Chapter 71: Chapter 71 – A week later
A week passed by and Feng came to a conclusion that they all were villains, including Elle and the twins. In Clarina’s perspective, of anyone was not friends were either a cannon fodders or stepping stones for her to develop her relationship.
There was that guy Hibi who was never a part of that game, so that would only mean that he was a cannon fodder. Even so, that guy was powerful enough to cause a lot of trouble for them.
But contrary to her expectation, he did not act against them.
A week of silence and peace.
But the peace did not last longer. Her break day came and all of them as a family went out to the deck to play around.
Feng silently bit her lips. “How long until we can get off this ship?” she whispered to lady Hiliana who was basking in the sun.
“It will take us another month to reach our destination, dear. Why are you sea sick? I can ask the maids to get you some tonic.”
.....
“No, no it just feels constricted.” She glanced at the upper decks with a look of worry. As of now, they had not told lady Hiliana about it. She made Elle promise that she won’t tell her.
If they did, it would only cause problems for lady Hiliana. It is good to depend on someone but throwing all your troubles at others is not proper etiquette.
???????????????? ???????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????????????????? ???????? ????????????????????-????????????.????????????
Feng glanced at her small, delicate hand. ‘When will I get strong enough to beat those who bully me? Even in my past life I was nothing but a pawn that was used and thrown away by my step mum and my brother. I don’t want to live such a pathetic life anymore.’
“Lady Hiliana, can we increase my training time?” the lady glanced at her curiously. “Why dear?”
“I want to get stronger.” Feng glanced at the sparkling ocean. Suddenly, a warm hand gently caressed her head.
“Haste will not bring you any benefits.” her eyes slightly turned red as she peered at her. She could see small sports on Feng that were almost on the stages of awakening. “Worry not, you are getting there my dear.”
Feng glanced at her with a small smile. She then glanced at the twins and Elle, who were standing near the corner of the ship looking out. Elle was blabbering something loudly, nudging Aiden strongly.
Ethan looked bored and Aiden was annoying Elle even more.
Even Yubiri was standing with them, enjoying the sun set.
“Go play with them. You should always enjoy your youth as well,” lady nudged her encouragingly.
Feng glanced at her with a soft blush. “I’m not young you know.”
“I know,” she whispered softly.
Feng froze. She was only joking when she said that, but the lady’s tone made it seem that she totally believed it. “You do?”
“You are but ten years old...” the lady finished her sentence with a small smirk.
Feng let out a deep breath. ‘Phew, I thought my cover was blown,’
“Feng!! Come here!! I see flying fishes!!!!” Elle shouted from the distance,
“coming!” Feng picked up the crystal ball and ran to her. “Where...”
They all enjoyed the scenery. Soon it because slightly cold. The old lady retired to their room whilst they all played happily on the deck.
“Master!!! You have so much to do! You can’t afford to play around!!!” Kijin ran to the deck and dragged Yubiri back to his lab.
“But I want to play....” Yubiri pouted as he was being dragged away. “Feng, wear a coat, it is getting cold~” he shouted before the door closed on his face.
Feng chuckled loudly. “He is still like a kid.”
“He is fifteen actually he should not even be playing with us,” Elle said with a slight snicker.
“Yeah, he is weird.” Ethan nodded to her.
The happy environment suddenly came crashing down when a certain little blond girl came running to them with a happy smile.
‘Shit, she is here.’ Feng wanted nothing to do with her and that stupid master of her’s. She dragged the kids back, but Clarina stood right in their path.
“Oh, look at the time its out nap tome right little Ethan,” Feng pinched his cheeks whist mouthing ‘act sleepy.’
Ethan just let her play with his cheeks. “Oh, yes.. yawn so sleepy,” he said in a dull tone.
Feng’s eyebrows twitched. ‘Oh my god that sounded faker that a plastic butt.’
“Hello!” Clarina said cheerfully. “Can we play?”
“umm.... we are retiring for the day,” Feng said with a kind smile.
Clarina’s expression fell. “oh.... it’s okay if you don’t want to play. I’m just a maid’s girl after all.” she twirled around holding her skirt.
Feng glanced at her in disbelief. ‘Why are you putting words in my mouth? I never said anything about you being a maid. Fuck, this girl really is a white lotus,’
She did not want to spend even a second with her.
“Let’s go,” she ran past her.
“Wait!” Clarina tugged at her sleeve.
The little sphere Feng held slipped from her hand and shattered into million pieces.
