroundings due to this and therefore, almost slipped down."

"Jinhee, this possessive side of yours is cute as well. Fine, since you're this cute, I promise to devote myself to you, and without your permission, I wouldn't make any friends. Are you happy with that?" Taehyun declared.

"I am not that controlling. You have your freedom to do whatever you want," Jinhee said.

"I know, I know, but I don't want you to be sad. It's nice to see you this attached and possessive over me," Taehyun stated, "Are you a step closer to falling for me?"

Jinhee punched Taehyun's chest and shook her head. She then said, "I am serious, Taehyun. You can make other friends, and if you say 'no' this time around, I will sabotage all of your friendship with the people I hate."

Han Taehyun pinched at Jinhee's nose and vocalised, "This possessive side of yours attracts me so much. How can one person be so charming? But I think the only person I need in my life is you. If you don't want me to be with someone, just tell me the word."

Jinhee mumbled, "Now you're making me feel bad."

"One more thing, you cannot ignore me. Even if I am rude to you, you should just endure it, and you should not go away despite me ordering you to do so. Do you still want to maintain a friendship with me?"

Taehyun wore a smile on his face and kissed on Jinhee's forehead. Instead of pushing Taehyun away, Jinhee closed her eyes, and now that she found herself in a relaxed mood, sleep hit her. Leaning against Taehyun's chest, Jinhee closed her eyes; It took her only a few seconds to move into her Dreamland.

Seeing that Jinhee was not moving, Han Taehyun held her shoulders and pulled them back. Staring at Jinhee's face, Taehyun could see that she was asleep, and Taehyun shook his head at the girl.

"My Little Squirrel, you really need to grow self aware," Taehyun voiced out.

°°°

Feeling ice cold water on her face, Jinhee immediately sat up on the bed and wiped her face before yawning. Annoyed that someone had disturbed her peaceful sleep, Jinhee turned to her left to see who that person was.

Min Hyunbin stood beside her bed whilst wearing a mischievous smirk, and beside him was Shin Soyeon. Han Taehyun was nowhere in sight, and this made Jinhee feel disappointed.

Jinhee recalled her conversation with Han Taehyun, and embarrassment instantly filled her. Due to a lack of sleep, she had uttered out many mortifying words, and at this moment, Jinhee wanted to erase all of that desperately.

"Min Hyunbin, what's wrong with you?" Jinhee questioned.

Jinhee noticed that she was in the infirmary and remembered that she had fallen asleep on Taehyun's chest. Taehyun must have carried her all the way here.

That is when the curtains were pulled back, and Han Taehyun stepped into the room. Jinhee's eyes stared at him for a second before turning the other was. A shade of light pink coloured Jinhee's cheeks.

"You have to go to my place, remember? Now, hurry up! I don't have time to wait for you," Hyunbin vocalised.

"All the classes are already over?" Jinhee asked.

Shin Soyeon nodded at which Jinhee let out a sigh. She had missed today's classes as well. At this rate, Jinhee had no hopes of being in the top fifty for the next exam.

"Jinhee-ah, how are you feeling now?" Taehyun questioned whilst walking closer to Jinhee.

Looking the other way, Jinhee answered, "I am fine."

Then, Lee Jinhee turned to look at Min Hyunbin and vocalised, "Let's get going then."

Pressing her palms on the bed, Jinhee sat up straight when Taehyun bade her goodbye, "Be safe, Jinhee, and don't hurt yourself again."

Lee Jinhee just nodded her head while avoiding to meet Taehyun's eyes. As Jinhee walked towards the curtains, Han Taehyun patted Jinhee's head, causing Jinhee's heart to skip a beat.
