Kuh, but that's not everything.
Being the first one in the list doesn't mean you are guaranteed to be accepted!
Nameless 1st year Shielder
But I will be the first one to catch their attention!
That's already a big advantage in itself!
Nameless 1st year Sage Rabbit
Ah, sorry to disappoint you but Brave-kun isn't going to participate in the selection from the thread.
I have already written it on top of the thread, Brave-kun is going to join only to take interview.
Nameless 1st year Shielder
Critical Hit Argh!?
Nameless 2nd year Alchemist
Nice follow up, Sage Rabbit-san.
Anyway, if there is nothing else, can we have some meaningful discussion?
Nameless 2nd year Priest
You sure have recovered quickly from the dump huh.
What do you want to talk about though?
Nameless 2nd year Alchemist
Just some minor questions, the available spots are only 5, right?
Aren't you going to create a subordinate guild?
Nameless 1st year Sage Rabbit
Actually, I have yet to propose this to Brave-kun.
It's mostly because of Brave-kun and his plan that I didn't get the chance to say it, I am planning to suggest it once again when I will show him the long list of candidates.
Nameless 3rd year Supporter
Interesting.
I assume Brave is thinking they are doing fine for now so having a subordinate or not doesn't matter, eh?
From a financial perspective, it might be disadvantage for a 1st year guild to set up a subordinate guild at this time as well.
It's going to be the start of a long summer vacation after all.
Earning would plummet with most of the guild members leaving to their home in holiday rush. All they would earn will go into maintenance, so it is more conventional to form a subordinate guild at the opening of next academic term, September, among freshmen.
Nameless 2nd year Priest
Ah, yeah. It costs to maintain them.
It's outright luxury for ordinary guilds.
Subordinate guild system was something meant for high-rank guilds originally.
I can't see ‹Eden› just settling at D-rank, so I think they will create it around that time, but it seems a bit too early, no?
Nameless 1st year Sage Rabbit
No, it isn't the issue of maintenance cost.
I am just waiting for the right timing before proposing that plan. There's a good chance Brave-kun will agree to it.
Nameless 2nd year Priest
Oh, I see.
If you manage to establish a subordinate guild, the starting spot would increase to 10 huh.
Then, there will be 5 more vacancies once ‹Eden› rank up to D, and 5 more once that subordinate guild is promoted to E-rank.
A maximum of 20 people for the large-scale interview.
Nameless 1st year Sage Rabbit
But ‹Eden› currently has 15 members, so it's impossible to take in 20 members all at once.
Nameless 3rd year Supporter
Yeah, it will exceed the member count.
You know, this reminds me of some instances from the past I heard. Like in such a situation where guild takes in more members than they can register, the guild is usually taken over by them, cause the guild to split into two factions or sneaky ones fishing for the opportunity and replacing the senior members etc.
There is also the matter of adaptability. Some members who are capable but failed to adjust in a short time kind of create their own comfortable zone than the rest of the guild. If there are too many of them, usually the situation gets out of hand from senior members and the guild loses its harmonious atmosphere.
Nameless 2nd year Priest
Ah, that's why you say it's just the first round.
So you are planning to recruit members in multiple phases, huh?
Nameless 1st year Sage Rabbit
Correct.
‹Eden› currently can be said to be riding on the cloud high, and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
I want to protect this harmonical environment, so recruitment will be done in phases.
Nameless 2nd year Alchemist
I see.
I have taken note of it. Thanks, Sage Rabbit-san.
Nameless 1st year Sage Rabbit
You're welcome~.
Alright, if there are any more questions, please feel free to ask. We have interviews after school, so I'll do my best to answer any questions until then.
Nameless 2nd year Alchemist
Fufu, Shielder-kouhai.
No hard feelings, okay?
Nameless 1st year Shielder
Obviously!
