Chapter 667: Let's ride my daughter together—
"Found her."
Charles opened his eyes and slowly placed the helmet on the instrument table. "Little rogue is at the train station a few kilometers to the west. She should be on the platform by now."
"Time is of the essence, let's move quickly."
Hearing this, Logan immediately turned and started walking out.
"Wait a moment, Logan."
But Charles suddenly stopped him. "This matter involves Magneto. You're no match for him, so let Cyclops and Storm handle it."
"Who? Magneto?"
Logan frowned upon hearing this and then turned to look at Charles.
"Listen, that kid left because of me," Logan said firmly, staring directly into Charles' eyes. "So, bringing her back isn't for you... understand?"
"I understand, Logan, but you are indeed no match for him."
Charles continued to persuade, "Magneto can control metal through magnetism, and your medical report yesterday showed your body is full of a special alloy. I don't know what exactly happened to you, but clearly, you cannot defeat Magneto."
"So what?"
Logan shook his head indifferently and then pointed to Fang Mo beside him. "At least Jesus is on our side, right?"
"..."
Charles instantly felt a headache.
In truth, his claim that Logan was no match for Magneto was just an excuse.
His real intention was to keep Fang Mo out of it.
As the world's most powerful telepath, Charles could read many minds, but Fang Mo's was a notable exception.
This was because, when Charles was younger, Fang Mo nearly killed him with a wooden stick. Even though he could read anyone's mind, he dared not peek into Fang Mo's memory again, knowing full well that his aging bones couldn't withstand another blow from Fang Mo.
If it were someone else, Charles wouldn't mind not reading their minds.
But Fang Mo was different—he was shrouded in too many mysteries and possessed terrifying abilities. Decades ago, he could already overpower an Omega-level mutant like Sebastian. Who knew how much stronger he had become since then?
In Charles' view, Fang Mo was far more dangerous than a nuclear bomb.
Whether human or mutant, anyone who provoked him wouldn't escape easily. If someone dared to ignite his wrath, he would surely explode.
Charles understood this.
So, he was determined not to provoke Fang Mo.
But the issue lay with Magneto. His old adversary might not share this caution.
Years ago, Magneto tried to recruit Fang Mo, but Fang Mo's arrogant response drove him away. Charles couldn't be sure Magneto wouldn't try again.
The conflict between mutants and humans had persisted for over half a century.
During this time, many mutants had perished, including Hellfire Club elders like Azazel, and even Magneto's own family.
Charles worried about this.
Magneto had changed; he was more extreme and reckless. If he managed to recruit Fang Mo and humans provoked Fang Mo... it would spell disaster.
"Let's do this."
Charles' face was almost twisted with worry. "Logan, go to the train station with Storm and Cyclops to find the kid. Fang Mo, you stay here."
"What?"
Fang Mo raised his eyebrows. "You dare to separate me from my wolf uncle?"
"No, I..."
Charles felt another headache and rubbed his temples. Even Storm looked surprised. In her memory, Professor X was always kind, gentle, and composed, but now he seemed tormented by one person.
"Oh, right."
"Give it a rest!" Logan said with a dark face, "I told you this isn't the time for jokes!"
"I'm not joking!"
Fang Mo, with his immense strength, instantly broke free from Logan. He then dragged Logan along without a word, "You don't believe me, right? Fine, today we'll ride my dau..."
"Shit! Shut up!"
Logan interrupted almost immediately.
However, it wasn't long before Fang Mo forcibly dragged him to his guest room.
With a thought, the door automatically opened, and soon a small figure flew into his arms. Fang Mo caught and hugged her.
"Let me introduce, this is my daughter, Xiao Momo."
Fang Mo ruffled his daughter's hair and introduced them to each other, "Momo, this is your Uncle Wolf. You can call him Logan. Oh wait, you're the junior here, you should be respectful to your elders. Hmm... let's go with Mr. Lo."
"Hello, Mr. Lo."
Xiao Momo obediently greeted.
"So?" Fang Mo smiled at Logan proudly, clearly showing off, "How about my daughter?"
"Amazing, simply amazing."
Logan was on the verge of losing his sanity from Fang Mo's torment. Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he said, "But I must remind you, she had better really be your daughter... Otherwise, I don't want to see tomorrow's news saying that Jesus's mother was executed by the FBI for practicing alchemy in New York City."
"Don't worry, she's not human; human laws don't protect her," Fang Mo replied with a nonchalant smile. "Besides, you already called me Jesus. Do you think I would be afraid of having one more eye on me?"
"You..."
"By the way, Momo, where's Ah Xue?" Fang Mo stopped paying attention to Logan and instead looked around the guest room but didn't see his little maid. So he simply looked down and asked his daughter.
"She went out to buy groceries," Momo answered in her childish voice.
"Oh, I see." Fang Mo nodded, then stopped bickering with Logan since he knew there were more pressing matters. He looked down at Momo and asked, "Can you still take off?"
"Take off?" Momo tilted her head and thought for a moment. Soon, a large bump appeared on her back, followed by a pair of massive, inverted triangle-shaped dragon wings.
After growing the wings, Momo looked up at Fang Mo with a questioning expression.
"That's about right," Fang Mo nodded and then asked again, "But you need to fully transform back, like when Auntie Yoruichi turned into a cat. Can you do that?"
Since Momo turned into a human after consuming the feminization core, Fang Mo wasn't entirely sure of her current state. After all, the feminization core was quite odd. The pig god maintained a feminized appearance after consuming it, but Momo seemed different, so Fang Mo asked again.
"No problem, Mom," Momo simply nodded.
"Alright, let's go..."
"Woof!" Just as Fang Mo was about to leave, a dog's bark rang out. Fang Mo turned to see that the little dog had somehow joined them, clearly intending to come along, even carrying a baseball bat on its back as a weapon.
"You want to come too?" Fang Mo glanced at the little runt and then walked out, "Fine, follow along then."
Soon, Fang Mo led the bewildered Logan to the playground. He tossed Momo onto the ground, and she was quickly enveloped in an eerie purple light. A dragon's roar echoed as a majestic black and purple dragon replaced her petite human form.
"Holy crap!" Logan was startled.
In fact, not only Logan but the other mutant children on the playground were also stunned, their attention fully drawn.
"See, I told you my daughter is amazing," Fang Mo said proudly, then climbed onto the dragon's back. "What are you waiting for? Hurry up and get on."
Logan knew there was no time to waste. Despite holding back a flood of questions, he quickly climbed on, even grabbing the little runt by the scruff of its neck and tossing it onto the dragon's back.
"Alright, Momo," Fang Mo patted the dragon's neck and pointed in a direction, "Fly that way at full speed."
"Roar~!" The dragon happily responded, flapping its wings.
With a gust of wind, the enormous dragon transformed into a streak of purple, disappearing into the horizon, leaving a trail of deafening sonic booms.
