Chapter 26: Two Questions

Chapter 26: Two Questions

"How could that be? I thought the prince don't have a child? He's not even married!" The Archer was uttering perplexed.

"John, The woman you took me away from is the Prince's wife, we need to go back."

John thought for a while, he looked at his son, then the remaining villagers, hesitating; then sighed. "OK Chief, we can't let Prince Lucian's Son die in that Village, come on everyone!!"

The villagers helped the Chief up, and they slowly walked back to the village.

"I'm confused about something, how can such a small kid link with all of us?"

"He might be a kid, but he has the brain of an adult." The chief smiled at him.

After half and hour, the villagers finally got to the Village, they were all dumbfounded seeing the familiar but yet unfamiliar village in front of them, The once Wooden fence has been replaced by 5 meters high walls, and even a metal gate was placed.

"Is this the Village? I think we're lost."

"Yes, when we escape, The Village was burning to the ground; then how did this...?"

"I don't know."

"Is this the work of the prince?" John asked, turning to Chief Egon.

"We can only find out once we enter." Chief Egon answered with a small smile.

The huge double metal gate slowly opened, coming to view was Aaron, Aurora and Lilly, who stood in front of them.

The Villagers numbering 35 slowly walked inside, The ground was spotless, not a single sigh of battle, bloodstains or even ash, if they haven't known better; they would have thought nothing happened here.

"Stop." Aaron waves his hand, the next moment; a 1-meter-high fire wall surrounded all the villagers.

"Cough! What are you doing, My Prince?" Chief Egon asked in mild surprised.

"In time of battle, You guys ran away from the Village, leaving my Mum and sis defenseless. What do you think will be your punishment?"

"Punishment?"

"What is the little prince saying?"

Chief Egon sighed. "I'm sorry for that my Prince, but we tried... The Queen refused to leave, same with the princess... Seeing I was injured, they moved me away from here; leaving them behind... We're deeply sorry for that." He tried to kneel down, but the injury on his chest said otherwise.

"Yes, Aaron. We were the ones who choose to stay." Aurora said, seeing the chief's condition.

The chief was always good to them and took care of them for the past one year, so she felt guilty seeing the injury on him.

Vince nodded: "I want to first apologize to you, I'm not a traitor and will never betray you. From today onwards, My Bow will be at your command." He bowed at Aaron.

Aaron nodded in satisfaction and pat his shoulder. "Good, stand at my right."

Vince nodded and stepped aside.

Aaron asked all the villagers, asking them to stay either in his right or left.

"Stand at my left."

That was the last villager he asked, Aaron sighed and turned around to the 25 villagers on his right, and 10 on his left.

"Why would you guys want to betray me? Some of you are even traitors." He massaged his temple with a tired expression.

"What are you saying, Kid?!"

"Yes! You are just spewing nonsense."

"Yes! Do you think being the Son of the late prince, give you the right to insult us?"

"Yes!"

Aaron sighed, and said to them. "Each of you should leave this village, I'll only count to 10."

Hearing Aaron, the 10 villagers turned to the Chief and John.

"Are you going to let this kid act all high and mighty?!"

"We are the owners of this village, why should we leave?"

"1..."

Chief Egon sighed deeply. "The prince said you all are traitors, and will betray him in the future... I'll just have to believe him."

"3..."

"Yes, You guys should be asking for forgiveness, instead you are all yelling at the prince. So... I can't help you." John said.

"6..."

Ten spinning dark energy balls appeared behind Aaron.

"7..."
