A few minutes had gone by, and the private room was completely silent.
While one person was sipping some wine in a relaxed manner, the other person was filled with anxiety and nervousness.
Zhao Kai was rendered speechless by the swift rejection from him. He even began to wonder if Xu Feng didn't care about the possibility of him exposing his identity.
At the very least, he should try to mince the word and not be so direct.
"If my sister ever finds out your identity and role, then it's going to be disastrous for you and me." Zhao Kai explained, trying his best to not make it seem like a threat.
To him, he was legitimately stuck in the middle of two of his closest people.
One was his buddy and another was his step-sister. Both are people that he cherished, and it was suffocating to be squeezed by these two.
"You don't need to worry too much." Xu Feng chuckled softly, having understood his predicament.
"You can just continue to play the Divine World and occasionally train in the guide I sent you. You just need to grow stronger and that's all."
Annoyed and irritated, Zhao Kai scratched his hair, nearly ruining its style in the process.
"Ugh, forget it. I don't even want to care about this complicated crap." He said after taking a deep breath. "But still, why are we still staying in the private room?"
"Would you have preferred us to go outside and meet with other people?" Xu Feng responded with a question of his own.
Sure enough, Zhao Kai shook his head repeatedly and began pouring himself a cup of wine as well.
Meanwhile, Xu Feng seemed to be chilling on the surface, but he secretly determined the potentially dangerous people to avoid.
During the commotion caused by Zhang Jingyi, Xu Feng was more focused on the reactions of the crowd.
'There's quite a few that have been alarmed by the name Zhao Kai, but none of them actually acted up. What a pain.' There were just too many at the party despite the fact that it was early access.
However, it was precisely that fact which prompted Xu Feng to be vigilant. He was not wary of those barred outside, but toward those who can be in the party at this early time.
"Did you rile those two young masters, Hans Zhou and Lang Shan?"
"Who?"
"Those two!" Zhao Xin rolled her eyes and pointed at the two people currently being held back by the security guards.
Following her pointing, Xu Feng recognized those two were the ones gossiping about them earlier.
However, that was about it. They were two clowns after all.
Why would he pay attention to clowns?
"Let me guess. They accused me of being the cause of their brawl and now their parents and other influential people believe I'm the culprit." Xu Feng smiled.
"You still have the courage to smile?" Zhao Xin twitched her mouth. "The security guards said they fought because you taunted them with the gold invitation card."
Amused, Xu Feng glanced at the guards who testified against him. They were solemn and seemed to have some sort of hatred toward him.
Smirking, Xu Feng pointed at the CCTV and asked, "And it just so happened the camera stopped working so now it's their words against mine."
Dumbfounded, Zhao Xin didn't expect Xu Feng to know about it.
She pursed her lips and walked closer to him, "Since you know this is most likely a trap, you need to defuse it. Just say that it was a misunderstanding and I can step in to resolve it."
Naturally, Zhao Xin was no fool either to believe Xu Feng and Zhao Kai to be flexing their status and taunted these two young masters to start a brawl.
They claimed that whoever won the brawl would be granted entry early to prove their status was superior to the other.
However, anyone with a few brain cells would know how illogical that was.
Yet these wealthy folks acted dumb, which meant one thing. They knew the truth, but this was a matter of their reputation.
And nothing was more important than their reputation.
'Reputation huh. These people really need to get a slap of reality.' Xu Feng inwardly sneered, taking a step forward to face the crowd.
