Larry was still recoiling from my words, but I didn’t have any time to waste on him. Raising my hand to tap him, I drew even closer.r
He must have taken this as a window of opportunity, because he swiftly launched his arms at me, generating spikes through them. I watched as the sharp-bladed arms lunged at me, but his futile attempts at survival were such a letdown.r
Using <Aura>, I blocked off his assault and proceeded to touch him.r
“The only reason you’re not dead is because I need you for something… remember that!” I whispered in his ears.r
He shivered and nodded slightly, glad that I was sparing his life. Unknown to him, though, the fate I had planned for him was much worse than death by my hands.r
Larry instantly disappeared into [Subspace] and became my property as well. Curious about something, I called out to my Gift and the [Subspace] window.r

[See More]r
I tapped on the [See More] panel, expanding my range even more. In the list and slots given, I saw the humans I trapped within [Subspace]. An interesting observation was made after noticing the difference between them and regular items.r
“I see… so they don’t stack up like the normal objects I put in [Subspace],” I mumbled to myself.r
Usually, when putting two of the same items within my special space, they stack up and share the same slot. However, for humans, even though I had multiple male specimens within [Subspace], they all had individual Slots.r
‘I suppose that’s the difference between humans and objects.’ I reasoned. r
Since the height, weight, size, and several characteristics of humans differed from one another, it was impossible to place them in the same category. Plus, as Gifteds, they had unique Gifts that made them stand out from their fellow humans.r
“[Subspace] must have calculated those factors and assigned them to different slots entirely. How troublesome…”r
That meant my collection of humans would have to be limited. After obtaining my ‘Job’, my [Subspace] slots increased to 100. I increased the Rank of my Gift since then with the (G) Karma Points I received and made it advance from Rank E to D.r
Apart from the removal of distance limitation which I obtained from raising my gift Rank, I got additional slots.r
‘I currently possess 250 Slots. Out of them, 201 are already occupied. Which meant that I have only 49 slots left… not enough to place humans in one by one.’r
Well, there was no point worrying about all that now. After all, the 28 humans I left behind could still fit into [Subspace]. I could simply take care of the remaining once the need arises.r
‘I wonder if Demons take up individual Slots like humans… It will be troublesome if that’s the case…’ My thoughts trailed.r
Looking in the direction of where my remaining prey were, I decided to hurry back before they began to have any funny ideas.r
————————————-r
“L-let’s hurry and leave!” One of the more courageous Camp Members declared.r
He was trembling slightly, but did his best to hide his frailty by acting strong.r
“B-but… h-he told us to wait here… What if he finds out where we went to? I don’t want to die…” Another protested.r
The hypocrite who egged everyone on gritted his teeth when he heard his comrade make this statement. He drew closer to the scared man, drew him by his collar, and gave a fierce glare.r
“You coward! You think he’ll spare us if we wait here? We’ll all die if we remain in this place. I say we take our chances and leave!” He shouted.r
Another person beside him was annoyed by the way the man was pestering all of them. He had been on their case since Jeremy left not very long ago, and was egging everyone on.r
‘I’ve know this man’s personality ever since we were fellow Camp Members. There’s no way I’m going with him.’ The observant woman thought to herself.r
“Hey, why don’t you leave already? Since you don’t want to die, leave.” r
The hot-headed man swiftly turned his face towards the woman, giving her a scowl.r
“Excuse me?”r
She shrugged, not in any way intimidated by his looks. She rose up from where she sat, walking up to the man she started advancing on him at a rapid rate. This made him flustered, as he took a few steps back in nervousness.r
“You can’t fool me, Hank. You’re just a scared loser who doesn’t want to leave this place alone. That’s why you want as many people as you can to follow you!” She said to him, pushing his chest as though daring him to try anything with her.r
Hank was a coward, and he has always believed in collectivity. He knew for sure that they were not safe where they were and wanted to run away and hide. However, he couldn’t leave all by himself, so he wanted more people with him.r
“W-what did you say, Lara? How dare you?! I’m saying this for the sake of everyone. Let’s run away before he returns!” Hank bellowed, finding his courage to speak back.r
A bead of sweat dripped from his face, as he was feeling an unexplainable amount of nervousness, but he couldn’t give in now.r
‘I can’t back down now!’ Hank’s mind rang.r
To his surprise, however, the one who backed down and gave in… was Lara!
