Chapter 263: Vanguard Hotel

As Xu Feng arrived at the backdoor, it was locked tightly.

Not even a Tier 3 NPC could possibly break through the door and forcefully enter with the runes and formations inlaid.

With such high defense, it explained why the crowd was so agitated, but none actually dared to forcefully enter through brute strength.

Naturally, Xu Feng didn't have to brute force anything as the system recognized him as the owner already.

Shortly after entering the backdoor, some of the workers there were stunned by his sudden appearance.

"Boss, you're here at last." One of the female workers exclaimed in joy. "I'm the newly hired hotel manager, Tracy. Outside is filled with people wanting us to open the hotel, but without your authorization, we are unable to do anything."

Nodding, Xu Feng smiled, "I've already understood the gist of the situation. How many workers do we currently have, Tracy?"

"Reporting, we have 7 workers, including me," Tracy responded swiftly. "Please rest assured that we are all experienced hotel workers and can manage the situation."

Toward her reassurance, Xu Feng didn't doubt her words. After all, employees within an establishment, especially the owner, had complete control of the building.

If there was anyone who dared to make a move against the employees or the owner, it would be foolish for them to think it would work.

Hence, the crowd outside was merely ranting their anger, but can't actually act upon it.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng got the overall understanding as he commanded, "We can open the hotel, but given the limited rooms available. Tell them that we are auctioning them for 1 gold coin per night with a minimum increase bid of 10 silver coins. The highest bidders would win, and they get to decide how much night they want to stay with the price based on their winning bid value."

Although Xu Feng said in a heartbeat, Tracy smiled and nodded her head.

"Right, we still need a name for the hotel." She gently reminded him. A hotel needed a name, but only Xu Feng had the authority to choose the name for it.

Xu Feng furrowed his brows slightly before speaking, "In that case, the hotel shall be named Vanguard Hotel."

"Good day everyone." Tracy smiled brightly, ignoring the unfriendly gazes.

"I'm sure you have already been informed of the owner's arrangement. So without further ado, the first room auction begins now."

Those who were unwilling to bid believed others should follow their heed to destroy the hotel owner's plan.

However, they were truly dreaming if they thought a few words could convince them otherwise.

"I bid 1 gold and 10 silver coins!"

"Dream on. This first room is mine. I bid 1 gold and 40 silver coins."

"Hmph, you bunch of people dared to steal my room? I bid 2 gold coins. I dare you to steal from this master here."

"Master? More like donkey shit you are. 2 gold coins are nothing but short changes in my eyes. I'm bidding for 4 gold coins. Now you all can get out of my way!"

The intensity of the bidding skyrocketed to unimaginable value, and even Xu Feng was struck dumbfounded.

'Damn, these NPCs are wealthy as fuck.' Xu Feng exclaimed inwardly.

Initially, he planned on jacking up the bidding price on purpose by blending in with the crowd, but seeing how heated the bidding war was, he realized it was not needed at all.

The wealth of these NPCs could truly not be compared to the poor players who could only have some small changes such as 1-3 silver coins.

A few seconds later, the one who was clamoring the most won the first room for a whopping 4 gold and 30 silver coins.

"Hahaha, the first room is mine!" The person shouted in joy, exhilarated for winning the room.
