TL: Moonlit
Lin Hanchuan had thought about what the room would look like. The best-case scenario was that both parties would be at peace, while the worst-case scenario was that Ran Xing would be harmed and the situation would be critical.
He never expected the scene inside the room to be like this.
In the surprisingly spacious study, two naked men were embracing each other, constantly posing in various positions. Ran Xing sat arrogantly in an octopus chair, legs crossed, holding a camera in his hand. He kept clicking the shutter and occasionally made comments.
“This pose is good, it’s exciting. Keep going,” Ran Xing urged impatiently after taking a photo. “Change the pose, hurry up…”
Before he could finish speaking, Ran Xing, who heard some noise, looked up and saw Lin Hanchuan standing at the door. The air became silent.
Everyone present was stunned.
The bodyguards, who had been knocked down by Lin Hanchuan, helped each other up and rushed into the room. “Mr. Yan, we didn’t intentionally let the Young Master come… in…”
For a while, no one moved or spoke. The room fell into complete silence.
Yan Minghui’s vision darkened, and he kicked the man on top of him away, shouting hoarsely, “Get out! All of you, get out!”
The bodyguards trembled and quickly retreated, trembling hands, and as they closed the door, someone couldn’t help but say, “We didn’t see anything!”
Yan Minghui was so angry that he almost fainted. The naked man who had been performing with Yan Minghui took the opportunity to leave the room. Yan Minghui’s hands trembled as if he had Parkinson’s disease, as he quickly put on his clothes.
Ran Xing, holding the camera, looked embarrassed. “Boss, I’m sorry, I didn’t… I didn’t mean to…”
Being caught by his boss taking explicit photos of his own father, Ran Xing wished he could go back in time and knock himself unconscious with a hammer. He would rather be the one being tied up and photographed here than have Lin Hanchuan see this scene.
“What’s going on?” Lin Hanchuan didn’t pay attention to Yan Minghui but instead asked Ran Xing.
Ran Xing hesitated and stuttered as he explained the situation.
When he was in the estate, several burly men in black suits surrounded him, intending to “invite” him as their guest. No matter how good Ran Xing was at fighting, he couldn’t defeat these dozens of professionally trained individuals. There was no one in the small garden’s restroom to ask for help.
In order to avoid physical pain, Ran Xing willingly followed them, only to discover later that the person who “invited” him was Yan Minghui himself.
“He found a gigolo and wanted to take explicit photos of me to use as leverage,” Ran Xing roughly explained Yan Minghui’s plan, “and then he would ruin my face, so I couldn’t make it in the entertainment industry.”
Lin Hanchuan clenched his fists tightly, and even the eavesdropping 001 cursed loudly in his mind: [This scum! He’s too despicable!]
“Are you okay?” Lin Hanchuan carefully observed Ran Xing, his voice hoarse.
“I’m fine.” Speaking of this, Ran Xing couldn’t help but feel a bit proud. He raised an eyebrow, smiled, and waved the camera in his hand. “My first specialty is acting, and the second specialty is fighting.”
Yan Minghui’s scheme, which couldn’t bear the light, led him to bring Ran Xing to the soundproof study. But he never expected that Ran Xing was not a rose nurtured under a glass cover; he was a wild rose that had weathered the wind and rain.
The soundproof study, which had the best sound insulation, had instead become Yan Minghui’s hell.
Without the threat of bodyguards, Yan Minghui, a long-established, delicate CEO, and a hollowed-out gigolo who indulged in wine and lust were no match for Ran Xing. Ran Xing simply stripped them both and swiftly took pictures of them.
At this point, the situation had been decided.
“I took the photos, and he backed down,” Ran Xing recounted the course of events and suppressed his satisfaction. He stole a glance at Lin Hanchuan’s expression and tentatively suggested, “Should I delete the photos…?”
“Delete them!” Yan Minghui put his clothes back on, reverting to the high and mighty CEO. However, his pale face and bloodshot eyes betrayed his unstable emotions. “I’ll give you anything you want, just delete the photos!”
“No need.” It wasn’t Ran Xing who spoke, but Lin Hanchuan.
“What do you mean?” Yan Minghui, who had lost face on this day, gritted his teeth and glared fiercely at Lin Hanchuan.
Lin Hanchuan ignored him and said to Ran Xing, “Keep the photos. With these photos, he won’t dare to lay a finger on you again.”
