"<Elemental Arrow>!"
"<Straight Punch>!"
"<Charm Sword>!"
"Guoohhh....... hhhh... hh…"
The HP of the <Alligator Lizard>, who was under the down effect, was quickly reduced to 0 after everyone attacked, pierced its body and disappeared.
This was their 4th battle already and they have become quite accustomed to the boss fights.
When I had revealed the <Official Hidden Tactics - Boss Grind> and boss’ re-pop, Lulu and Celia's eyes were shining as bright as day. This was quite a novel feeling, I was precisely aiming for this reaction!
Anyway, we could have finished our business here when Lulu and Celia level had already reached Lv15 after a round but I wanted them to train the new tactic based on their job uniqueness and thus, now we're here, accompanying them in their training.
"You have become much better at this, no?"
"Yeah! I was slightly scared in the beginning. But with Celia protecting me, I'm not scared anymore!"
"Yes. I was perplexed and wondered what was going through your mind when you said to let such a young child play the role of tank in the beginning, but her HP and skills are amazing."
"Celia should be slightly more taciturn."
Well, it's not like I didn't understand what Celia is trying to say. Though I would have wanted to remain oblivious, if possible.
Certainly, the scene of Lulu being exposed to so many attacks was bad for the heart.
However, with her passive skill of fall prevention or knock back from <A Hero Must Be Calm>, she's almost unmoved by the attacks. So she can just continue to attack as if she didn't receive any damage even if surrounded by enemies in a sandbag like situation as long as she familiarizes herself and not to say, it looks cool. (Damage is sustained steadily, though.)
Playing as if attacks can't perturb you at all is the romance of every adventurous spirit. Like, stopping the blow with one hand. Just imagining it makes my blood boil.
I really want to try it once.
By the way, the defense skill <Single Handed Hero> actually exists in the 2nd order tree. But I feel like my illusion will be destroyed if Lulu's right hand could do it. (Wrong)
Another thing according to Lulu, is although it's quite scary to receive the attacks, it doesn't cause any pain or shock in <A Hero Must Be Calm> mode.
And of course, damage is all shouldered by the HP's hence there's no case of accumulating injuries. It's impossible to see someone shout reflexively from pain in this mode. Skills are amazing.
Incidentally, Celia furthermore strengthened Lulu's defense by lending her <Ice spirit> which increases the <VIT> from her spirit borrowing skill <Elemental Lease>.
The fist-sized snowman looking <Ice Spirit> seems to have taken a liking to Lulu's shoulder. It's soothing to see it.
And that's how, Celia, who was initially hurling hateful glares at me, has now become captive of Hero Lulu's cuteness. Lulu is becoming more and more of a splendid hero. I'm quite looking forward to the time where she will unlock all of Lv40 skills.
"Now that you guys have familiarized yourself with the method, shall we go now? My goal is to raise everyone's level to 25 before the day ends.”
“It's final then, we will return temporarily to have lunch before beginning our boss grind in the beginner-mid grade dungeon."
"No objection!"
"Lulu doesn't mind too."
And thus, our next target was decided to be a goblin hunt in the beginner-mid grade <Grassland Dungeon> in the afternoon.
After lunch, we arrived at the last floor of the <Grassland Dungeon>.
We practiced our coordination on the way but the goblins were so weak they didn't help much in training. We gave up on them and made our way to the boss room without further ado.
"We will also join for a few rounds until you guys have reached Lv20 and have acquired a new <Skill> or <Magic> with the accumulated SP, try to defeat the boss with just the three of you."
"Roger!"
"Understood."
The difficulty level takes a sudden spike from the beginner-mid grade dungeon and onwards. Low level dungeons are configured so that you can win even with solo but beginner-mid grade dungeons at least need you to be in parties.
Normally, you can challenge the mid grade dungeon with a party of 3~5 members. Karua and Rika had cleared it just with the two of them but that's an exception. Rika's parry is just so broken, after all.
I was hella surprised when I learned via Celestine that they accidentally challenged <Night Goblin> and actually won while we were busy in our exploration and nearing our E-rank promotion exam.
Well, I'm sure these three can easily win even if not at Lv20, just that it’ll take time. So it's much faster for us to help them with their power level.
