Our plant tower type machine kiln mainly produces slag silicate cement. In 1983, a 1.8-by-22-metre rotary dryer was installed. Through 8 years of operation, the output of the dryer was only 4 tons per hour and the consumption of coal was 0.1 tons per ton. When a fire is lit, the furnace door is sprayed with fire so badly that the operator is unable to operate it. In this case, the only thing to do was to install a small fan to blow into the furnace.
