"I see..." Elaine muttered with her hand beneath her chin.
Her Long light brown hair had been tied back by a hair band to make it less of a hassle, her round brown eyes showed a concerned gaze as if she'd recalled something.
"..."
Viera remained quiet with her head hung low. Her Long honey yellow hair rested over her face covering her bright orange irises.
Xavier had just finished explaining the whole situation of his relationship to Sangrea to his mother.
He'd explained how he met her in the city, she ended up being his long-lost childhood friend whom he'd been forced to forget about and how she turned out be his bond and was now his wife.
"...I don't buy it..." Muttered Viera as she clenched her hands into fists.
"Don't buy what?" Xavier asked
"You didn't tell me... If what you said was really true then why didn't you tell me about her? Even if you did forget, there's no way I would... How do you know she's not making this up? Even if you forgot, there's no way I would forget about someone like her..."
She had a point. Xavier had also considered this, but based on the memories which were returning to him, he knew for certain it wans't lies. He wasn't sure why he hadn't told his sister or mother though.
"Actually, Xavier had mentioned it a few times." Said Viera.
'I did?' Xavier thought to himself
-Memory
"Mum, mum... Can I go out to play with a friend? It's snowing!" Asked Xavier with an excited expression as he tugged on his mother's apron as she stood by the kitchen doing the dishes.
"Friend? What friend and where are you guys going?" Viera responded.
"Just outside, I usually go play with her, we don't go too far."
Viera was concerned at first because she did not know who he was referring to. Xavier was only ten, he was at an age to get easily deceived."
"How old is she? Can you show me what she looks like?" Viera questioned.
Xavier slowly shook her head.
"She's eleven! But I can't show you her... I promised her mr. butler not to talk about her..."
Viera was even more concerned at that stage but before she could press on with anymore questions, she was interrupted by Xavier's father who entered the kitchen.
"Oh? You're going to go play with her again? Sure! Go have fun!" Said Eric with a wide smile.
Xavier's expression lit up before he went rushing out of the house. He was already wearing his winter clothes, jacket and gloves.
Viera sent Eric a confused look before putting the dishes down and walking over to him.
"Wha- Who- Who is this mysterious person he's talking about?"
Eric simply smiled and spoke. "Some rich girl who he met and made friends with, they always play together. Don't worry, she's always accompanied by her butler who keeps them safe. They'll be fine."
"So you knew about this all this time and didn't tell me?"
"Because you'd probably try to pry in. Let them have their fun... More importantly, our son already has a girl at his age... Is it my genetics? Man I'm blessed..." Said Eric with a smile
-Memory End.
"I tried pressing him about it but he wouldn't tell me anything more than that." Said Viera with a cold look.
"T-That does sound like him... O-Okay, fine. You knew her when you were younger, but what does that have to do with her suddenly being your wife?"
"Just because she said she's your wife, doesn't mean you have to accept..." Viera muttered.
Sangrea who'd been listening suddenly glanced at Xavier. His sister had a point, even though he was her bond, the one she liked and the only one who could remove her seal, it didn't mean that he had to marry her.
In the end it was ultimately his choice.
And once that thought sunk in for Sangrea, her expression instantly changed from that of a smile to that of worry.
What if he didn't like her? What if he was only going along with it because he felt like he was responsible?
*Grab*
Sangrea was snapped out of her thoughts by Xavier who suddenly put his left arm around her shoulder.
"It's fine, she makes a good wife. She helped me save the two of you too." Said Xavier with a bright smile.
Viera and Elaine were both surprised by Xavier's boldness. Sangrea had turned as a red as tomato, she opened her mouth in disbelief slightly showing her fangs before wrapping her arm around his back.
'Aaaah.... I'm so happy I could die!!' She squealed inwardly.
"But this reaction, usually you're so cold to me. Don't tell me... You're jealou-"
Xavier was interrupted by Viera who suddenly slammed her hand into his mouth to stop him from speaking.
"I was simply trying to confirm that you weren't being deceived is all.. Stupid brother..." She muttered as she tried covering her blush with her other hand.
Xavier extended out his right hand twoards her before patting her head.
"Right, right~ What would I do without you?" He asked with a smile.
Viera seemed to calm down as she gracefully accepted his pats, meanwhile Sangrea was rubbing her cheek against his shoulder.
Elaine watched the three of them interact with a smile. It was good to see the three of them in a good mood, she was also glad that she finally met the girl Xavier would always hang out with.
Behind her smile however, there was a hint of sadness as she wondered about her husbands whereabouts.
If Xavier and the Vampires couldn't find him then there was no choice but to accept it.
'He's really dead...'
'I wonder what he'd think if he were here right now... Xavier's all grown up and is starting to come out just like him... Even if he isn't his biological son...'
*Ahem*
"I hate to interrupt, but I believe we should get going." Said the maid as she suddenly approached the group from the train tracks. "I believe they are coming after our trail as we speak."
