Chapter 937: Gieneno versus Kaizen

While the battle between Zukas and Cephal still echoed through the forest, an even older and more powerful confrontation was about to reach its climax in a realm not far away.

The once serene sky was now marked by rifts of light and shadow, as if reality itself were in conflict. The land, once fertile and green, was now ravaged, marked by rock skulls and twisted trunks, silent witnesses to the titanic forces clashing there.

Kaizen, a warrior with intense eyes and silver hair that fell to his shoulders, raised his head and gazed at the distorted horizon. His black cloak flapped in the wind as if it were an extension of his own restless soul. He was panting, not from exhaustion, but from the excitement pulsing through his blood.

The feeling of being in the middle of a battle where everything was at stake, where every move, every decision could mean the difference between life and death, was intoxicating to him.

His opponent, Gieneno, was only a few meters away, surrounded by a glowing halo that resembled a heavenly crown. Gieneno was a slender figure with skin so pale that it radiated light in all directions. His eyes, two glowing orbs of pure light, stared at Kaizen with a mixture of respect and contempt.

A spear of pure light flickered in his hands, vibrating with an energy so dense it seemed to burn the air around him.

The two warriors had faced each other many times before, each battle a testament to their unwavering will. Kaizen, with the mystical power of a Psyker, controlled the forces of the universe with his mind, bending time and space to his will.

Gieneno, on the other hand, was a manipulator of light particles, capable of creating weapons and armor from pure light energy, as well as casting spells of terrifying magnitude.

Kaizen advanced first, his feet barely touching the ground as he glided across the battlefield. His hands began to glow with a spectral light as he channeled his energy, forming a series of orbs of psychic power around him. With a quick gesture, he threw the orbs at Gieneno, who didn't hesitate to raise his spear and fire a beam of light at the projectiles.

Kaizen did not stop. Gritting his teeth, he concentrated his energy even more, the psychic beams becoming more intense, more numerous, each carrying the fury of a thousand storms. The ground around Gieneno began to crumble under the immense pressure, but the shield of light stood firm, an impenetrable fortress against Kaizen's power.

"You cannot win, Kaizen!" shouted Gieneno through the thunder and lightning. "Light is invincible, it is the essence of creation! You, with your shadow and darkness, cannot defeat me!"

Kaizen smiled. He knew something Gieneno didn't. He wasn't trying to defeat the Shield of Light. He was waiting. Waiting for the right moment.

And then he felt it. A brief weakening in the flow of energy that fed Gieneno's shield. It was imperceptible, but for someone like Kaizen, who could feel the pulsations of the universe itself, it was enough.

With a swift movement, Kaizen dissipated the psychic rays and instead focused all of his energy into a single point. A black sphere formed in the palm of his hand, pulsating with energy so dense that it seemed to absorb the light around it.

Gieneno realized what was happening too late. Before he could react, Kaizen launched the energy ball directly at the weak spot in the light shield. The sphere struck the shield with brutal force, shattering it as if it were made of glass. The resulting explosion was devastating. The battlefield was engulfed in blinding light, and a shockwave ripped through everything around it.

When the light finally dissipated, Gieneno was on his knees, panting, his light armor shattered and his spear broken in half. He looked at Kaizen in disbelief, as if he couldn't believe what had just happened.

"How...?" Gieneno stammered, his voice filled with disbelief and pain.

Kaizen walked over to him, each step echoing in the deathly silence that now enveloped the battlefield. He looked at Gieneno with an expression that mixed respect and regret. "You have relied too much on your power, Gieneno. You forgot that even light can be bent, even light has shadows."

Gieneno tried to get up, but his body was exhausted after expending so much MP. He felt Kaizen's hand on his shoulder, firm but not hostile. "This is not the end, Gieneno, but today you lost."
