Shortly after Jessica agreed with the ban on the Reaver Guild as a whole, she proceeded to ask, "When can we send people to the ore mine?"
"Any time you want, but I hope that you will make the people mine to sign a strict contract." Xu Feng warned sternly.
Jessica only took a few seconds to understand his intention. The ore mine was currently the lifeline of Star Falls City.
If news of this got out and the rival cities heard of it, they might sabotage them completely. Worse, they might even begin to poach Xu Feng away from them by promising him more benefits.

At the same time, Xu Feng also mentioned it as a warning to her, or more precisely, the City Hall and the Adventure Association.
His position was now unshakable, and his words could be deemed as the law unless they wanted to see Star Falls City being annexed.
"Please excuse me for a minute to get things ready." Realizing the severity of the situation, Jessica dared not delay any longer in announcing city-wide of the Reaver Guild's punishment.
Satisfied, Xu Feng merely nodded his head and calmly took a seat.
"It really saves a lot of trouble and conversation when interacting with clever people." He mumbled softly. Initially, he wanted to give a subtle threat or blackmail to greenlight the ban, but then their business relationship would be stained.
Luckily, Jessica was wise enough and didn't allow him to dabble into that dangerous situation. From her perspective, a mere Reaver Guild did not deserve to cause a rift between their friendly cooperation.
Thus, she was extremely decisive in cutting off the Reaver Guild after Xu Feng revealed his trump card.
While Xu Feng went on to study a few more regarding the Blacksmith Profession, Jessica went downstairs, where a group of players were still crowding at the Adventure Association.
"Eh, why did Receptionist Jessica come down alone?"
His previous arrogant look could not be seen on his face anymore. He looked exhausted and sullen, almost as if he was done with life.
Just at this moment, Eagle Snipe arrived with a cheeky smile on his face.
"Hundred Ghost, just look at the mess you created. Now our guild is losing members rapidly and this is all your fault. I've received the memo from Young Master Gao already, and he wants you to fix this mess." Eagle Snipe sneered coldly.
Hundred Ghost knew this particular mess was orchestrated by Eagle Snipe, but there was nothing he could do. He doubted the detained Assassin would take his side and speak the truth to defend him now that he lost his authority.
"I'll try my best to fix it." He weakly sighed and exited the Tavern. This Tavern was not owned by the Vanguard Guild but was NPC-owned.
However, its cost was astronomically higher than the Tavern built by the Vanguard Guild.
The expenses required daily for them to remain here were taking a toll on their finances. They were merely surviving by spending a lot of dollars to buy coins from other players in the Exchange Center.
As Hundred Ghost wondered how he could contact Xu Feng to make a concession, he decided it was not wise to contact him directly. Instead, he needed to shift his target to another person, Lunar Wraith.
'Right... Lin Feng is only targeting us because we tried to harm Lunar Wraith. If I earn her forgiveness, then there's hope to resolve this.' Hundred Ghost thought. With that in mind, he quickly used his connection to locate Lunar Wraith, specifically those who had teamed up with her before.
He might have been demoted, but his authority and connection were still higher than most.
A few minutes went by, and he got Lunar Wraith's contact as he sent a quick message to her.

Adventure Association
"WHAT THE HECK?!" Carmen, who had logged back in after doing some headhunting, was dumbfounded by a piece of message. Her sudden voice even shocked Xu Feng, who had been focused on his studies.
"Did something happen?" Xu Feng composed himself and asked in concern. Very rarely had he witnessed her losing her composure in such a manner.