"<Night Goblin>, huh...... my arms are itching to attack."
Why do I feel a sense of intimidation from Celestine's smile? Did she and boss have any kind of feud?
Either way, the battle with <Night Goblin> begins. This time, I was acting as the tank.
"<Appeal>!"
"Gobugobu!"
"Gobubu!"
First, I attracted 4 goblins at my side and left them to Lulu, Celestine and Celia. Ester is waiting on the side between. It would be overkill and the waste of MP to let her join.
"<Charm Sword>!"
Lulu unleashes her slashing skill added with down debuff. This skill makes the target a captive of their charm, which leaves them incapable of using their full power.
"<Spirit Summoning>! <Elemental Arrow>!"
The rearguard Celia invokes the skill <Spirit Summoning>, the job <Spiritualist> is famous for.
This time she has summoned <Fire Spirit>. Unlike the snowman looking <Ice Spirit>, <Fire Spirit> is humanoid in appearance. A chibi spirit with raging flame as hair. Incidentally, this spirit is male.
A fire arrow was fired from the fire spirit as Celia used a low rank magic, elemental arrow, following after the summoning.
The attribute of a <Spiritualist> attack mainly depends on the type of spirit they have summoned. It would be a fire arrow if it's <Fire spirit> and a lightning arrow if it's <Lightning spirit>.
The fighting style of <Spiritualist> differs from the usual magician etc since they have to first cast <Spirit Summoning> but to be honest, this is more strong in my opinion than a magician since you can save SP through this.
As an example, a <Spiritualist> can fire low level magic at Lv10 with all 6 elements just by using 10SP on a low level magic <Arrow>. It's strong. The spirit, once summoned, will continue to exist until they are repatriated. Of course, there's a limit to how many spirits can be summoned at a time and the starting limit is only 2.
"<Straight Punch>!"
Meanwhile, Celestine throws her usual full body punch. It directly sunk into the face of the goblin, taking it down. All three have frequently used their skills and magic, so they look quite proficient in them.
It didn't take much time for them to take down goblins while I was in charge of fending off the attacks. And finally, the <Night Goblin> was forced to move.
At the same time Ester also makes her move. Seeing her fighting spirit, I guess she wants to show her cool side to Lulu. Though We are at best supportive, I just hope she doesn't forget it but......
"I'm going! <Long Thrust>! <Triple Shot>! <Flash Stab>!"
"Gobu!?"
"Huh?"
An unexpected scene occurred.
<Night Goblin> HP gauge was swiftly brought down to 0 and it vanished under the effect instantly receiving the not so serious attack of Ester.
Unfortunately, all the attacks were critical hits. The boss didn't even have the chance to react before it was finished beautifully under down effect and stun. This phenomenon occurs occasionally when a vast level difference is present.
It happened because Ester is too strong......
Everyone seems to freeze for a moment. The first one to break the silence was Lulu.
"The symbol... "
I didn't even notice since when she was holding a badge in her hands. However, her voice sounds more melancholic than delighted.
"That's too much Ester. Look at Lulu, how dejected she is now!"
"P, please forgive me! Lulu, that, err, uug, awawa"
Ester bowed facing the anger of Celia. She's way too flustered. Honestly, it's quite rare for Ester to make a blunder.
"Let's do it again. And Ester, remember to control your powers."
"Geeez! Ester Onee-san is too strong!"
"Y, yesu! I diligently train myself!"
In response to Lulu's anger explosion, Ester stood stiffly as if petrified.
The scene was slightly funny to say. For safety's sake, I didn't say it aloud.
After the repeated <Night Goblin> fight.
I wondered what was going to happen but the problem was easily solved.
Tap Tap Tap
Lulu dashed under Ester.
"How can I become as strong as Ester Onee-san?"
"Eh, Errr…"
"Ester, do your best to teach her. You're one of <Eden>’s top attackers, right?"
"Y, yes. To become strong is一一"
The situation didn't turn for the worse as Lulu went to Ester to ask the secret behind her power. I can even see their relationship seems to have become better than before due to this.
After rain comes the fine weather. Good for you, Ester.
However, calling Ester Onee-san? Could it be that Lulu's criteria is based on height?
