Chapter 672 Surprise call
Klaus' lips met Emma's in a soft touch, almost hesitant at first. It was a kiss full of promise and repressed emotions, a kiss that had been waiting a long time to happen.
Emma's heart seemed to beat so loudly that she was sure Klaus could hear it.
His lips were soft and warm, and she could taste the subtle strawberry lipstick she herself was wearing. Their hands met, trembling slightly with nervousness, before intertwining in a natural way. It was as if their bodies had found the perfect fit, like two pieces of a puzzle.
The kiss began gently, exploratory, as if they were both testing the waters. Klaus' lips moved with incredible gentleness, caressing hers lovingly. Emma responded with the same tenderness, allowing herself to sink into the moment.
And so the kiss, which began softly, soon became more passionate. Klaus' lips were warm, and Emma couldn't get enough of him. Her hands moved to Klaus' shoulders, then to his neck, holding him tenderly, and she climbed onto him, then he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her even closer. Klaus' hands slid delicately along the curve of Emma's waist, sending goose bumps across her skin. The closeness between them was unique for both of them, and she could feel the heat radiating from him, warming her from the outside in.
Gradually, the kiss deepened, and the passion they had both been harboring for so long finally found an outlet. Their tongues met in a slow, sensual dance, exploring every corner of each other's mouths. The sweet taste of the kiss matched the soft rhythm of the music that had begun to play in the room, creating a symphony of sensations.
Klaus caressed Emma's cheek with his thumb as he kissed her, a tender gesture that made her feel loved and desired. She could feel the intensity of his emotions through the kiss, a whirlwind of feelings that had been held in check for too long.
The kiss continued, with the tenderness between them growing by the second. Their lips moved with a certain avarice at one point, as if they were thirsty for each other. Emma let out a soft sigh, her breathing uneven as Klaus kissed her fervently. Their hands explored the contours of each other's bodies, tracing fiery paths. Klaus felt the gentle curve of Emma's back as she slid her hands down his broad shoulders. Every touch, every caress, was an expression of uncontainable desire.
The kiss became more urgent, more passionate. They gave themselves completely to the moment, forgetting everything and everyone. It was as if time had stopped and they were immersed in an ocean of sensations.
Finally, when they separated to catch their breath, their eyes met. There was a burning fire in them, a deep connection that transcended words. Klaus caressed Emma's face tenderly, his fingers tracing the outline of her lips, slightly swollen from the kiss.
"Klaus," she whispered, her voice hoarse with emotion. "I've wanted to do this for so long."
He smiled, his eyes shining with happiness. "Me too, Emma. Me too."
The moment between Klaus and Emma was electrically charged, and they were both breathing heavily.
Klaus leaned slowly towards Emma, his eyes fixed on hers, and Emma moved closer too, feeling the burning desire still burning inside her.
Their breaths mingled, and the space between them shrank until their noses almost touched. They could feel each other's heat, a heat that only increased the passion they shared at that moment. But then, just as they were about to touch again, Klaus' cell phone started ringing wildly, interrupting the magical moment they were about to share.
Klaus quickly picked up his cell phone and saw that it was a call from Andrew, another member of the guild. He answered, but his gaze remained fixed on Emma.
"Andrew, now is not a good time...", Klaus started to say, but his voice faltered when he noticed the quiet look in Emma's eyes.
Emma forced a smile, although she was clearly disconcerted by the interruption. "Klaus, you should take this. It must be important."
Klaus nodded reluctantly and turned to talk to Andrew, trying to concentrate on the conversation, although his heart was still racing from the intense kiss earlier.
While Klaus was busy on the phone, Emma took the opportunity to regain her composure. She got up from the sofa where they were and went to the tablet on the table where she could order drinks, giving Klaus space for his call. She felt a little uncomfortable, but she was also grateful for the intimate moment they had shared.
"Hello, Andrew. Did something happen?" Klaus asked, a little irritated.
"Klaus? Where are you? Did you happen to see the webnet? The Kingdom of Mibothen has disappeared from the map!"
Klaus got up from the sofa, very surprised. "What? What do you mean, man?"
"It's exactly what I said. The Mibothen Human Kingdom has literally disappeared, it's been wiped out. The cities, the players, the animals, the NPCs... everything has become a gigantic empty crater."
Klaus' heart, which was already racing, seemed to feel a pang, and Emma noticed the shocked expression on Klaus' face. Then, just as she was about to ask what happened, her cell phone rang too.
She looked at the screen and saw that it was a call from Dathan, the deputy leader of the Crimson Soldiers, the Rise Online guild to which she belonged. She answered immediately, worried about why Dathan was calling.
"Emma!" Dathan's voice sounded urgent on the other end of the line. "Are you all right?"
"Yes, I'm fine," Emma replied, although worry crept into her. "What's going on, Dathan? Why are you calling like that?"
"Something terrible has happened, Emma," said Dathan. "The Kingdom of Mibothen has disappeared from the game. It's been erased."
Emma's heart leapt. The same news Klaus had just received was now reaching her. "How... I mean, what happened?"
"We don't know for sure," replied Dathan. "We're trying to gather all the information we can, but it seems that something catastrophic has happened. Not only the Kingdom of Mibothen, but also several other smaller kingdoms have disappeared. We're in a state of shock here."
Emma felt a chill run down her spine. The magnitude of what was happening was difficult to comprehend. "What about our players? Was anyone on a mission there?"
Dathan sighed on the other end of the line. "Most of our players were on missions outside the Kingdom of Mibothen, and it seems that they weren't affected. However, Klank had been in Mibothen since the beginning of the week."
"Klank?!"
