Shao Hua had never been so impulsive in his life. He was genuinely furious. The moment he found out someone wanted to take advantage of Dou Yurui, he could not keep his cool.

“I attacked him…”

“Enough. Now is not the time to worry about accountability. Take Cousin Yurui and leave first. I’ll handle this.”

Lu Jingye spoke in a firm tone. He said to Shadow, “Give Cousin Yurui to him.”

Shadow promptly carried Dou Yurui and passed her to Shao Hua.

Shao Hua hurriedly took Dou Yurui from Shadow.

“Use my car and take her away.”

Shao Hua paused briefly and nodded. He proceeded to walk off, carrying Dou Yurui.

When Shao Hua attempted to leave, Owen’s bodyguards promptly wanted to stop him. Unexpectedly, only Shao Hua was able to access the invisible barrier while they were completely blocked off.

After they had left, Zi Yi and Lu Jingye stood in front of Owen as he lay curled up on the ground clutching his stomach. Zi Yi said, “If we let him leave now, Country A will undoubtedly make all kinds of demands because of this. Why don’t we beat them to it and push all the blame on him?”

“Uh huh.” Lu Jingye felt the same way. He took out his phone and dialed a number. When someone answered the phone, he said candidly, “I attacked Owen. He had ulterior motives for Zi Yi’s cousin and took her to a hotel when she was drunk… Uh huh. I want an explanation from the royalty of Country A. If they think it was wrong of me to attack the guy, they can consider themselves to be making an enemy of the Lu family.”

Lu Jingye hung up the phone once he was done talking. He said to Zi Yi, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will handle this and talk to the royalty. We just need to assign people to keep an eye on Owen and ensure he doesn’t die.”

Zi Yi nodded. She summoned Shadow III. “Keep an eye on him.”

“Got it.”

Shadow III went invisible on saying this.

Zi Yi had used a barrier, so no one could see anything inside.

After Zi Yi removed the barrier, everyone finally saw Owen lying there looking badly beaten up.

Owen’s bodyguards ran over quickly.

They hurriedly took Owen and went off.

The hotel manager did not expect this to happen on his watch. He hurriedly came over and greeted them reverently, “Hello, Second Young Master Lu and Second Young Madam.”

Lu Jingye said to the manager, “Someone brought Yiyi’s cousin to the hotel and wanted to take advantage of her. However, we managed to stop him. If anyone asks, I was the one who attacked him.”

The hotel manager pondered and quickly nodded. “Got it.”

Before long, Lu Jingye and Zi Yi left.

By the time they got back to the villa, lots of people were still drinking there.

Most of them were rather drunk and were made to sit down.

Lu Jingye said to Zi Yi, “Why don’t you go back to rest first? I will drink a little more before going back to the room.”

Zi Yi nodded. “Find some way to make your brother leave first.”

“Uh huh.”

The two of them walked off in opposite directions.

After going upstairs, Zi Yi first took a bath and went to see the twins. Mrs. Lu was also in the nursery.

The twins were sleeping and Mrs. Lu sat by the side, leaning her head against her hand as she dozed off.

Zi Yi said softly, “Mom.”

Mrs. Lu hurriedly opened her eyes. She looked at Zi Yi and asked, “Yiyi, is it over downstairs?”

“No.”

“These young people are really good at drinking. They don’t seem worried about their health at all.”

“Now they finally have the chance to drink with Ah Jing and his brother, they naturally feel enthusiastic about drinking.”

Mrs. Lu could not resist laughing. “Well, that’s true. It’s Yunxiao’s wedding night, so he should go back to the room early. Don’t let him get too drunk.”

“I get it. Ah Jing said he will find a way to let him leave.” Zi Yi continued speaking, “Mom, you must be exhausted. Why don’t you go back to rest first? I’ll bring the twins to the room to sleep.”

Mrs. Lu was genuinely exhausted today, so she stood up. “Okay then. I’m going to bed first.”

She left soon after.

Zi Yi called the robot nanny over to carry the babies to the room.

A babies’ crib was placed next to the bed but the moment the babies were placed in the crib, they woke up.

Zi Yi carried them to the bed and smiled as she said, “Good evening my dears.”

Guoguo promptly waved her hands happily.

Tangtang looked at her with his big round eyes.

Zi Yi had not seen them for most of the day. She lay down in between them and carried one on each side. She rubbed her face on one baby before rubbing her face on the other. Before long, the three of them fell asleep.

By the time Lu Jingye finally sent the last guest out and went back to the room, it was already past midnight.

Even though he was exhausted, his exhaustion disappeared the moment he saw them on the bed.

After taking a shower, he wanted to place the babies into the crib. When he carried Guoguo, she simply continued sleeping.

However, Tangtang unexpectedly opened his eyes the moment he carried him.

Lu Jingye looked into his eyes and whispered, “Your mother and sister are both sleeping. Let’s not wake them up, okay?”

Tangtang grabbed his pajamas with his little fists and was very well-behaved.

Sure enough, Tangtang closed his eyes and fell back asleep.

Lu Jingye finally lay down in bed, embraced Zi Yi, and went to sleep.

Word about Owen getting beaten up quickly reached the ears of the royalty of Country A.

The princes were called to their father’s study. The King looked at his sons sternly as they sat in front of him. “Owen got beaten up by Lu Jingye and was badly hurt. How do you think we should handle this?”

The Fifth Prince slammed the chair armrest angrily. “Since the Lu family has no respect for the royalty of Country A, why should we lower ourselves to be nice? We have decent aerospace tech and we have more talent, so it isn’t hard for us to surpass them. We have to go after them for what they did to Third Brother!”

The Sixth Prince promptly chimed in. “That’s right. Third Brother went over to attend a wedding. If he fancies a woman from the Dou family, she should consider it an honor. How could Lu Jingye hurt Third Brother? We have to go after them for this and be sure to bankrupt them! Why don’t we sue them in the international courts?”

The Fourth Prince said, “Lu Jingye beat up Third Brother, and pushed the blame on us. I’m sure he has an exit plan for this. Also, our country recently suffered a huge loss, so we can’t afford to go against them.”

The Fifth Prince retorted, “Why not? Lu Jingye started it. Since he dared to attack someone from the royal family, he should be prepared to face the consequences.”

The Fourth Prince looked at how agitated they were and shared his opinion. “Fifth Brother, Sixth Brother, don’t you know what the political climate is? On hearing this, the Fifth Prince and Sixth Prince looked annoyed, but they did not continue arguing.
