"We're here." Fu Jinchen suddenly stopped and looked ahead. Chu Liang followed his gaze and saw a red house.
"That place is the Village Head's house. It is the only place in the Forgotten Village that we can contact the outside world."
Chu Liang looked at the red house and nodded, "Coincidentally, I need to make a phone call." Fu Jinchen tilted his head and glanced at Chu Liang before asking, "To whom?"
Chu Liang hesitated for a moment. She actually wanted to call Bluesea and explain her situation, but she couldn't reveal Bluesea's existence to Fu Jinchen.
After seeing Chu Liang's hesitant appearance, Fu Jinchen felt a little uncomfortable. Unconsciously, his tone turned slightly sour as he asked, "Are you going to give a call to a man?"
"Yes." Chu Liang didn't know what to say, so he could only agree. Fu Jinchen was angry at her for being overly honest. He took a deep breath and pointed to the front, "Go on your own."
Chu Liang took a few steps forward. When he realized that Fu Jinchen was not following him, he turned around and saw that Fu Jinchen had stopped in his tracks.
"Director Fu?" Chu Liang tried to call out, but when he saw Fu Jinchen's slightly unhappy expression, he coughed dryly and changed his form of address. He then asked, "Jin Chen?"
After hearing these two words, Fu Jinchen's expression eased up slightly. He answered with a faint "En". As he walked, he said, "If you really need me, I can still accompany you."
As Fu Jinchen spoke, he had already arrived in front of Chu Liang. Chu Liang stared at his back, and couldn't help but form a smile on his face.
Very soon, Fu Jinchen arrived at the Village Chief's door. He knocked on it with his hand and walked in. When the Village Chief saw Fu Jinchen, he was momentarily stunned. He reacted and immediately shouted, "Come, old woman."
Chu Liang was stunned for a moment. Although he didn't know why the Village Chief would call for people when he saw them, he still stood obediently behind Fu Jinchen, waiting for him to speak.
She was unfamiliar with this place. This was the first time she came to this kind of countryside, so she had no idea how to communicate with others.
Fu Jinchen walked up to the Village Chief and shouted, "Village Chief, long time no see!"
"What?" The Village Chief retorted with a question. Fu Jinchen raised his voice again and shouted. "Long time no see!"
Only then did the village chief nod his head, smiling as he nodded, "Long time no see, and you brought a girl this time?"
The Village Chief glanced at Chu Liang and winked at Fu Jinchen, "Wife?"
Fu Jinchen immediately coughed and shook his head, "No!"
The village chief was deaf again, he frowned: "Not a new wife? "How many years have you been married?"
Fu Jinchen felt a bit embarrassed. He turned around and glanced at Chu Liang, only to discover that she was smiling.
"Smile?" Fu Jinchen frowned and asked, "Then is it silent?"
Chu Liang restrained his expression for a second and seriously replied: "No."
Fu Jinchen stared at Chu Liang for a long time before an old woman's voice sounded from behind him. "Who's here?"
Fu Jinchen turned around and smiled at the newcomer, "Hello."
"Aiyo, young man, you're here." The old lady looked at Fu Jinchen and patted his shoulder with a smile. When she saw Chu Liang, who was not far away, she was momentarily stunned.
"Tonight, I will definitely gather all of the villagers to prepare a grand feast for all of you."
"Huh?" Chu Liang was stunned. He looked at Fu Jinchen for help but realized that he had completely ignored him. He smiled at the old woman and nodded, "Then I'll have to trouble you."
"Oh right, why are you two here?" The Village Chief asked. Just as Fu Jinchen was about to answer, he remembered something behind the Village Chief's ears. He turned around and glanced at the old woman. "She wants to make a phone call."
The Village Head's words were heard clearly. He stood up and raised his eyebrows, "Jinchen's wife must be beaten."
Chu Liang coughed once before turning his head to sigh helplessly.
"Girl, the phone is over there." The old lady pointed in a direction. Chu Liang followed her gaze and found an old-fashioned phone on a table.
"Thank you." Chu Liang thanked him politely, walked up to the phone, pressed a number, and dialed it.
The phone rang a few times, but no one answered. Chu Liang frowned, thinking that perhaps Lan Ze was being too vigilant, he changed to ringing the bell three times and hung up.
After hanging up for the first time, Chu Liang made another call, but this time he got an answer.
"Why did you use such a remote number to call me?" Lan Ze answered the call with a question. Chu Liang glanced behind him and saw Fu Jinchen still chatting with his wife. She lowered her voice and said,
"Fu Jinchen and I have arrived at a place called 'Forget Worry Village'. There was no signal at all. I was afraid that you might be worried, so I told you about it."
"Who …" Who's worrying about you. " Bluesea's voice paused for a moment before he snorted. "I saw that you have been on good terms with Fu Jinchen recently."
Just as Chu Liang was about to speak, he felt a familiar aura approaching. He turned his head and saw Fu Jinchen's face. A trace of displeasure could be seen in his eyes as he said, "Just as I expected, he's a man."
Chu Liang shook his head and chuckled, "It's really not like that, he's just a kid."
Hearing this, on the other side of the phone, Lanze couldn't help but roar out: "Chu Liang! How many times have I told you that I'm an adult? "
"Okay, if there's nothing else, then I'm hanging up." After speaking, Chu Liang hung up. Looking at Fu Jinchen, he smiled and said, "I've finished using the phone."
Fu Jinchen narrowed his eyes and stared at Chu Liang for a long time. Then, he retracted his gaze and nodded, "I will find out one day."
Chu Liang turned her head away from Fu Jinchen's probing gaze and coughed to hide her embarrassment. She believed that Lan Ze would not reveal his identity so easily.
"Thank you." Fu Jinchen called out to the old woman, who nodded her head. When she saw that Fu Jinchen and Chu Liang were about to leave, she hurriedly said, "You must remember to come tonight."
"Alright." Fu Jinchen smiled as he agreed. Then, he took Chu Liang's shoulder and left the Village Chief's house.
After maintaining this posture for a few dozen meters, Chu Liang unnaturally moved his shoulders and glanced at Fu Jinchen.
"Actually, the villagers of Forgotten Village are all kind and honest, never wanting to go through worldly affairs. They have a long tradition of welcoming every person who comes here, having them hold a welcoming ceremony, singing and dancing that night, and playing together until dawn."
"We can't refuse their kindness, so it's only for a few days."
Fu Jinchen looked at Chu Liang and said half jokingly and half seriously, "Just be my bride."
Chu Liang looked at Fu Jinchen's inky eyes, which reflected his own appearance. His heart moved slightly as he nodded his head.
"Yes, sir."
