Chapter 208 - Miss me

As the both of them stood in the hallway, Lee Jinhee noticed how the stairway was behind Youngmi and had an inkling about what she was planning. Jinhee might have missed this if it was in her last life. However, in this life of hers, Jinhee was too vigilant to miss such an obvious thing.

Narrowing her eyes, Jinhee asked, "What do you need, Kwon Youngmi?"

"Jinhee, my birthday party is coming soon," Youngmi vocalised, "Do you mind attending?"

Lee Jinhee raised her eyebrows at Youngmi's words. In her last life, although the event took place a year later, Jinhee recalled attending Youngmi's birthday. Memories of how she was humiliated resurfaced within Jinhee's mind, and she would be a fool if she went there without any further protection.

However, being invited by Youngmi to her birthday party is quite honourable, and rejecting such a thing might become harmful for her later on.

"I will think about it," Jinhee replied out.

Wearing a smile on her face, Youngmi extended her hand towards Jinhee and held out the invitation card towards her. As Jinhee was about to take the card from Youngmi, she bent her back and was about to fall down.

Jinhee guessed Youngmi's actions beforehand, and before Youngmi could slip down, she gripped her wrist. As Jinhee pulled Youngmi towards her, she lost her balance due to Youngmi's weight and fell down on the floor.

Youngmi fell down upon Jinhee.

Controlling the temper which rose within her, Youngmi forced out an apologetic expression, and with concern being shown on her face, she immediately stood up.

Youngmi bowed and said, "Thank you, Jinhee-ssi. I am really sorry. This is all because of me."

Pressing her hand on the floor, Jinhee stood up, and from the corner of her eyes, she noticed the people staring at them. Lee Jinhee was sure that Youngmi was responsible behind it. If Youngmi had fallen down, then all of them would push down the blame on her.

"Be careful next time around," Jinhee said before turning her back on Youngmi. Holding the card in her hand, she walked towards the direction of the classroom.

Watching Jinhee's distancing back, a smirk formed on Youngmi's face. This was merely the beginning. She had more than one plot in her mind, and things aren't fun if they happen that easily anyways.

As Shin Soyeon followed after Jinhee, Taehyun stood rooted to his place whilst his eyes stared at Youngmi. Destroy Youngmi— that was the only thing in his mind.

Before that, maybe he could allow his Jinhee to play around with Youngmi for a while. Leaving Youngmi like this for too long might backfire on them.

°°°

Thursday had arrived soon, and it was the day for them to visit Jaehyun at the airport. Lee Jinhee was excited about seeing him after so long, and Taehyun followed with a sour mood. Ahn Chaewon was happy to see the boy as well.

As the three of them spotted Kim Jaehyun— who was dressed in black, wore a cap and sunglasses, and had his face covered with a mask— they were about to walk towards him when they noticed something.

A teen girl, who had her blond hair tied up in a ponytail, walked towards Jaehyun, and she wore a cute lavender dress. Recognizing the girl in front of her as Kwon Youngmi, Jinhee's eyes narrowed.

Unlike Jinhee and Chaewon who halted in their steps, Taehyun walked towards Jaehyun, and shaking his head at their actions, a small smile formed on his face.

°°°

"Jaehyun Oppa, hello!" Youngmi voiced out as she stood before him.

Removing his sunglasses, Jaehyun stared at her with a nonchalant expression and enunciated, "Kwon Youngmi."

"Jaehyun Oppa, how has your trip been?" Youngmi questioned.

Before Kim Jaehyun could give an answer to Youngmi's question, Taehyun stepped towards him, and placing his arm around Jaehyun's shoulder, Taehyun pulled Jaehyun closer to him.

Blinking his eyes multiple times and attempting to put an aegyo, he said, "Oppa, did you miss me? Who is she?"

Noticing how Youngmi's face contorted for a second there, laughter left his mouth. Sighing at the man, Jaehyun extended his hand to push Taehyun away from him.

Moving away from around Jaehyun, Taehyun wiped his hand on his pants as if trying to clean them, and smiling towards Jaehyun, Taehyun said, "Don't worry! I find it more disgusting than you do, but the reaction on your girlfriend's face was much funnier."

Youngmi said, "I am not his girlfriend, Taehyun-ssi."

At that moment, Chaewon and Jinhee walked towards Jaehyun. The security was trying to control his fans from getting close to them, and looking at how enthusiastic the fans were being, Jinhee thought it would be better for them to leave at this moment.

"Right. I am sorry. Jaehyun is too obsessed with Jinhee to—"

Before Taehyun could continue, Jinhee raised her hand to grip his ear and pulled him back. Jaehyun was just back, and Taehyun started annoying Jaehyun.

"How are you, Jaehyun?" Jinhee questioned.

Smiling towards her, he answered, "The trip was fun, and I am fine as well. How about you?"

"The days had been eventful. I think it's better we leave now before we get attacked by your fans," Jinhee vocalised.

Extending his hand towards her, Jaehyun patted the top of her head and voiced out, "Sure, let's do that. It's nice to see you, Jinhee."

"Same, Jaehyun-ah."

Seeing both of their interactions, Chaewon found her chest painfully clenching, and she turned to look the other way. Seeing both of them interact was too painful for her.

Kwon Youngmi, on the other hand, pulled her hand into a tight fist whilst gritting her teeth. That was when Youngmi eyes fell upon Chaewon, and a glint appeared in her eyes as if she noticed something interesting.

'This is definitely going to be fun, Lee Jinhee.'

Oblivious to Youngmi's intentions, Jinhee walked beside Jaehyun whilst wearing a wide smile sat upon her face as Taehyun glared at him.
