Arc 6 - Zephyr's Grand Information Explosion!
Chapter 295 - A Small Prelude in the Morning and a Suspicious Gaze
RING
I awoke with the ringing sound.
For the love of god, who is that agitated individual who sent a message early Monday morning, even before the alarm clock could sound? Or so were my thoughts, but it was hard to go against the drowsiness seizing me.
I gave in to my drowsiness until the 6:30 a.m. alarm went off, making a shrill sound.
“Kuh, couldn't it have rung a bit later...”
There’s nothing more tortuous than being forced to wake up just as you’re about to dive into your sweet sleep.
I felt even more disheartened, considering that now the drowsiness would haunt me for the whole day.
I urged my body to get up after deciding to take a nap somewhere in the afternoon.
"Right, I didn't check earlier to see who sent the message. I will make sure whoever sends them pays for it along with the interest.”
I took the <Smartphone> in my hand while wondering how I should make them pay for their atrocity.
I was still feeling sleepy. I forced my body to move with heavy eyelids to check out which damn person was so keen on losing their peace.
—-The sender's name shown was “Saturn-kun”.
“Spartan. I’m going to make him work like a horse today!”
That's when I decided to give him hell-mode training today.
I tossed my <Smartphone> to the side and began preparing for the morning; I'll check the text later.
I was assigned a room on the first floor of an aristocrat dorm, and the entire room was basically mine. Because only aristocrats live in the aristocrat dorm, the rooms are quite large, and I was alone in one of them. Talk about luxury.
Excellent students like Hannah also get one room for themselves, though the rooms in the ordinary girl’s dormitory are smaller than here.
The usual trend was to share the room between 2-4 students. With how big the Labyrinth Academy was and due to the boarding system, it was the norm to have roommates.
That is why students who have the entire room to themselves are the target of student’s envy; after all, who doesn't want a room to themselves?
That being said, often there are students who can't cope alone.
Knock-Knock
“You're welcome. I hope my crude dishes will fill your stomach.”
Hannah, noticing the wave of melancholy that washed over me upon seeing the empty plate, promised to make them again next time. I thanked her for her generosity.
Hannah, She’s seriously a good girl!
“Speaking of, Will Zephyr-kun come to the guild after classes?”
Hannah asked while cleaning the dishes right after we finished eating. I replied while going through my preparation for the morning.
“Yup. I'll be a little late because I have business with my classmates, but I'll be there because I also need to pass the information on to members."
“Then I will also visit the guild.”
Hannah was the only one in a different major than the rest of the <Eden> members, so she doesn’t have many chances to show up in the guild.. Though she seemed to have enough time to have breakfast with me just like now.
Additionally, she also seemed to be quite busy in the <Production Department>.
She seems to be handling requests from all over, and not just students, teachers have also come to rely on her. So it wasn't just me; Hannah was also so preoccupied with various things that she didn't have time to frequent the guild.
She now only has enough time to show up on weekends.
“Are you done, Zephyr-kun? Can I use the washroom now?”
"I'm finished, so you can use it."
On the occasion Hannah made breakfast, she would often head to her department building directly instead of revisiting her girl’s dormitory. So her daily necessities, such as toothbrushes, are kept in my bathroom.
We also don’t have much time to take it easy in the morning either, so while Hannah is busy washing dishes, I would use the washroom in the meantime, and when I’m done, then it would be her turn to use it. It was the tactic-understanding between us.
Maybe that’s how it would have felt if I had a roommate too. I completed my preparation as such a thought passed through my mind. Now I just have to wait for Hannah and then leave.
“Sorry for the wait, Zephyr-kun.”
“It’s fine, let’s go.”
We left the room once Hannah was also done with her preparation.
On this note, it was Hannah’s job to lock the door. Though I attempted to take on this job as well, she refused to listen to me for some reason, so I had to leave it to her.
Like this, another morning has passed. This was my recent lifestyle, which had become a part of my life.
I left the aristocrat dormitory along with Hannah and accompanied her until it was time to part ways and go to our respective dormitories. It was like a youth page with many desires.
Albeit, I was unaware of the countless gazes that were watching us from the shadows till the end.
