“You know that hair. It really doesn’t go well with you.”
“What?”
Ye-Hyeon asked loudly in embarrassment.
At the same time, Baek Hae-Won, who was approaching Kwon Joo-Ho and Shin Do-Gyeom, burst into laughter.
When Ye-Hyeon looked at him resentfully, Baek Hae-Won sneaked away from his gaze with his usual gentle smile.
“Ugh. Yoon Seung-Jae!”
Yoon Seung-Jae suddenly reached out and ruffles Ye-Hyeon’s head.
The straight-back hair lost its strength and flowed down.
“Look, it’s much better to get off. Right?”
Yoon Seung-Jae shrugged his shoulders while looking at the other party.
“You had your hair down when I first saw you.”
“That’s…”
It was right after Ye-Hyeon returned, so he just didn’t have the mind to get his hair done.
Ye-Hyeon looked at these people’s reactions.
Kwon Joo-Ho stared at Ye-Hyeon and blinked.
Even if Kwon Joo-Ho ignored him, he constantly talked to him and learned one thing. If he doesn’t avoid his eyes when he meet them, it’s positive, and if he turn his eyes, it’s negative.
[system] ‘Target 3: Shin Do-Gyeom’s affection increased by 1 point.
In the Status Window that suddenly popped up, Ye-Hyeon reflexively looked at Shin Do-Gyeom.
Shin Do-Gyeom had a cold expression that did not match the contents of the Status Window at all.
“Well, it’s not unacceptable.”
“I didn’t ask you.”
“I didn’t say it to you either.”
When even Shin Do-Gyeom agreed with Yoon Seung-Jae, Ye-Hyeon felt like he was pulling his back.
‘You mean you couldn’t let it go? Then why did your affection level go up so far?’ Ye-Hyeon thought.
“Doesn’t it look ugly?” Ye-Hyeon just opened his mouth because he was upset.
Ye-Hyeon’s bangs were raised since he worked as a supporter.
It was because Ye-Hyeon wanted to look a year older because he was so disadvantaged by his young appearance.
Whether it suits Ye-Hyeon or not, was not a big deal.
After regression, there was no particular reason to raise it, but it became a habit.
Still, Ye-Hyeon was a little embarrassed because it looked quite weird to him.
“…really?”
Ye-Hyeon grabbed the last hope and asked Baek Hae-Won.
“Hmm… It looks better on you when you put it down. Still, it’s not bad to let it up.”
Baek Hae-Won added comfort with an awkward smile.
Ye-Hyeon turned around and reflected on the lake.
“Eyes, nose, even the lips are the same…”
Ye-Hyeon honestly don’t know what’s so different between putting his hair down and putting it up.
In any case, there was no harm in being seen well by the targets.
However, it hurt his pride to put his hair down.
Ye-Hyeon swept up his hair again, but the wet hair was not properly fixed and flowed down halfway.
Ye-Hyeon tried a couple more times and gave up neatly.
Yoon Seung-Jae carefully examined Ye-Hyeon’s hair as if he were a judge and arranged the hair.
Then, he nodded as if it was a passing, although he didn’t like it very much.
“Stop looking at me.”
Ye-Hyeon tilted his upper body back to avoid touching and turned his head to the opposite side of Yoon Seung-Jae.
“You’re not sulking, are you?” ”
“Me? No?”
Ye-Hyeon refuted him with his eyes wide.
Yoon Seung-Jae giggled as he fell in a more intense reaction than ever before.
Ye-Hyeon was a little upset when he was teased by a much younger guy.
Ye-Hyeon breathed heavily.
‘If you fall, you lose. Don’t fall for the provocation,’ Ye-Hyeon repeated to himself, leaving Yoon Seung-Jae alone.
When Ye-Hyeon decided to ignore Yoon Seung-Jae, Kwon Joo-Ho was there this time.
Kwon Joo-Ho has been staring at Ye-Hyeon for a while.
Ye-Hyeon thought he was unhappy because he didn’t want to see his roughly trimmed hair.
‘Then what are you going to do? ‘ he thought.
The angry Ye-Hyeon returned the stare without avoiding the blatant gaze.
Ye-Hyeon felt like his personality was pouting as he kept being hit by people who said they didn’t like it.
“Shall we go?” Baek Hae-Won led the party without giving in to the usual subtle atmosphere.
“Gareuk.”
“Gareuk. Gareuk.”
“Gareuk.”
Shortly thereafter, a low cry was heard in the distance.
The great feature of frog tongues is that they exchange resonance with each other when they feel a presence, so there is no risk of being attacked by surprise.
“Gareuk. Gareuk.”
“Three in the front!”
Yoon Seung-Jae shouted, and one of them jumped high in the bushes.
Frog tongue with turquoise skin and yellow spots, almost the size of a bull, was able to reach 10 meters.
A round shadow appeared in the place where Seung-Jae was standing.
Seung-Jae stepped back and a few seconds later, the frog tongue landed.
If it is laid on a bulging boat, it will be crushed flat without a moment to use its hands.
Fortunately, it was not difficult to predict the landing location because of its slow movement.
“Gareuk!”
“Gareuk. Gareuk.”
The frog tongues that remained behind raised their heads.
The two inflated their wet cheeks to the fullest and shot off their long tongues.
