It’s good to belong to a high ranking guild, but if you don’t have enough skill you’ll be subject to [dismissal]. In guild battles your rank can fall, so if a B rank guild that can hold 50 members falls to C rank which can only hold 30 members, those with the lowest skill are dismissed first.

I’ve had this tragedy strike many times when I was playing the game. Although one of the founding members of the guild and a character I put a lot of effort into was dismissed when we lost a guild battle. Although you can create a lower ranking guild until the original guilds level goes back up, then rejoin and disband the other guild.

Although in real life when dismissing a person the guild has to submit the reason for dismissal to the school. Unless it’s directly caused by the outcome of a guild battle. However if your dismissed for another reason, joining another guild becomes extremely difficult as most guilds don’t want to accept someone that they may have to go through a lot of effort to dismiss.

I thought that because of this reason Kahlua might be hesitant to join but…

“I want to join.”

“Well in that case, welcome to Eden.”

“Thank you.”

When I accepted her into the guild her ears were twitching cheerfully. It’s a big decision but I’m going to make her stronger.

“Alright, now to get you a strong job. Its already night now but do you have time to come with me?”

“? Sure?”

Kahlua and I left the restaurant after she gorged herself on 6 bowls of curry. We were heading to my room in the aristocratic dorms to play slimepop, Sierra’s alchemy set and bracelet was still there.

When entering the dorms I saw the dorm mother.

“Good evening dorm mother.”

“Good evening Zephyrus.”

“I’m actually going to be holding a study session again, can I have permission to take her up to my room?”

The aristocratic dorm mother is a very nice lady, she’s graduated the academy 10 years ago but came back to work here when her late husband passed away. She was quite youthful and an aristocrat herself so sometimes the boys in the dorm made passes at her but they were all turned down. However she let Hannah enter and leave my room freely and didn’t treat commoners any differently.

When I asked to bring Kahlua up to my room the dorm mother looked over at her and.

“A new one!?”

“I’m Kahlua, nice to meet you.”

For some reason I felt that the nuance of what the dorm mother said was strange but it’s probably just how she is.

“Is that ok? I’m not an aristocrat but I just want to use my room and the dragon statue room.”

“Just the two of you? You seem to be very, enthusiastic, about studying. Hehehe, of course I’ll allow it, good luck Zephyrus.”

I feel like my intentions may have been misunderstood but it’s late already so we should do this quickly.

“So, is there a specific job you want?”

For a cat person there are seven different jobs all centered around combat with 3 different specialties, magic, speed, and attack. I of course know the requirements for all of them.

“I want to become a [starcat] but no matter how much I run it never appears.”

“A speed type? Yeah running isn’t enough.”

Kahlua chose a speed type job, certainly one of the requirements is run 200km in a week but that’s not the only condition.

“Ok I’m going to tell you how to get [starcat], but don’t tell anyone what I’m about to tell you.”

“Ok, I swear to keep this secret even if I die.”

“I mean… you don’t have to go that far, you can give a hint…”

I gave hints to the researchers, so I don’t want her to keep it completely secret. I just want the people of this world to work and figuring it out themselves as well.

Then with Kahluas consent I began to lecture her on how to make [starcat] appear.
