Now, the second floor.
The first floor of this dungeon was a plain like area, that just continued straight ahead. The second floor however, was more forest like with trees growing here and there. But much like the first floor the path was straight so it wasn’t possible to get lost.
“We’ve arrived at the second floor, please be aware that from here the monster’s will be different. So be careful.”
Mrs. Philis cautioned us about the monster’s but I was well aware of what appeared on this floor and thus couldn’t understand why caution would be necessary.
“What kind of monsters are there here?”
That was Hannah, I had assumed that everyone would know.
“On the second floor, the hornless horned rabbit appears.”
Wait, isn’t that just a rabbit then?
Just because it’s a tutorial doesn’t mean that nothing should have any attack power!
“Isnt it just a rabbit at that point?”
“Baha!”
Hannah actually said it! I was trying to keep myself together but when she said that I couldn’t help it and I laughed.
“Hmm, it’s fine if you think about it that way. It will drop meat.”
Mrs. Philis admitted it! It’s 100% just a rabbit! Which is all well and good but I didn’t miss the nuance in her words. Free meat!!!
“Alright Hannah! Let’s gather a bunch of meat!”
“Alright!”
I walked ahead searching for the delicious meat, when my [intuition] skill went off. It seems like something dangerous is coming.
“I see!”
Surprise attack from the side, a rabbit jumped at me and I guarded with the shield on my left arm.
Goooo~ng, it slammed its head directly into the shield.
“Kyu”
The rabbit fell to the ground unmoving, it seems like it completely knocked itself out. Is it really OK to kill it like this?
“Uuuh, Mrs. Philis? A rabbit jumped out….. I can kill it right?”
I’m in class after all, the best action here is to ask the teacher and make her responsible for it.
“Yeah, my recommendation is to out the meat in a stew.”
I got permission to kill it! Sorry bunny, but you’re going to be dinner. A quick sword slash scattered the rabbit into little particles of light and meat dropped. For some reason it was packaged?
“We got meat!”
I raised the meat above my head and shouted. The tension just went up! Even Hannah came over envious of my meat.
[T/N: heh]
“I want some…..”
“I’m sure you’ll get some soon! But these monsters do actually attack so be careful ok?”
“U-hm I think I’ll be ok.”
Yeah, the rabbits were only about 20cm in length after all. You shouldn’t take any damage if you get hit as they’re just to small so, I understand Hannah’s point of view.
“This is practice so, you should thing of it as preparation for the real thing.”
“Ah, you’re right. Thanks Zephyrus.”
Hannah seemed like she was so used to monsters now that she thought she couldn’t get hurt. Although the rabbit that attacked her after this was blown away in utter defeat so, I probably was worried about nothing.
The second floor was a bit longer than the first and there were more monsters that appeared as well. All in all we got 28 pieces of meat.
Our levels also went up to lvl 7. With the added sp I raised [intuition] up to level 5 while Hannah raised [compounding] to level 2.
And now the 3rd and 4th floors.
