The arena is a place where guilds compete for honor and fame under the public’s eye. It’s also a chance for people to showcase what they learned at the school and how they make use of it.

People from outside the school can come watch as well. So the arena also acts as a place where students are scouted. Whether it be for a job with a company, an officer or any other job. That’s how the game got its name, the arena is where you hunt for jobs in the outside world.

By the way the number of endings for the game were almost as innumerable as the jobs. Anywhere from doing nothing with your life and wasting away to being a hero and clearing the most difficult of dungeons. There was even an ending where you marry a princess and become king.

When you think about all of the endings possible it makes my 8000 hours almost understandable. But in the end I was only able to see 50 separate endings. Of course videos of the other endings have all been uploaded to the internet so I’ve actually seen all of them. Either way I’m excited to see my first real guild battle.

“I’m glad we were able to get a decent seat.”

“Yeah, the broadcast camera will rotate as well so we’ll be able to see what’s going on further away as well.”

As expected the arena was extremely crowded, although it sort of makes sense when you think about who’s participating.

Ciara was after me when we bought tickets so she sat next to me. The seating order was Ester, Rana, Hannah, me, and Ciara. Hannah was nervous being seated next to Rana, she still seems to have not gotten used to being around her yet.

We bought the tickets from the Guilds treasury, it’s collected from each member. Personally I donated a million Mir bringing my balance down to 2.84 million.

“It looks like it will be a 30 person battle this time competing in a castle attack style match.”

“You know about that huh. ”

I’m collecting information with my student notebook in one hand. Naturally there isn’t much that I don’t know, I’m just collecting information on the differences between real life and the game.

“Can you tell me about it? I’ve never seen a guild battle.”

Hmm, it’s a good thing to learn, if you don’t know about it then you’re missing out on half the game.

“I’ll explain.”

“Thanks.”

As I was pulling up information to explain to Ciara I noticed I was being watched from the other side.

“Hmm?”

“Hey, Zephyrus. I don’t know anything about it either.”

“Could you explain to us as well?”

“Could you teach me?”

“Everyone?”

I shook my head and then cleared my throat.

“Ok, a guild battle occurs when a lower ranking guild challenges a higher ranking guild. It’s sort of like a rank battle if the lower ranking guild wins they trade rankings with the upper guild. If the upper guild wins then they defend their position and the rankings don’t change.”

“But those that are challenged are at a disadvantage. You don’t get anything and the day will come when you do eventually lose.”

Ranas opinion is justified.

“There is a rule that you can only challenge the same guild once a month. If you lose you can’t challenge again for another month.”

“I see.”

“Guild battles are only available from rank C and are a necessary part of raising your ranking. There are many forms of battles but this particular one is castle attack.”

“Is there battles where fighting is not the main aspect?”

“Correct, there is also something like a production battle. However it’s not as exciting as the combat ones. ”

I’ll omit the explanation of that for Joe.

“Castle attack is basically a competition where the guilds compete to see who can drop a castles hp to 0 the fastest. Basically it’s a time based attack where each team earns points for speed, etc.”
