Chapter 734 Fly Away

Chapter 734 Fly Away "You want to come with me back to the other planet?" Ning asked the slime.

The slime was clearly contemplating its words as its face was scrunched up in thoughts and didn't even look towards Ning at all.

When it was finally done thinking, it looked around the field towards the many beasts that were working, as per its orders.

"The beasts have treated me well. Great even. I love them very much and do care for them a lot. However, they don't give me what I want. Intelligent conversations."

"They are intelligent in their own right, but their servitude towards me stops them from being overly familiar and speaking their minds around me, even if they were intelligent enough."

"As far as I know, the only beasts intelligent enough to properly converse are usually too high ranked and too pompous to try and talk with seemingly weaker beasts like me," the slime said.

Ning understood what the slime was saying to a certain extent. It was bad enough to be alone, but when you did find a company, and you didn't even get to talk with the other person, it just sucked.

"If only I knew the humans were actual humans with actual lives. I would have tried to talk to them," the slime sighed. "Alas, I thought they were something my system created out of nothing and didn't even engage with them."

"So are you certain?" Ning asked again. "Do you really want to leave?"

The slime sighed and nodded. "Yes, I do want to leave. Please go back to the planet and summon me. I will accept any sort of deal you have for me," the beast said.

Ning looked at the slime with a weird grin on his face. He then turned towards the beasts that were out in the open and asked.

"What about those beasts? Do you not want to bring them back with you?" Ning asked.

"I… what?" the slime turned toward Ning. "How can I bring them back with me? Can I summon beasts that I have already bonded with?"

"No, that's not possible," Ning said. "But I wasn't suggesting you to summon them over there. Rather, I am not even going to you there myself."

"Ho-how?" the slime asked.

"We are going to fly there," Ning said. "Easy, right?"

"Fly?" the slime turned to look at the sky. "How will we breathe?"

"We're not going to fly just like this of course. We are going to use a spaceship," Ning said. "You ever rode on a spaceship before?"

"Spaceships? Ships that sail in space? I've never even heard of one before, let alone experienced it," the slime said.

"How advanced was your world?" Ning asked. "What was the latest discovery that was surprising everyone?"

"Latest discovery… let's see," the slime thought. "Oh right, there was this one guy that used some sort of glass to put lightning through and create light that would shine even at night."

"Oh, you only just created a bulb huh? That's not as advanced as I had assumed your world to be," Ning said. "Although, the planet we are going to go to is even less developed than that."

"Well, as long as the humans are smart enough, I don't really mind if they haven't even created the wheel yet," the slime said.

Ning nodded. "So, to reiterate, I have a spaceship that I will fly you back to that planet. However, I can't fit way too many beasts in there," he said.

"How many?" the slime asked.

"About 200 at most. That too will cram the spaceship quite a bit," he said.

"What about the rest? I will have to leave behind nearly 1500, won't I?" the slime asked.

Ning shrugged. "I'm sorry. I don't have much cho—" he paused. "Stupid!" he called himself. "I'm so goddamn stupid."

"Huh? What's going on?" the slime asked.

"Nothing, sorry. Just one of the times when my brain stops working," Ning said. "Anyway. You don't have to worry about choosing only 200, we can bring all the beasts back with us."

"We can? Okay, that's good. But is your spaceship big enough to fit them all? I thought you said it was only about 200 beasts that could fit here," the slime asked.

"Yes, it still can only fit 200 beasts. That hasn't changed. What I realized is that we can just do multiple trips," Ning said.

"Huh? Multiple trips? You can do that? I thought this other planet was far away, right? Didn't you say it was on the other side of the sun?" the slime asked.

"Yes, don't worry about that. I have a way to fix that. Go tell your beasts to get ready. We'll be leaving in just a few minutes. Meanwhile, I think I have a job to do," Ning said.

The slime nodded and gathered the many beasts that it had managed to tame and started explaining things that were happening to them.

"I am going to leave with that man to a new world. I don't know how well this world treats beasts like us, but I can promise you I will take care of you."

"Still, those of you who want to stay behind, I will allow it. Choose," the slime said.

The many beasts turned to look at each other, and almost unanimously shouted that they wanted to join the slime on his adventure to a new world.

While the slime was busy gathering his beasts, Ning was busy gathering all the wood that the beasts had cut up until now, including the half-built houses.

Ning decided to let the houses that were already built continue to be. It took him about 15 minutes to roam the entire cleared forest, looking for logs and woods that he would have to use to build houses for these beasts later on the other planet.

Once everything was ready, Ning arrived next to the slime and saw the first 200 beasts it had separated to take back.

"This is it?" Ning asked while looking at the beasts. He realized that most of these beasts were weaker beasts and children of the beasts.

A few of them were strong, but most of them were the bad batch of his group, clearly.

"I'm starting with the weaker ones. I don't know how long it will take, but I can't leave them here in case another beast comes in the meantime and attacks them," the slime said. "Sabron here will keep the rest of my people safe while I am away."

Ning turned to look at the blue lizard the slime had pointed to and was a bit surprised to see that it was a Rank 7 beast. There were actually 4 different ranks 7 beasts, but the lizard was most likely the strongest one of them.

"Alright, let's get them on board then," Ning said as he gestured to the open area and suddenly a massive spaceship appeared out of nowhere.

The smooth, silver ship with many metallic arms coming out from the lower section surprised the slime.

"That's a spaceship?" the slime was in full-on awe. It had probably never seen this much metal in one place. Not even in forgeries back in his home world.

A door appeared at the bottom of the ship that opened up to form stairs that led to the ship.

Ning stood by the door as the many beasts slowly approached under their master's command.

Those that had legs or could fly easily climbed into the spaceship, while those that crawled or weren't big enough to climb were aided by Ning's telekinesis to get in.

After all the 200 beasts had entered the ship, Ning started checking on them to make sure they weren't cramped or were going to places they weren't supposed to go to.

"Do not touch anything here," Ning told the beasts in a language that he didn't even know he was speaking.

The beasts were surprised to hear him speak their language and acknowledged his suggestion.

They would not touch anything unless they were told to.

Ning went to the front of the ship and make sure everything was okay and that it wasn't too heavy to fly.

The system stats didn't show any problem at all, so he turned to the slime and said, "it's ready to go. You can tell your beasts to wait for a while. It should be quick, but still," Ning said.

The slime quickly got out of the spaceship and explained the situation to the beasts who easily agreed to wait for the slime to come back.

With all their 4 great generals still with them, the beasts weren't worried much. Besides, they knew how much their master cared for them.

"Alright, get ready. I have never done this before, so it might end up being a bumpy ride," Ning said.

"What? You've never done this before?" the slime suddenly turned toward Ning.

"Nah," Ning said with a smile. "That's where the fun part comes from though."

"Dear God save me," the slime softly spoke to itself.

Ning looked over the dashboard and started tapping on things to get the ship going.

He hit a button and the thrusters on the 14 different arms simultaneously activated to slowly tilt the spaceship upwards.

At the same time, an artificial gravity system was activated to keep the people inside from sliding down.

The frozen hydrogen in the fuel chamber slowly started to thaw and turn back to gas, which the nuclear drive forced to go through nuclear fusion, creating a lot of heat and energy that was used to power the main thrusters at the back of the spaceship.

Once enough energy was produced, the spaceship lift off.
