"Alright, time to check the result!"
While emphasizing on atmosphere, I announced at the sandy beach in front of Ghost Ship.
It's the time to peer into the treasure that everyone had gotten in this test of coura—ahem...I mean, ‹Monster Hunt In Night›!
The time was past our scheduled time, and everyone had gathered safely. Well, I guess I had to give in to our members, not everyone would have been able to make their way out of this ghost ship exploration in dim light. As expected of ‹Eden›. Ahahaha!
They all were seeking each other's impression of their little trip when I turned everyone's attention to myself.
"Let's begin with the big monster subjugator team!"
Big monsters were a variant of normal monsters, much like ‹Ghost Ship Captain› we had encountered, which were far stronger than your run-of-the-mill small fries. However they're not the bosses and could be defeated easily even solo.
The name of our short excursion was mostly now accepted as ‹Monster Hunt at Night›, so we were going to give points based on the big monster defeated as well.
"There were three types of big monsters on the ship. ‹Ghastly Manta Ray›, ‹Wraith› and ‹Ghost Ship Captain›. The team that encountered and defeated them is Team A! ...Team B! ...Team D! and Team G!"
Clink-Clink Fwoosh
Every team that I mentioned, took out their drop items and raised them up as my words dropped.
Team A—consisted of Lana, Pamela, Noel and Kairi—and Team D of Karua seemed to have taken down the ‹Ghost› category big monster ‹Wraith› and acquired ‹White Ragged Fabric›. Contrary to what the 'ragged' in its name might suggest, it was a good item drop, and one of the best featured armament material one could gain from upper floors.
Team B whose member were Ester, Misato, Misato, Lacritta and Maria had taken down ‹Animal Zombie› category big monster ‹Ghastly Manta Ray›, acquiring the material ‹Chief Manta Ray's Big Cartilage› which was used in ‹Alchemy› or ‹Dispensing› so it turned to Hannah.
And finally comes our team, who take down ‹Ghost Ship Captain› and acquire ‹Voyage Record› material item from it. It was possible to acquire the ‹The Map of Ghost Ship›, which explains the positioning of ‹Ghost Ship›, by deciphering it. ——Though, in truth, it was a key item in the quest to search for the ‹Ghost Ship› that went adrift in the sea and became missing, or also to find hidden ‹Ghost Ship›. ......Alas, I was sure Sierra would waste not a single second before throwing it away so I concealed the actual details.
"Let's see, so there are four teams in the lead. Then let's start off our next round, treasure appraisal!"
I could see a smug expression on many members' faces already as I announced the continuation. Hoho, so it seemed they must have gotten quite a treasure in their hand.
"As I had mentioned, each team who has managed to get a treasure chest would get a lavish reward. Then, let's start with the team that got ‹Wooden Chest›. And they're...Team F and Team E!" for new novels
'Truly a pity...,' both teams that I named shook their heads in dejection.
Well, I guess so. The team in lead should have ignored them because they were wooden chests. Plus, a team couldn't open more than one chest as rule. Then again, it was the privilege of teams that won in the draw to head first, and they also had the leeway to wager on the next treasure chest.
The Team E and F had to be content with ‹Wooden Chest› due to time constraint and limited range for exploration, and there was no guarantee they would be able to get any treasure chest ahead.
"Stepping up, the team who managed to get ‹Silver Chest› are...Team A and Team D!"
"Yippee. Woah, what's this!? An adorable plushie fest?!"
The lavish reward was indeed...plushies!
Or more like, this was the most safe and viable option since ‹Eden› was crawling with plushie lovers. And since it was summer, the plushies I had prepared were also dressed in summer fashion. Like swimsuits, yukata, outdoor clothing and so on.
Incidentally, they were all based after monsters or mascot-esque, like Mochiko or hornless horned rabbit. They were all lined up in the shelf I had set up on the beach, and I must say, I wasn't a plushie enthusiast but they do make an impressive sight.
It was perfect, except the scene where Hannah swiped the...slime plushie in a zap.
" " S-So freaking adorable~!! " " "
I had every team choose their pick following the point ranking. Overall, my gift idea was well received by them.
In the blink of an eye, the beach was now populated by our members holding their respective plushies, showing the cute aspect of their pick.
So lively~...I mean not. I almost forgot but it was time to go back. Let's do it now before they get engrossed in their discussion.
"Alright everyone. First of all, thank you very much for participating in the guild's Summer Plan! There may not be many days left for the summer vacation, so make sure to enjoy the remaining time to your heart's content. This is all. Now let's go back!"
" " " "Thank you very much~" " " "
With this, the sea event came to an end at high note as we made our way back to surface.
How do you do, dear readers? This is Author speaking.
Thank you very much for all your support in this sea update! Next chapter is the bulletin board and in one more week, the summer chapter will come to an end too after the last, but not any bit less boisterous, summer festival.
Speaking of, there will be a you-know-what-I-mean event after one week. So I would like to ask something from our readers.
—This may sound sudden, do you crave Christmas presents?
—I for sure have endless cravings!!
Ahem. Ahaha, right, we did get derailed from the main topic.
It would soon be one year since the serialisation of ‹Dungeon Activity›. So I would like to give my heartfelt gratitude to all the readers and for that, I have also prepared a Christmas present! What story would you like to—Cough...I mean, I have already prepared a Grand Christmas Plan!
The title of the event is ‹A present for everyone, a heap of gifts, a present pandora campaign!›.
Stay tuned in for 24th. And please, continue to shower the novel with your presence!
