"I was so nervous, but did I do alright?" Jinhee questioned once they have moved to somewhere else.
Jinkyung stood rooted to her place whilst her eyes stared at the couple in front of her. Han Taeho and Lee Jinhee— the thought of that was enough to make her encouraged.
Although Jinkyung did not want to believe Jinhee's words from earlier for Han Taeho was loyal to her, Jinkyung found them making sense to her. After all, if Taeho wanted to, he could have prevented those information from leaking out.
However, he did not do so, and this just made her be doubtful about the entire thing. If he had a change of heart, things will be getting really difficult for her, especially now when she has almost no one at her side.
Han Taeho was her last hope, and she should do everything she can to keep him by her side. Otherwise, it will be a complete game over for her.
Jinkyung shook her head. She firmly believe that Taeho was on her side, and it would be extremely difficult for anyone to change her mind. After all, she had clearly seen how devoted he has been to her, and he might have some other intention behind it.
Although everyone was shooting her dirty stares, Lee Jinkyung was not affected by all of them. After all, she had Han Taeho's heart with her, and that solely made her superior to those present here.
They were merely jealous of how Taeho doted on her, and that was Jinhee's case as well. Just because Taehyun's heart belonged to her, Jinhee was trying to fill her head with nonsense.
Jinkyung was determined to not let herself be swayed by all of that, and holding her head high, she began to walk towards the couple. She was not the third party; Taeho's heart belonged to her, so it was Jinhee who was the other woman.
Han Taeho nodded his head and vocalised, "Yes, you did everything pretty much perfectly. Now, all I need to do is convince her. But I do not believe that is needed, considering how she blindly trusts me."
Jinhee nodded, and that is when something caught her eyes. Lee Jinkyung was walking towards their directly, and a low sigh left her mouth. It seemed that Jinkyung was either an idiot or did not notice about how other people were gossiping about her.
Everyone around them was gossiping on how Jinkyung was trying to come in between of the relationship of Taeho and Jinhee yet she held her head high as she walked towards them.
Jinkyung was truly really confident, but that confidence of hers will result in her downfall. If Jinkyung would have kept a low profile, she would not have met with demise.
"Was there anything you needed?" Jinhee questioned once Jinkyung had stopped in front of her.
A soft smile sat on Jinhee's face, and Jinkyung forced out a smiling expression upon her face. Jinkyung was determined to not let anything break her composure. Regardless of what Jinhee was doing, Jinkyung was not going to lose to her.
Jinkyung had to show Taeho her charms to make him more mesmerised with her, and recalling about all those times Jinkyung had insulted Jinhee in the past, Jinkyung knew that she could do it if she showed her full potential.
"Jinhee-ah, I hope it would not bother you if I hang around with you two. You know that due to some circ.u.mstances, people do not exactly like me, and although my father had greatly wronged you, I hope you can allow me to be beside you," Jinkyung vocalised.
Wearing a smiling expression, Jinhee nodded and said, "Sure, I have no problem with as long as you do not create any trouble. After all, we are supposed to be the centre of the attention; This is not a ball held for us."
What irritated Jinkyung greatly was how Jinhee did not feel threatened despite of her presence here, and this made her feel as if Jinhee was truly underestimating Jinkyung. Nonetheless, Jinkyung was determined to prove that would a big mistake done by Jinhee.
"Thank you, Jinhee. You are truly great! I promise that I will be on the best of the behaviour," Jinkyung voiced out whilst she emitted innocence off of her.
Instead of standing beside Han Taeho, Jinkyung made sure to stand beside Jinhee for that would create a trouble for her, and Jinkyung held on to Jinhee's hand.
Due to Jinkyung's actions, Jinhee felt embarrassment fill her, and she was very close to hitting the back of Jinkyung's head. It was quite unnecessary to hold her hand at this moment, and this was attracting more eyes than Jinhee preferred.
"I will just go and try out some pastries, Jinkyung. Meanwhile, you can talk to Taeho," Jinhee said as she pulled her hand away from Jinkyung.
Lee Jinhee had an inkling that once she was out of the picture, Jinkyung will try to go for Taeho, and Jinkyung will be easily caught by the public eyes. From Jinhee's point of view, Jinkyung did not seem to be that smart to prevent making those mistakes.
Jinkyung nodded her head and said, "Enjoy the pastries, Jinhee."
'You said you wanted to be beside me, but now, you are sending me off to the pastries on my own. It would be foolish of you to think that the people here did not notice that.'
Deciding against commenting on that, Jinhee nodded and said, "Please do not go after something that does not belong to you. I really detest that behaviour within people, and I am sure you know that."
Jinkyung wanted to retort with how Taeho belonged to her. Nonetheless, she was aware of the fact how that would not be appropriate at be this moment. Therefore, she could only maintain a smiling expression towards Jinhee.
Turning her back on Jinkyung, Jinhee started to walk away as a small smirk sat on top of her face.
