We kept defeating the dungeon's monsters and Domain Guardians, making us descend into the deeper floors faster. My sister and I were not the only ones who fought the monsters; Aesfen and Alandra physically participated in the conquest as well.
In our conquest, we had defeated the Level 200 Black Slime, the Level 300 Basilisk, a reptilian monster with a petrifying gaze, but it was not powerful enough to solidify any part of our bodies, and the Level 400 Gargoyle. That was our progress so far.
Currently, we were on the 50th Floor, and we were about to fight the 50th Floor Domain Guardian of this dungeon. The Domain Guardian of this floor was apparently a Vermin Kaiser.
Vermin Kaisers were actually the evolved form of insect or bug monsters, like what was a Behemoth to some mammal monsters. Specifically, the one in front of us was a Level 500 Vermin Kaiser Queen Evil Tarantula.
It appeared like that of a true tarantula, and its size was big, around ten feet in height, but this was what their average size was. Its body was hairy and black with red and yellow accents on its abdomen.
It had eight red eyes and huge and pointy fangs, which were currently dripping off its venom. A tarantula was already scary, but an arachnid as large as a truck was an absolute nightmare.
However, what surprised me was that when I laid my eyes on the sleeping gigantic arachnid in this room, I discovered something lackluster about the monster. Unlike the 50th Domain Guardian of the Raevender Dungeon, this one did not possess a Unique Skill.
Apparently, according to Akashvani, only dungeons with a hundred floors had monsters with unique and ultra skills. It was a feature exclusive to dungeons of that size.
Well, since I did not actually reach the 50th Floor of the Imperial Dungeon, I just overlooked that little detail and immediately assumed that all 50th Floor Domain Guardians had unique skills, which was not actually true at all.
If the 50th Floor Domain Guardian indeed had a unique skill, they would immediately be the most powerful monster in the dungeon. So what would be the point of having a dungeon boss if it was not the most powerful challenge?
Nevertheless, whether this monster had a unique skill or whatsoever, we still had to deal with it if we wanted to continue our progress.
"Well then, who wants to fight it?"
"Hmm? You don't want to, Raphael?" My sister looked at me, baffled. "Knowing that you have something you want from this kind of monster, that is strange of you to slide it."
"It actually doesn't have the thing I am looking for, so I'll pass this time."
"Really?"
In a blink of an eye, the spider jumped toward my sister at a frightening speed. It bared its fangs to Big Sis, but she was unfazed and remained calm.
"Too slow."
Clink!
At the right moment, Big Sis slashed her blade and parried the spider's venomous fangs. The momentum of the collision generated a sharp sound in the room and knocked the spider back.
The Vermin Kaiser bounced on its back on the floor once, but it quickly recovered itself and landed safely with its eight legs. As soon as it landed, it raised four of its front limbs and waved it altogether. Then, Steel Threads came out of its legs, and the spider whipped them to my sister.
The threads were thin but dangerously sharp and durable. A single one of them was enough to constrict even a Behemoth. Once the threads were wrapping around anybody, all they had to do was stop struggling, or less they would become the spider's fun-sized snack.
But my sister was not just anybody else. With just a single revolution of her sword, she caught all the threads and tangled them around her blade. My sister had put the Vermin Kaiser on the leash.
Before the spider was about to cut the wires in order to free itself from her dominance, my sister stopped it from doing so by giving it a shock, literally.
"Electrocution."
Zap!
Upon casting a Level 5 Lightning Magic spell, lightning discharged from my sister's body and slittered through the black metallic threads. After that, smoke began to emit from the spider's body, and then it collapsed like a stringless marionette.
My sister just burned the Vermin Kaiser from the inside. She was probably thinking about its exoskeletons, so she wanted to keep it in good condition.
"Good job, Sister."
"Let's proceed to the next floor."
"As determined as always, huh?"
After storing the spider's carcass in my Inventory, we all descended to the 51st Floor.