One flew toward Yoon Seung-Jae and the other toward Shin Do-Gyeom.
“Ugh!” Yoon Seung-Jae shouted and jumped at the monster who came close to him.
Three pairs of round eyes turned to Yoon Seung-Jae.
Do-Gyeom quickly moved to the side and fired an arrow. He aimed at his hindlegs to prevent it from jumping but it only graze it’s skin. He lost his power after avoiding the attack just now.
The frog spewed slippery mucus from all over his body, making a clumsy attack.
Yoon Seung-Jae and Shin Do-Gyeom avoided each other in different directions, widening the distance.
“Keep the line!”
Yoon Seung-Jae glanced behind Baek Hae-Won’s cry.
Shin Do-Gyeom hid in the back and aimed at a guy with only his tongue flying.
The frog tongue, who was confronting Yoon Seung-Jae, ignored Yoon Seung-Jae’s hitting him with a shield and slowly hit his tongue toward Kwon Joo-Ho.
Kwon Joo-Ho avoided the Frog’s attack by a narrow margin by only turning his upper body after checking while Shin Do-Gyeom was aiming.
It was so close that Ye-Hyeon, who was watching from afar, breathed in vain.
It is easy to predict because the attack is simple and straight, but it was dangerous just to brush by because each shot was powerful.
It was an act that could not be attempted unless a person have a strong heart.
Kwon Joo-Ho swung his sword before the Frog pulled his tongue back.
It was not completely cut off, but there was a deep scar on the tongue.
“Gareuk”
Injured, the Frog tongue struck the floor alternately with his front legs, perhaps angry.
The huge body waddled from side to side.
“Yah!” Yoon Seung-Jae pushed the Frog tongue’s left front leg with a shield and quickly fell back.
Kwon Joo-Ho jumped at the losing balance and raised the sword high.
It was unbelievably fast, but this was no moving skill.
In the meantime, Shin Do-Gyeom hit both eyes of the monsters that were left behind.
Then, the last one jumped toward Kwon Joo-Ho.
Ye-Hyeon slowly stepped back to secure a safe distance but did not take his eyes off the battlefield.
Ye-Hyeon knows each of the party members’ conditions as he did when he was a supporter, but during the battle, there was nothing Ye-Hyeon could do but just watch from afar.
“Am I useless?”
Ye-Hyeon rubbed his chin and narrowed his forehead.
Without any foreshadowing, the flame that bloomed in the air burst because it could not burn the frog tongue that was heading to Yoon Seung-Jae’s side.
“Don’t let your guard down until the end!”
Baek Hae-Won came forward and blocked it if it was dangerous even if it would result to a small wound, so even after the battle, it was rare for a healer, Ye-Hyeon, to be needed.
Ye-Hyeon felt a little ashamed because he felt like a spectator.
‘But I think we’re getting along well now!’he thought.
“Get out of the way!” As soon as Ye-Hyeon thought so, Shin Do-Gyeom shouted in an irritated voice.
However, Kwon Joo-Ho ran to Frog tongue, who was hiding in the bushes, and put a sword on the top of its head.
“Gareuk…” the last Frog fell with a weak cry.
“Didn’t you hear me?”
Shin Do-Gyeom aggressively pushed Kwon Joo-Ho’s shoulder, which cause his sword to be dropped.
“You know I’m aiming, so what’s the point of running?”
“Anyone who can handle it first should handle it…”
“If you didn’t interrupt, I would have got it.”
Shin Do-Gyeom cut off Kwon Joo-Ho and fired back.
Shin Do-Gyeom looked at Kwon Joo-Ho calmly, although he seemed like he would hit him right away.
“I judge what I’m going to attack.” Kwon Joo-Ho calmly refuted, although Ye-Hyeon thought he‘d just listen silently.
“Don’t disturb me. Next time, I won’t let it slide and just let my arrow fly.”
Shin Do-Gyeom stared at Kwon Joo-Ho fiercely and spat out the word as if he was chewing it.
The content was nothing short of half a threat.
Ye-Hyeon touched his forehead in an increasingly overheated atmosphere.
As they managed to get along, the backlash when their hands and feet crossed became stronger.
“Hunter Baek Hae-Won, what should I do?”
“Well,” Baek Hae-Won closed his eyes, smiled, and shrugged.
It was a light attitude that felt somewhat irresponsible.
“You have to fight for reconciliation.”
“Isn’t it better to fight than to pretend nothin is happening when we don’t get along?”
“It’s better to fight?”
It was an incomprehensible answer for Ye-Hyeon.
“But we can’t leave it like this, right?”
Baek Hae-Won smiled and intervened between Kwon Joo-Ho and Shin Do-Gyeom.
“Now, shall we stop these? We are going to the boss room soon, so cheer up a little more.”
Baek Hae-Won acted calmly as if nothing happened even standing in the middle of the two people who faced each other harshly.
It was a little different from being brazen.
It was a relaxation that resulted from the confidence that the situation could be induced in any direction.
Kwon Joo-Ho and Shin Do-Gyeom seemed to have something to say, but they followed Baek Hae-Won’s words.
The ferocious air quickly dampened the mood.
‘So without Baek Hae-Won, I have to play that role, right?’ Ye-Hyeon, who was imagining for a while, sighed deeply.
Ye-Hyeon was not confident that he could do well like Baek Hae-Won.
