Chapter 198 - Harsh of you

After the hearty breakfast, Lee Jinhee took a light nap, and after that, she decided to visit Ahn Chaewon. Her wrist was starting to get better, and she could pick up things with it. As clingy as Han Taehyun was, he decided to follow after Jinhee.

Despite Jinhee's words of protest, she was happy to have Taehyun come with her. Shin Soyeon came along as well, and the three of them headed towards the apartment hired for them by Jaehyun.

Sitting in the car beside Han Taehyun, Jinhee stared at the bright sky outside, and a sigh left her mouth. Negative thoughts were invading her mind once again and Jinhee had no idea on how to drive them away.

Turning towards Taehyun, a smile formed on Jinhee's face. Although Taehyun was annoying, he played his part as a distraction very well and at this moment, Jinhee needed that.

"Taehee, don't you have something else to do on weekends?" Lee Jinhee questioned in an attempt to start a conversation.

Taehyun stated, "Aren't you my priority, Jinhee-ah?"

"Do you know how greasy you are, Taehee?" Jinhee questioned.

"I know exactly how smooth I am, especially when it comes to you," Taehyun vocalised whilst winking.

Lee Jinhee laughed, and turnedtowards Shin Soyeon, asking , "Soyeon-ssi, how much smooth do you think Taehee is?"

"Young Lady Taehee is at an average level currently," Soyeon answered whilst curving her lips into a smile.

Hearing her answer, Jinhee let out a chuckle and stated, "See, you're just average. Flirt with me when you have improved those mediocre skills of yours."

"At least I have skills, unlike a certain someone," Taehyun pointed out whilst winking at Jinhee.

Raising one of her eyebrows, Jinhee asked, "Are you implying to me?"

Han Taehyun shrugged and crossed his legs. Seeing his reply, a scoff left Jinhee's mouth, and leaning closer to Taehyun, Jinhee said, "I have skills. However, seeing how lovesick you're over me currently, I decided to take pity on you and not make you anymore sick."

"Is that so?" Taehyun asked.

Extending his hand, Taehyun patted Jinhee's head and added, "So, when will you be accepting this pitiful me's confession?"

Staring at her nails, Jinhee stated, "Too bad, I am engaged. Better luck next time."

"Don't you think it would look great if Taeho was cuckolded?" Taehyun raised one of her eyebrows.

"How will he become a cuckold when I am not planning to cheat on him in the first place?" Jinhee questioned.

"It would take me less than a week to make you cheat, but I am holding back my skills. I don't want the fun to end that easily," Taehyun voiced out.

"Of course, certainly you are. If you held back those skills of yours a lot more, I might have liked you somewhat. You see, frivolous people aren't my type," Jinhee said.

"I did not want to fall for someone like you, but see where life got me. I accepted you, so accept me fast. Playing hard to get is too boring and cliché," Taehyun stated.

"Heol! Your confidence makes me speechless," Jinhee expressed.

"You're wrong. Every quality and ability of mine makes everyone speechless," Taehyun said.

"I won't point out the lies in that sentence and will just let you believe those words," Jinhee voiced out.

"How can you point out lies when there are none?" Taehyun questioned whilst raising one of his eyebrows.

Lee Jinhee yawned and said, "Can you ask me that question when I am more awake? Currently, I am too occupied to answer that. I am a busy person after all."

"Certainly you are. The entire day you have to think about how to hide how much love you feel for me so that I wouldn't find out about it even though I can pretty much see through everything," Taehyun said.

"Omo! Taehee, your guessing abilities are getting worse. I was busy thinking about how to murder you. Why are people like you so hard to kill?" Jinhee vocalised.

"Isn't that because I am the main lead? Killing the main lead is almost impossible for peasants such as you," Taehyun stated.

"If you were the main lead, then the sales for the novel would be zero," Jinhee retorted.

"A picture of me is enough for readers to give the novel a try. Of course, you'll be the Female Lead who will be cursed by the readers for being this way with me," Taehyun said.

"I wanted to be the villain who manages to kill the Main Lead," Jinhee stated.

"You should not be that demanding and instead be happy with what you have," Taehyun vocalised.

Standing outside of the door, the three of them waited for Ahn Chaewon to open the door. A few seconds later, the door to the room opened, and seeing the three of them, a smile formed on Chaewon's face.

Raising her hand, Jinhee said, "I bought some food for you. You might not be familiar with the shops here."

Accepting the bag of food from Jinhee, Chaewon said, "Thank you, Jinhee."

"Thanks for visiting. You can come in," Chaewon voiced out before moving away in order to allow them to enter in.

Lee Jinhee nodded and walked into the room. Taehyun and Soyeon followed after her. Lee Jinhee stared around the apartment and could see how neatly everything was arranged.

As the three of them sat down on the couch, Jinhee asked, "Where is your mother, Chaewon?"

"Mom is resting at this moment. I'll get you all something to eat."

Saying that, Ahn Chaewon stepped towards the kitchen whilst Jinhee looked at the newspaper laying on the table in front of her. Kwon Youngmi's name was visible on the newspaper, and looking at that, Jinhee turned her head away immediately.

Taehyun poked at Jinhee's shoulder, causing her to turn towards him and ask, "What do you want?"

"Wow! So rude," Taehyun commented.

Taehyun then continued, "Don't you think it was too harsh of you to ask Jaehyun for help?"

Lee Jinhee raised one of her eyebrows and asked, "Why do you think so?"
