Chapter 207: Chapter 207 - Regina's small story

"Tch, it's not fun at all," Drishti backed away, seeing no hint of embarrassment on the young man's face. His direct initiative to attack her with her own medicine didn't sit well with her.

"What did you talk about with that Devil?" Ryuk inquired, retreating from the disappointed face of Drishti. Her parted lips let out a warm breath as she sighed in loss.

"Not much... " Drishti passed by him, the subtle flutter of her hair leaving behind a trace of soft aroma lingering in the air. She approached Regina and instructed, "The next location will be Jade Dominion. Prepare for it."

'....' Hearing the familiar name of the continent, a subtle coldness filled Ryuk's face. His hands came out of his pockets before he inquired, "Lady Drishti, why that place?"

Ryuk's intent was clearly about the relation between him and that place, linked through Jenny (the slave girl). A few years ago, due to her, he had encountered someone from that place infiltrating his rooms and attacking his soul.

At that time, he was scammed by the system into losing his Kill points even though it was his own ability that protected him.

But above all else, Bella and Lin Feng—the host of the Neolith Harem System, was also present there.

"Heh, don't you want to meet someone special there?" Drishti tilted her head and glanced back at the young man, a small smile adorning her lips. Finding that coldness on his face, which had acted straightforward moments ago, was satisfying.

"And who might that be?" Ryuk's eyes were fixed on Drishti. In the moonlight, her face seemed to hold an otherworldly allure, yet that smile only increased his distrust about what might be going on inside her brain.

"Of course, the woman you met in Heindal," Drishti revealed, showing her awareness of the attack that had occurred on a small five-year-old child some years ago within the grounds of the Selvius kingdom.

'Why would that woman come to Ardoros?' Ryuk did not believe for a moment that Drishti herself had been observing him that day.

He already knew how moody she was, and the likelihood of her keeping an eye on a five-year-old child possessing nothing special compared to the wonders of the world was zero.

He was sure she must have learned about the woman's attack when she arrived in Ardoros, after the system cut off the soul projection link.

The question remained: what did that woman do after arriving in Ardoros and why acted so lowkey for so long?

"Did the Devereaux family order her not to go back to Heindal?" he inquired again while breaking the flow of their conversation. Aware that Drishti would catch onto his intent, his gaze remained steady on the woman in front of him. She stood in a black silky dress, her delicate fingers entangled together just above her abdomen.

Silence~

Silence filled the place, with all of them standing in their respective places, Ryuk's eyes fixed on the woman who was unexpectedly poking at him when he wanted answers.

Not that this went unnoticed by Regina, whose hands swiftly moved towards her sword hilt, slowly drawing her sword as she added firmly, with a killing intent passing through her eyes, "My Liege, give me command, and I will get an answer from her."

'...not you too.' Hearing Regina's words, filled with a clear intent for the truth, unwavering even after knowing the sword she just unsheathed would be aimed at the slightly overpowered woman, he felt lost.

Ryuk noticed Drishti's expression towards Regina's such declaration, to see if they had crossed a line.

Technically, due to Drishti's easy-going behavior, he always seemed to forget how she was able to kill all of the individuals present here within less than 15 seconds.

Of course, Ryuk had placed aside Devereaux Bloodline Drawback since the woman who herself had purity over 99, how could not she be aware of all the loopholes in that drawback.

But he only noticed a side eye from Drishti causing him to become curious with another question in his mind, Ryuk inquired seeing their bonding this closer "Lady Drishti, did you kidnaped Regina from Sword Valley?"

His question may seem out of context, but their inclination until now hasn't been very repulsive, considering how no one else had the guts to casually draw their sword at Drishti except him and Regina and come out unscathed.

Simply put, Drishti was easygoing because everyone was like ants in front of her, and she paid no heed to ants' opinions.

'....huh' Only one thought crossed his mind seeing both of their reaction to his question as Regina sheathing back her sword, moving towards a rock and seating there with Drishti's face forming a proud smile revealing that indeed she had somewhat found an interesting child and brought her in Ardoros after getting permission of her master who didn't have any opinion to begin with.

"Really? And who might another one be?" He inquired after somewhat getting that deep feeling from within which kept suggesting that Drishti had definitely kidnapped someone else too.

Exactly, this whole series of question came from the fact that if Drishti knew about Ryuk then she might have not left him in Heindal and it was true for other children who showed something interesting to her, So who are those special cases here?

"I didn't kidnap anyone," Drishti shook her head, but she felt a sharp gaze from Regina, trying to convey her feelings about how Drishti should finally tell the truth about fighting the master of Sword Valley to obtain her precious disciple, simply because the girl possessed something interesting.

Ignoring Regina, Drishti continued with a visibly genuine expression, noticing how Ryuk also didn't believe her one bit. "No, her Master sent Regina to train under me, and she was very happy to do so. As for another one, his name was Damien. Right now, he is a Flagbearer under Veronica Devereaux."
