"We won!"

"We won!"

"Fi-finally, we did it!"

"Finally... "

We all let out our customary victory shouts. Umm, somehow Hannah's line and mine overlapped. I gotta use a fresh line next time!

"Fufu. What was that? Does Zephyr and others do this every time?"

"Sort of, it's refreshing to yell after a hard fought victory."

"Oh, I think I get that feeling. The boss was really strong."

The rare boss <Fat Ball Special> was as strong as a beginner-high grade dungeon and is a remarkably strong opponent for Rika and Karua.

After all, both of them are only at Lv24. So they aren't yet at the level to contend with a rare boss for now.

Or so I thought, but they turned out to be hidden gems in reality. I still vividly recall the scene of Rika almost blocking the boss's main body with a flawless parry.

The person, who initially gave me an unreliable feeling because she decided to join our guild just because of a plushie, actually turned out to be an absurdly talented girl. I really want to give a thumbs up to my past self for scouting her.

"I couldn't stand up to my role much."

"Fret not Karua, it's just because the boss this time had a bad affinity with you. Besides, you have already shown your excellent capabilities while fighting against battle wolves. And you also helped in dealing with pipsqueaks"

If Karua possessed even a single attribute equipment, I'm sure she would have shown her brilliance. I can easily imagine Karua hunting down pipsqueaks with super fast movements. After all, her agility is already as high as 200, so those pipsqueaks should be nothing more than fat chicken waiting to be slaughtered in her eyes.

Despite knowing that her attack might not even put a scratch, Rika did her best.

I have looked at her fighting from time to time and she has hunted at least some tiny ghosts which are hard to deal with using normal attacks. Most of the time, it was Lana and Hannah who missed their target, so it's also an indispensable position to deal with missed enemies.

"Hey Zephyr-kun! Let's open the treasure chests!"

"You're right. I can hope for some gold content given its a rare boss we took down."

"Hnn, let's go."

I confirm the drops at Hannah's voice. 2 silver chests.

A minimum guarantee huh, a letdown~.

Oh well, probably because we got a gold chest as a rare boss drop last time. I sighed as I looked at the fan in Hannah's hand.

"Let's check out the reward f一一"

"Yay, let's go."

Fast. I didn't even finish my words before Hannah and Lana raised their hands and yelled excitedly.

Although we got silver chests, it's from a rare boss. So I share the same sentiment that rewards are guaranteed to have good things. I also want to open it.

Kuhh, I was late!

"Hnn, what?"

"Is this some kind of event?"

Seems like rearguard is still clueless since I couldn't finish my words earlier. Forgive me, guys, for we have many treasure chest addicts in our party.

Somehow, I felt like I just saw the illusion of Sierra lamenting and distressed Ester, must be my imagination.

"We are discussing who will open these treasure chests."

Lana explains in unusually grim expression. Even Hannah repeatedly nodded next to her, looking serious.

By the way, I'm also on their side.

"I, I see. Well, I’m not that curious about them so if there is anyone who wants to open them, please do, you don't need to ask for my consent."

"That's unacceptable, Rika. One of the rules in Eden advocates the fairness of treasure chests. Any kind of unfairness is prohibited."

Huh, was there ever such a rule in our guild that not even I, the guild master, knows? Since when has it become an established fact?

"Hnn, I want to try opening one."

"That's the spirit! I know Karua will understand the charm of treasure chests!"

Lana shows a joyful look when Karua raises her hand slightly.

"Well, that's the case. Rika don't need to hold back and it's fine if you want to open them"

"I really am not holding myself though...... Ohh, I remember there's a saying "When in foreign land, do as the natives do". Then I guess I will follow the rule of Eden."

"Incidentally, they also drop high quality stuffed toys like Sachineko-sama sometimes."

"IT WOULD BE MY HONOUR TO OPEN THEM!!"

Good, now that everyone is motivated, let's decide upon who will open them. And the result of fair judgment, we decided on letting Rika and Karua open them on the basis that it's the first time they have encountered rare boss drops.

"It's your first ever rare boss drop! So don't forget to pray seriously to Sachineko-sama for the chance of drawing a memorable drop!"

"Karua-chan, you should pray before opening the treasure chest. It would be awful if you forgot to."

"Hnn, I will pray seriously."

Lana and Hannah were imparting etiquette (?) for opening the chest.

Eden hasn't embarked on a strange route, right?

"Then , I will go first."

I wonder where the reserved Rika until a while ago went. The top batter this time was her.

She prays for something seriously in front of the treasure chest and opens it.

"This is... "

"A-ahaha. It's a short dagger <Ice Me> with ice attributes."

<Ice Me : Attack Power 20, Ice Attribute>. It's a lovely dagger painted in transparent ice blue color from the grip section to the sheath.

Is this the fate, I wonder, the attribute equipment they have been wishing for for so long actually dropped here. It was a bit anticlimax.

Well, it's a normal thing in the <Dungeon Activity>. The long wished drop would appear at the timing when they are no longer needed. As if possessed by the <Youkai : Desire Sensor>, Youkai's are scary.

Rika was obviously dejected but Karua's eyes were shining. The dagger ultimately went under her possession.

"Thank you, Rika. I will use it carefully."

"Ahem. Well, it's fine then. You’re welcome."

The next is Karua's turn.

Karua, who was looking at the <Ice Me> with glittering eyes but quickly prayed to Sachineko-sama as taught by Lana and Hannah.

"Please Sachineko-sama, drop something for the sake of Rika too."

Rika quickly averted her eyes when she heard Karua's resolute prayer. I glanced at her and she was blushing till the root of her ear.

Karua wishing for a nice drop for Rika to show her gratitude for the dagger, somehow, I feel like my heart has been purified.

Although my heart by no means is contaminated with filth, I am feeling particularly refreshed.

"Hnn, I'm opening it now."

Karua finished praying and opened the treasure chest.

"Hnn. Something fluffy, a furball?"

"S, so big"

The drop she pulled out from the chest was a big white and fluffy furball. Even Hannah unconsciously muttered out looking at it.

"Ohh~, it's a rare material called <Fluffy Furball> × 10 pieces. It's extremely rare for them to drop.”

After all, it's the sole missed item in the rare boss drop that's lined up with the lowest probability to drop.

Though, it doesn't look rare from any angle.

Because, it only gave chicken feed defense in the name of benefits even after turning it into equipment or accessory by <Tailor>. Then one might think about using it to make clothes but at the labyrinth academy, it's in school regulation to wear the academy's designated uniform fundamentally, so there's almost zero chance of wearing them.

In that case, it can at most be used as an interior item. It's a ridiculously missed item for the players who dive into the dungeon day and night. Well, of course, it seldomly drops so you don't need to pay much attention to it. Simply sell if it drops.

However, from the perspective that Karua's prayer just now reached Sachineko-sama, it should be like a jackpot for her.

"Zephyr?"

"Ohh. It's an excellent item for a plushie. Not verified but I think <Mochikko> plushie is also made of same furball"

"Really?"

"Yeah. All right, I will ask Mari-senpai to make it into a plushie."

"Yay! I'm looking forward to it."

Karua looked at Rika, who was still blushing, with a smile when she heard my confirmation. She seldomly shows such expressions.

Seems like stuffed toys are going to increase once again in the guild room. I wonder if it's about time to purchase a rack to decorate them?
