"Isn't it hard on you?" Lee Jinhee questioned.
For a mere seventeen year old, Han Taehyun was doing a lot. Lee Jinhee was someone he barely know, and for his love towards her, he was willing to be very much persistent when the results were unclear.
He made promises on protecting her forever and not letting her regret anything about it. Maybe one month or even one year might seem understandable, but forever is too long.
Imagining how all those rude reactions and rejection would have hurt him made her heart clench painfully. Even Kim Jaehyun was not as rude to her compared to how cruel she was to Taehyun at times.
All those hurt she went through while being with Jaehyun was enough to clench her heart painfully. She could only imagine about how Taehyun could have felt.
Taehyun certainly went slightly far for her attention at times. Then again, she was once in his position. Desperation had driven her to do lots of crazy things in her last life for Kim Jaehyun and Han Taehyun.
Han Taehyun had no close friends, and he had spend most of his time beside Jinhee. So, she wondered on about when or to whom he let out the frustration about the entire thing.
In her last life, she had Han Taehyun to pour out her feelings towards, and if Taehyun had similar feelings for her in her previous life, maybe she had hurt Taehyun as well. Nonetheless, there was nothing she could do about that.
Taehyun was a protected seventeen year old, who barely faced any hardsh.i.p.s. However, for Lee Jinhee, he had went past his comfort zone multiple number of times in this life of her.
Subconsciously, she knew about it, and maybe that was what that made her fall for her. In this life of hers, she needed someone to stand beside her regardless of what she did and guide her; She needed a shoulder to cry on to.
She did not want someone she wanted to seem perfect for or try hard to keep the heart of; Her heart did not desire for someone she would have to change herself for.
It was almost the similar thing that happened with Jaehyun and her, except Taehyun was her and she was Jaehyun this time around.
If Taehyun loved her, he must have felt insecure and hurt when he knew about how she has some personal things to discuss with Taeho and is his fiancee regardless of how it was without any romantic feelings involved.
Taehyun smiled at her and shrugged his shoulders. Then, he vocalised, "Nothing is worse than the feeling of losing you, and if it is not that, I can bear anything."
As creases appeared between both of her eyebrows, she asked, "Why does it seem as if you have gone through something like this before?"
Jinhee then continued, "I want you to trust me as well. There is something you're hiding to me regarding both of us, and I truly want to know about that."
"Jinhee-ah, I can say the same thing about you. The deal between you and Taeho, and us— there are some secrets you're keeping from me. I don't exactly feel pleasant about it," Taehyun vocalised, "I hope you could tell me about all of it."
Lee Jinhee took in a deep breath. Both of them had things that they were hiding from each other, and in order to begin a healthy relationship, maybe it was better for both of them to let each other know about it.
"After I am done with one thing, I will let you know about it. That one thing might take me a month or two, but after that, I promise to tell you about it.
About all of my secrets, why I avoided you in the beginning, why I rejected you— everything, I'll tell you about it, so give me time. In return, I want to know everything about you," Jinhee vocalised.
Maybe it was the time for Jinhee to let someone know about all of this, and the first person she wanted to know about this matter was Han Taehyun.
Taehyun nodded and said, "That sounds fair enough. Meanwhile, I will mentally prepare myself to let you know about my big secret."
Jinhee chuckled, and that's when, her eyes fell on the clock, causing her eyes to widen. She could say bye to her small nap after being done with get dressed and having breakfast.
Nonetheless, she did not regret it.
"I better get dressed now," Jinhee said.
"Do that," Taehyun vocalised, "And then come down. It's better to have the breakfast with the family."
Scrunching up her nose towards Han Taehyun, Jinhee questioned, "Are you trying to make fun of me? What do you mean by having breakfast wirh the family is better after clearly knowing how that family of mine is?"
Han Taehyun merely laughed at Lee Jinhee's words and said, "I was just teasing you, but I am sure your Grandfather Dowon would like to have breakfast with you."
Jinhee sighed and said, "He would indeed. Fine, for him, I would bear those irritating members of my family, whom I desperately want to strangle."
Taehyun extended his hand towards Jinhee and rubbed his palm on her head. He then vocalised, "I'll try to make that dream of your come true."
To that, Jinhee immediately shook her head and said, "I don't want to do that and go to jail."
Taehyun winked and stated, "Your husband won't let that happen, so you can strangle and threaten whomever you like."
"My husband? Last time I checked, I recalled that I was completely single," Lee Jinhee said.
No matter what, Jinhee could not imagine herself being completely sweet to Taehyun. After all that happened, she found that way too awkward.
"Future husband and husband now? What's the difference between that? Now, stop pointing out irrelevant matters, and get to the washroom," Taehyun vocalised.
Getting up, a sigh left Jinhee's mouth. As she walked towards the direction of the washroom's door, she suddenly stopped.
Turning back, she smirked towards him and said, "Being my husband is way harder than getting me to confess to you."
After sticking her tongue out towards Han Taehyun, she turned her back towards him and rushed into the washroom. Watching her back, the smile on Taehyun's face grew wider.
"Yes, Jinhee-ah, make it as hard as you can! I never hated challenges," Taehyun shouted.
