Feeling someone hug her from behind, Jinhee raised her head and saw a familiar face. Han Taehyun flashed a wide smile towards her.
"Han Taehyun," she enunciated.
Unwrapping his hands around Jinhee, he walked to stand beside her, and while picking up her cup from the table, he vocalised, "I was just gone for a month yet you have become so dull and skinny in that short period of time. What happened?"
As he drank down the contents in the cup, Jinhee voiced out, "Hey! I wanted to drink that!"
After he finished drinking the tea, he placed the cup down on the table, and extending his hand towards Jinhee, he pinched her nose softly.
He then vocalized, "Don't pout over tea. I have come from far to see you after a long time, you owe me more than a tea."
Then, sitting beside Jinhee, he looked towards her and questioned, "So, what happened during the time I was gone?"
"Sitting this close to each other would not be appropriate for us, Taehyun," Jinhee voiced out, "I had enough trouble because of you. Get lost!"
"Geez! I thought you were sick, but hearing your voice makes me think the opposite. It definitely must be that Jaehyun who was making you bored. That's why, you looked dull—"
Upon hearing those words of Taehyun, Jinhee planted her fist against his chest and vocalised, "Shut up, Han Taehyun, or I will personally kick you out of this room!"
Taehyun said, "During the time I was gone, you really did not become more ladylike. You should learn to control that temper of yours and become more gentle. Men will run away when they see you."
"Jaehyun does not agree to that," Jinhee spoke out, "Ask him, and he will let you know about how polite I can be. It is merely you who ruins everything."
"That Jaehyun is dull, and that's why you are dull around him. I am fun, and thus, you are more spirited around me," Taehyun stated.
"No, you annoy me to the point that I want to kill you. There was a serious conversation going on in here before you decided to interrupt us," Jinhee voiced out, "It would be kind of you to leave us at this moment."
Ignoring those words from Jinhee, Taehyun raised his head to look at Jaehyun and questioned, "What new dramas occurred after I was gone?"
"Jinhee was about to be married off to Kim Hyunjae, and other than that, Jinkyung tortured her greatly. I just rescued her from near death the day before yesterday," Jaehyun vocalised.
Those words of Kim Jaehyun caused a grim expression to form on Taehyun's face, and turning her head, Jinhee looked towards Taehyun. She noticed how his jaw clenched tightly.
Seeing him being this worried about her touched her heart, and even though she would not vocally admit it, she was starting to grow feelings for Taehyun regardless of how eccentric and annoying he was.
At times, she hoped that she would have fallen for Jaehyun, who seemed to be a better candidate in her opinion, and she was aware that Jaehyun was doing all this because of his feelings towards her. This just made her feel more and more guilty as a result.
"It seems that I haven't taught that Jinkyung enough lessons the last time around. This time I will teach her properly on how to not mess with someone that is mine," Taehyun exclaimed— his voice holding anger.
"Who is yours?" she mumbled.
Lee Jinhee sighed and voiced out, "Thank you for your worries both of you; I really appreciate it. But with my status, this is the best for me. Please do not get into my problems. I don't want either of you to do that."
"This can't go this way," Taehyun vocalised, "Since Kim Jaehyun has proven himself to be incapable of taking care of you, I will be taking you over to my country. If you disagree, I have no problems with kidnapping you."
"I can't do that, Han Taehyun. You are reading the bigger part of picture. Jaehyun, you will be able to protect me, but what about you? You are risking so many relationship with this, and please don't be too arrogant about this.
Thank you; I am really grateful to you for your help, but I can't accept it. Same goes for your feelings as well, Jaehyun. I am not worthy of them," Jinhee vocalised, "I will be always rooting for you, and I know that you have the ambitions to make this a better country. For that, put in your all. I will always be there for you as your friend."
Holding her shoulders, Han Taehyun turned Jinhee towards him and said, "What about me then? Accept me. I convinced my parents, and there is no rule of taking in concubines in my country. So, you will be the only one for me, and my parents are really loving."
Arching her eyebrows, she stated, "I am afraid that if I accept this offer of yours, you will be bullying me the entire time. I don't fancy getting bullied."
Han Taehyun scoffed and spoke out, "That is not bullying! That is clearly my love towards. Now, that—"
Before Han Taehyun could continued further, Jaehyun interrupted him by saying, "Jinhee, that is a good decision. Move with him to his place. Taehyun is most definitely a better option in my opinion.
As much as I want to be with you, it is not safe here. Jinkyung might be defeated, but other than her, there is a long list of psychopaths who will be coming for you. Just because of my selfishness, I do not want to endanger your life. I will come to take you back when I strong enough; I promise you that."
Extending his hand towards her, Han Taehyun pulled Jinhee into a hug, and while directing a glare towards Jaehyun, he said, "I am afraid you will be unable to steal away her from me. Jinhee belongs to me, and by then, we will be welcoming you with our lovely kids."
