163 Chapter 163 – Back home

Feng Mei Rofles hid in a small bush and watched a particular tree. On the huge trunk were thousands and thousands of locusts resting after they had ravished the nearby towns.

The fields of the nearby villages were already destroyed by this locust group. They had tried magic to deal with them but it had been close to impossible to destroy all thousands of these small beasts.

Even if one escaped, they lay eggs and multiply at such a high speed.

For the past ten years, they had been trying every single method to get rid of them and even a class mage was unable to destroy them completely.

so finally, the task fell on her hand by her wretched master. this was the final task he had given her and he even promised that he would take her home after this was over.

Feng grinned weirdly looking at them. these ugly creatures stand in the way of me going home.

She watched and waited for the right moment.

Just as they all started to fly again, she shot out of her hiding spot. As soon as her small feet stepped close to the tree, the whole time froze. the locusts that had taken flight froze mid-air.

She flashed through the thousands of those dark creatures slashing each of their heads.

.....

Her sword moved with so much precision that each of her small wrist movements ended the life of a mutated locust creature.

She continued rampaging through the crowd leaving behind huge green droplets of insect blood levitating mid-air

Her white clothes remained untainted.

Feng hurriedly moved around and finally took down the whole horde of creatures.

Panting slightly, she glanced back with a huge grin, “I did it master!!! I know you are hiding somewhere,”

Claus descended from the sky landing in front of her softly like an angel descending to the world, his beautiful white clothes fluttered softly as he stood there looking at the dead creatures floating around.

“mmmm”

“So, let’s go home. It’s been ten years! Elle must be seventeen and the boys must be fifteen by now. Oh my god, I can’t wait to see them again.” She happily squealed running around the small clearing.

“Not so fast, young lady.” Claus looked at her with his brows raised.

“Huh? What? I killed each and every one of them. Loo. I even killed the eggs in its tummy,” she showed him a cluster of small eggs that she had intentionally tore out of that creature’s tummy.

Claus nodded thoughtfully. “But I won’t accept this.”

“You! Master, you are being so unfair! I killed them all! Not even a class mage was able to defeat them ah! I took the down in ten minutes. Why are you being so unfair to me? I just want to go home and see my mum. Do you know how much I miss my family? It was fun traveling the world with you but I miss them so much. You even took away my communication crystal saying it’s a distraction so I haven’t seen their faces in so long!”

Claus nodded. “I know but do you realize what kind of mistake you did?” he pointed to one of the dead locusts that were still frozen in time. “For this one you used a blunt edge of your scabbard to cut through it. the cut was not clean and its guts flew out. And this one. You told me you tore its tummy but look, the eggs are still alive. This is not how you do it, Feng. You have to redo it.”

“Redo!! Oh my god! You monster, you are making me redo it!”

???????????????? ???????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????????????????? ???????? ????????????????????-????????????.????????????

“Yes, I am. This is your final task. You better restore their past healthy body and kill them perfectly this time. Kill every one of them in a very clean manner. Got it?” Claus backed away, leaving her there standing in a field of green goo floating in the air.

Redo... redo...

Feng felt like collapsing.

In her years of training, she had practiced only two techniques. Time freeze ability and time reverse which her master was an expert at.

She had perfected the time freeze method. Everything within her range she can freeze or unfreezes as she wished. Her range was almost twenty kilometers wide, and she had full control over that area. Outside that she had partial control. she had no say which to freeze and what not to.

This was her greatest achievement regarding her training.

As for her time reverse technique.... She fell short.

She had been trying her best to perfect it but it was so hard!

The last time she tried time reverse on a dead puppy she had become a panting mess.

Feng blankly looked at the thousands and thousands of locust corpses floating around. “And he expects me to time reverse each and every one of them!!!!! Fuck!!! I want to go homeeeeeee...”

She fell to her knees in defeat.

Unlike her time-free ability time reverse does not work in a range. She can only reverse time for selective targets and living creatures.

Her master actually ordered her to reverse the time for so many of those creatures and then kill them again.

Feng sighed once again. ‘I have to be patient.. patience is a virtue.. I am a lady. I can’t cuss....” She glanced around. If she cussed out, loud the man would give her even harder task. Who knows maybe he would ask her to collect the locust poo off the ground if he wanted to.

She did not wish to aggravate him even more.

After a second of silence, she resigned to her fate. She went around reversing time for each and every one of the locusts. The sliced-off heads of the creatures slowly came together and fused with each other. Its dead eyes of it became bright.

They were still held in time freeze.

Feng slowly took her time to bring them all back to life.

By the evening they had all been restored back to their original state.

“Now shall I kill them?” she looked back.

“Good job. You have practiced your time reverse skill well. But you still fail at this technique when your target is bigger than a puppy.”

Feng’s eyelids twitched. “yeah, master I’m just a child.” She said with a forced smile.

He gasped. “But you are forty-five years old this year. How can you be shameless and claim to be a child tsk, tsk Feng I expected more from you.”

“My body is just twenty years old!” Feng was so tempted to hit his face. “a gentleman would not talk so openly about a women’s age.”

“But you were blatantly lying,” he pouted.

Feng sighed. “Yes master, I was lying. I’m an old cow/ now can I go kill them again!”

“yes, please do. That’s what you came here for? Why are you standing around wasting time.”

Feng gritted her teeth holding back that cuss word. With a swoosh, her small figure darted toward the locusts.

This time she took her time to make a clean cut while killing.

By the end of it, there were only locust dead bodies floating mid-air. It was not as gory as before.

She too was surprised by how good this looked like. At times she doubtfully looked at the dead locust to make sure that they were not alive.

Claus went around looking at each and every one of them. He looked at the cluster of eggs that were individually squashed “good job.”

“So? Can we go?” fen hopefully looked at him.

Claus smiled at her. “We shall.”

“Yes!!!!! Lest go! Come on master let’s not waste time! It evening already!!!” she grabbed his hand.

They rushed to the nearby transportation array. With a few spirit coins, the were transported directly over to the hedge of the black forest.

The climate changed all around the world but in the dark forest, the season never changes. The dark leaves of the forest remained the same, the climate remained the same dark and gloomy.

Nothing had changed here.

But she had changed a lot since the last time she had been there.

In just ten years, she had shot up in height and was about five foot five by now. Her slightly chubby face had slimmed down to reveal her sharp and elegant chin and her beautiful almost shaped eyes.

Her plump lips had turned into a slight shade of pink.

The only thing that drastically changed was her hair. After practicing the time ability for so long time the golden time particle had embedded inside her body fully concentrating on her hair. Her mousy brown hair had turned into a glowing golden shade.

Anyone who took one look at her froze in awe at her beauty.

But Feng had still ignorant of this.

Claus glanced at the guy who was blatantly peering at her with admiration and feelings in his eyes and sighed. ‘Why is my student so dense?’

He moved forward hiding Feng’s form. “My dear student you like to attract trouble everywhere you go.”

“Huh what?”

“Nothing let’s go in. if we pass the black forest we can get home safely.”

“Yes!!!!”
