Chapter 355 Despairing Misery

Name:Rise Of The Hoarder Author:
As I stared at the devastated skies like a man who had fallen to the depths of insanity, I noticed three faint lights.

My widened eyes took some to translate what I was seeing into my brain.

But, the moment the image finally registered... I realized a despairing truth.

'They... they're not... dead...?!'

It was downright impossible, but I couldn't argue with what I was seeing.

"Looks like this is ultimately what trash can deliver."

"Well, the best among them still belongs to the 4th Dimensional Layer. Isn't it only natural?"

"Shall we just end this now?"

My body throbbed with fear, sharply looking at my troops with desperation playing on my face.

'DO SOMETHING! ANYTHING!' I wanted to scream out, but my lips wouldn't move.

"Die, trash."

Instantly, I saw the vaporizing glow of the three of them—their jointly colored lights were sent in the direction of my army that littered the sky.

And then—

Before they could react.

Before I could react.

Before anything could be said, done, or even perceived.

—It was over!

>WHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!<

The colors of the blast reflected on my face as I witnessed everyone I was counting on vaporize into nothing but ash.

It didn't matter who they were.

Even the Horsemen of the Apocalypse met the same fate.

Every single one of my Subordinates was consumed by the multicolored light that swallowed the sky whole.

And so, just like that, I was alone once more.

>SHUUUUUUUUU<

The air hissed, and the three beings lowered themselves from their heights a little bit—probably to get a closer look at my whimpering form.

Not even a vestige of my previous confidence could be seen.

All the haughtiness that came with my strength was nowhere to be seen. Now a weakling with no form of hope or assistance, I reverted to my pathetic self.

"Now, then, let us finish this..."

Their arms were all pointed at me, ready to blast me to oblivion.

'I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I don't want to die!'

Myriads of thoughts bearing the same meaning pounded into my brain, but I knew it was all meaningless.

I was going to die.

That was certain!

[[G] System Update]

'... Uh...?'

[Searching For Alternative Routes For Survival]

"A-ahh..."

How could I have forgotten about my almighty (G) Factor?

Definitely, something was going to intervene! Even if my armies couldn't stop these Angels, this situation would work itself out.

[Unable To Find Any Possible Route]

'No....no...' I wanted to cry out loud.

Even with all the (G) Factor Points I had, couldn't anything be done?!

[(G) Factor Balance = 30]

[Not enough Balance To Resolve This Challenge]

How had my Points fallen so low? I clearly remembered it was still about 90 not long ago!

Did the useless army that was one-shotted take so much of my points? Even though they couldn't do shit!

[Searching for alternate ways to compensate]

>WHUUUUUSSSHHHHH<

The blinding light was ready to be launched, and I was anxiously waiting for a miracle.

[No Alternate ways found. Apologies. This situation is impossible]

That was the last straw that broke me.

So, after all my struggles... this was truly it?

Even though I did everything I could to stay alive, things were simply going to end here.

>FWWUUUUSSSSSSSHUUUU<

*********************

I didn't see anything after that.

The entire area went pure white, and I felt my body get consumed.

It was like I was being pulled—no, immersed into something.

The feeling was oddly familiar—yet it was a completely new experience.

And so, silence reigned for what seemed like an eternity.

It felt like time had become meaningless as I floated in an endless sea of white.

I was going to spend forever like this... or so I thought.

"Hey! Wake up!"

A strange voice roused me. For some reason, hearing it gave me shivers.

It was like my body couldn't forget the impression that voice had on it.

"Open your eyes!" My body trembled once again as I heard the sound

I was a coward by nature, so hearing a voice that commanded fear made me all the more determined to keep my eyes shut.

The voice called out to me at intervals, refusing to give up.

I wondered why they were so determined to make me open my eyes, but the combined trauma of death made me fear doing anything of the sort.

Rather than struggling with life or death, just peacefully drifting into a seemingly endless world was better.

However...

"Don't you want to know what happened to you?"

? ... Once I heard that, even before I could control myself, my eyes popped wide open.

"A-ahhh...?!"

I was expecting to see a horrid sight, or at least some being standing before me.

But, I saw nothing.

Literally an empty space.

It was covered in white throughout, and nothing could be seen for miles.

While being here, it felt like everything was meaningless. Somehow, being in this place felt familiar.

"Finally." The voice sounded, causing my skin to jump up.

It was a feminine voice, but I couldn't help but feel afraid when I heard it.

"Where are you? Who are you?" W-where am I?" My tone was impudent, but I surmised that if the person in question wanted to kill me, they would have done so already.

"Look above you."

Everything was pure white for as far as my eyes could see, but this voice suddenly told me to raise my face to the ceiling.

Obviously, it would be white as well—or so I thought.

Floating above me were multiple cubes, all having certain objects within them.

These cubes were in various shapes and sizes, all containing objects I was quite familiar with.

Houses, weapons, clothes, appliances, tools... people!

It was beginning to dawn on me. These boxes resembled 3D Models of what Subspace would look like.
