Vol. 1 - Ch. 50 - Taizu's Long Fist

Just as Chen Xingzhen was about to inquire about the changes in the Divine Tree, a flash of light suddenly flickered from the branches above Ji Yang. The light was fleeting, but it caused Chen Xingzhen to pause.

Before he could react, a wave of new memories suddenly flooded his mind.

As Chen Xingzhen carefully processed these additional memories, his eyes grew brighter with realization.

"This... this is a high-level Yellow-tier martial technique!" Chen Xingzhen exclaimed, his face filled with joy.

His excitement was understandable. According to the elders of his clan, during the family's peak, such martial techniques were not rare, and there were even more powerful ones.

But those were the glory days; Chen Xingzhen had only heard about them but had never seen them firsthand.

Now, with the family's decline, they didn't even have any ordinary Yellow-tier techniques, let alone high-level ones.

One could imagine the current state of the Chen family's fortunes. So, receiving this martial technique in his mind made him ecstatic.

With this technique, the family's strength was bound to rise, especially for the warriors in the Blood Coagulation Realm.

Possessing such a martial technique would be like adding wings to a tiger, significantly boosting their power.

Originally, Chen Xingzhen had intended to inquire about the state of the Divine Tree, but now it seemed unnecessary. The Divine Tree was in good shape!

After a quick prayer, Chen Xingzhen hurriedly left the Ancestral Hall. He needed to record this martial technique immediately and pass it on to the warriors in his family to increase their strength.

Since the Divine Tree had imparted this technique to him, it must have had this intention in mind.

Indeed, Ji Yang did have this intention; otherwise, he wouldn't have chosen to pass it on to Chen Xingzhen.

Taizu's Long Fist: A high-level martial art of the Yellow Tier (can be passed on once).

As Ji Yang looked at the remaining count, he pondered who should receive the last transmission.

Although Chen Xingzhen had already understood Taizu's Long Fist martial technique and could transcribe it for other clan members to learn, Ji Yang's transmission was somewhat extraordinary.

Martial techniques aren't something that can be mastered overnight; they require personal understanding, practice in real combat, and finally integration of knowledge to unleash their full potential.

This process isn't short.

For the gifted, it might take only a few days to begin.

For the less gifted, it might take months. For higher-level martial techniques, it takes even longer.

Ji Yang's transmission effectively skipped the first step of learning, directly infusing the basic knowledge into their minds, allowing them to understand it on their own and thus achieve rapid mastery.

However, to gain a deeper understanding of the martial art, one must still make personal efforts and hone their skills through continuous real-life combat.

Still, this could save a considerable amount of time for some warriors in the family.

Unfortunately, Ji Yang could only impart a martial art three times. After much deliberation, he decided not to continue the transmission just yet.

He wanted to see if there were other family members with remarkable talents who might be more deserving.

...

"Taizu's Long Fist?"

Inside his room, Chen Qingyu closed his eyes, feeling the newly acquired knowledge settle in his mind. The sudden influx of memories had nearly caused him to fall off the wall earlier.

But after a moment of focus, he opened his eyes, a bright light flashing through his calm pupils.

Martial arts! A high-level Yellow-tier martial technique!

He had long desired to learn a martial technique, and he hadn't expected to gain such a harvest in the Ancestral Hall today.

Chen Qingyu was deeply puzzled about the origin of the martial technique in his mind.

Aside from the Divine Tree, who else could possess such power?

Silently, he explored the operational techniques of Taizu's Long Fist.

As he circulated the martial technique, the Qi and Blood in his body began to flow through his meridians. Quickly, the Qi and Blood gathered in his palms through special channels. However, he was unable to release them just yet.

The next moment, Chen Qingyu transformed his palm into a fist. When he punched out, the Qi and Blood burst forth violently.

Boom!

A powerful surge of Qi and Blood erupted from his hand, followed by a loud explosion. The door of his room shattered instantly.

"What happened?" sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ ɴ0velFɪre.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of nøvels early and in the highest quality.

"What's going on?"

"It seems to be coming from Brother Qingyu's room! Let's hurry and check it out!"

The loud noise quickly attracted many patrolling clan members.

"It's nothing, I just accidentally broke the door while practicing," Chen Qingyu explained.

The clan members who rushed over sighed in relief. With the family war only days away, they were still on edge, fearing an attack.

After seeing the aftermath of Chen Qingyu's punch, several of them exclaimed in amazement:

"What kind of strength does Brother Qingyu have?"

"He's so strong! When will I be able to reach Brother Qingyu's realm?"

After a round of admiration, they quickly made rough repairs to the damaged door and continued their patrol.

Once they left, Chen Qingyu silently looked at his fists, a trace of astonishment in his eyes.

He had only used fifty percent of his Qi and Blood power for that strike, yet it had produced the force that normally required seventy percent.

The extra twenty percent was the improvement brought by the martial technique. Now, if he used one hundred percent of his Qi and Blood with Taizu's Long Fist, he would be far stronger than before.

Moreover, Chen Qingyu could sense that his martial arts skills were still at the beginner's level.

The punch he had thrown lacked full control, causing his Qi and Blood to scatter excessively, which led to the destruction of the door.

If I could concentrate all of my Qi and Blood into a single point without any waste, then I would truly be on the path to mastering the Taizu Long Fist, he thought.

In actual combat, the Taizu Long Fist had even more variations. Just thinking about these possibilities made Chen Qingyu's eyes shine even brighter.

Is this what martial arts truly feel like? It's even stronger than I imagined!

However, a frown soon creased his brow. Such a powerful martial skill shouldn't belong to him alone---it should be shared with the entire clan.

If all the warriors learned the Taizu Long Fist, their collective strength would be greatly enhanced.

Since the clan leader was already resting, Chen Qingyu decided to wait until early morning to discuss the matter.

After learning the martial art, Chen Qingyu had no intention of sleeping. Instead, he continued to silently practice, striving to master the skill as quickly as possible.

In the Ancestral Hall, Ji Yang's consciousness had spread out, and Chen Qingyu's residence was not far from the hall.

Even though his roots had not yet reached Chen Qingyu's room, Ji Yang was aware of what had just happened.

Having fully integrated the martial arts skill himself, Ji Yang observed the punch that Chen Qingyu had thrown and felt quite satisfied.

Even though Chen Qingyu had just learned the skill, his talent was evident. With time, this child would surely become a shining light for the clan.

It seems that in addition to developing the clan, I must also focus on cultivating this talent, Ji Yang thought.
