Chapter 76: Chapter 76 – Whose side are you on?

The next day, Feng was busy training and Yubiri decided to pop by. He sat next to lady Hiliana and spoke in whispers.

Feng distractedly watched them.

“Darling, concentrate,” the lady warned once more.

“Sorry. But I am curious what you both are talking about lady,” Feng ran to them with her short legs and stood by the table.

Lady Hiliana placed a small cookie in her mouth. “Eat that and continue,”

“Aww, I wanted to listen....” Feng mumbled, chewing on it loudly. The cookie tasted so good, there were small bits of blueberry in them that burst in her mouth. “So good...” she moaned softly.

Yubiri chuckled. “if you want, I can make you a device that can create all of your favourite dishes.” He said, wiping her mouth with a small towel.

.....

“Nah, it’s okay. If I had that, I will probably be as round as a balloon,” she ran back to her practice.

As soon as she turned her back, Yubiri’s expression went dire. “That girl, Clarina, she is not a young girl at all.”

“I know.” The lady sipped her tea. “Did you forget that our Rofles family has the third eye? Even in my age, I can still see things much clearer,” she mumbled with her eyes glowing red slightly.

Yubiri sat back. “I underestimated you, old lady. You do posses extraordinary qualities,”

“So do you, young mage. But I presume it was not the reason you are here for,” she rose a brow questionably.

“Ahem... the twins they have not been attending my classes.” He said with an awkward look. “Did something happen?”

“I would have to ask you, sir. Did something happen between you and your pupils?”

“I-I don’t know. One day they were demanding me to teach them and the next they were gone,” he said softly. “It’s frustrating really.... if they are not going to be serious about it there is no use asking me and wasting my time as well.”

“I believe they are upset with you.” the lady suddenly injected.

“Upset about what?”

“That, you would have to figure it out, sir. I believe for a talented mage like you would be easy as pie,” she giggled and glanced at Feng. “Feng darling, I want your punches to be much faster and precise. Don’t bend your elbows,”

“yes!” Feng punched the sand bag in front of her. After a few weeks, her training had intensified to punching and kicking exercise. It took a lot of energy to continuously punch but after days of practice, her muscles started to get used to it.

She took a breath and punched it, releasing her breath simultaneously.

“Looks like she is getting the hang of it,” lady Hiliana whispered satisfactorily. “Oh, and young mage don’t cause too much ruckus. If what you did gets out Feng will be in danger.”

“He won’t talk. I made sure that he won’t talk at all..” he smirked widely eating a coconut cookie.

“You are so evil,” lady smirked, handing him a plate of cocunt crumble cookie.

Yubiri left after that to the Feng’s room. The door was locked from the outside. “Where might they be...”

He roamed around until he found magic traces of ice particles around. “Hmmm they are here.” He opened the random door to see them sitting and meditating on the bed.

“Don’t disturb them,” Elle hit his thighs with her elbow.

“You were housing my pupils?” he pushed her away from him a bit but the little girl punched him again.

“Ow that hurt...”

“They hate you now.” she said, hanging onto his arms. “What did you do, you silly mage?”

He flicked her forehead softly. “You are talking just like your grandmother,”

“Well, I’ve heard that my grandmother is the wisest, so I’ll take that as a compliment.” She looked proud of it.

Yubiri smirked. “Why are they upset?”

“Donno, something about you being a deceiver,” she shrugged and ran back to the bed.

Both Ethan and Aiden were glaring at him intently.

‘So we are back to level one,’ Yubiri sighed. “I was hoping for an explanation.”

Ethan jumped and turned his back towards him, Aiden on the other hand sweetly smile at him. It was sickly sweet with a hint of killing intent.

“What is wrong?”

“You are not on our side, master... or should we even address you that?” Aiden mumbled with the same sweet smile.

“Whose side might that be?” Yubiri raised his brow. He slowly walked closer, but the two boys did not even break their eye contact.

“Feng’s of course. I saw your eyes follow that little girl around. You think we won’t notice,” he raised his brows.

Elle gasped. “Oh my god you paedophile you were looking at that maid girl like that. Should I stay away from you too?” She moved at least five steps away.

Yubiri frowned. “Its better you don’t touch me.” he flickered her forehand again. “But I won’t accept this accusation of yours. That girl you talk about disgusts me to the core.”

Ethan glanced back hopefully. “So you don’t like her?”

“Do you all like her?”

“No!” all three kids in the room shouted simultaneously.

“Then we are all on the same side.”