Yan Minghui had completely crossed Lin Hanchuan’s bottom line with his actions today. Lin Hanchuan had previously considered the original owner’s feelings towards his family and had never taken drastic measures against Yanshi Film Industry. But now… all his previous leniency, in Yan Minghui’s eyes, appeared as incompetence.
Many thoughts flashed through Lin Hanchuan’s mind as he heard Yan Minghui’s arrogant voice.
“As long as he destroys the photos, I’m willing to accept him as part of the Yan family.”
Arrogant in tone, as if granting a favor, Lin Hanchuan suddenly looked up and gazed at Yan Minghui. “No need.”
“You see yourself as an emperor, controlling everyone, including your own son,” Lin Hanchuan coldly stated. “In your eyes, your son shouldn’t have an independent personality. He is the continuation of your life, your possession… The reason you accepted the previous Qiu Hongguang was simply because you didn’t care about your son.”
“You’re only controlling Qiu Hongguang to achieve your ultimate goal of completely controlling your own son.”
Each word struck at the heart, as Lin Hanchuan tore off the veil of peace.
He had initially considered carrying out the mission seriously, after all, no one wanted to die. But after living with the Yan family for a while, he felt suffocated.
Under the powerful control of Yan Weilou’s parents, Yan Weilou was like a puppet on a string, devoid of any independent thoughts. Within the confines approved by the Yan family, Yan Weilou was the sole heir, the aloof CEO. However, as soon as he had the thought of “straying,” Yan Minghui would go to great lengths to suppress Yan Weilou’s psyche.
Over the years, Yan Weilou himself had come to believe that his “filial piety” was voluntary, his genuine intention. Little did he know that his wings had long been clipped, and he had become a pet hawk unable to fly.
“You!” Yan Minghui trembled with anger at this long tirade. “How dare you speak to me like this!”
Lin Hanchuan cast a deep look at him, turned around with Ran Xing, and started walking away. A glimmer of fierceness flashed in Yan Minghui’s eyes, and he shouted directly, “Stop them! Destroy the camera!”
If it weren’t for murder being a crime, Yan Minghui would have even considered killing them, erasing everything that happened today!
“Boss…” Ran Xing instinctively shielded Lin Hanchuan behind him and faced the menacing bodyguards.
Lin Hanchuan casually rolled up his sleeves, and as he did, the bodyguards couldn’t help but take a step back, still haunted by their recent experience.
“What are you all doing? Destroy the camera for me!”
Yan Minghui’s urgent voice made the bodyguards hesitate to retreat further. Everyone exchanged glances, clenched their teeth, and charged at Ran Xing.
Nonsense, they definitely targeted the weakest links. The bodyguards were not fools either, silently cursing as they aimed their fists at Ran Xing. They thought their punches, which usually had a high success rate, would easily hit him, but Ran Xing effortlessly dodged them.
Ran Xing couldn’t match the strength of the burly bodyguards, but he was agile and unpredictable in his movements. He targeted the most sensitive and vulnerable areas, using ruthless and despicable techniques that made people shudder just by watching.
With the fighting skills he learned from street brawls, coupled with Lin Hanchuan’s decisive and professional boxing skills by his side, the two stood back to back, relying on each other. It didn’t take long before they had everyone on the ground.
Rubbing his fists, Lin Hanchuan finally turned around and glanced at Yan Minghui standing at the study room door, narrowing his eyes in an unreadable manner.
Over twenty people were defeated by just two individuals! Yan Minghui angrily berated, “You useless bunch! I spend hundreds of thousands on you every month, what good are you for!”
The bodyguards, with their swollen faces and bruised bodies, turned their heads with embarrassed expressions. Suddenly, one person sneered, “If you think you’re capable, why don’t you go and…”
The insult was left unfinished, but its meaning was clear. Yan Minghui’s expression changed repeatedly, and in his frustrated anger, a sense of panic and fear inexplicably emerged. He thought of the look Lin Hanchuan gave him when he turned around, and it sent shivers down his spine.
Under this pressure, he didn’t dare to directly fire the bodyguards. He could only vent his helpless rage by stomping his feet and cursing loudly.
After leaving Yan Minghui’s villa, Ran Xing and Lin Hanchuan sat in the car. Lin Hanchuan remained silent for a while and suddenly laughed, appearing relaxed and happy. “I didn’t know you could fight.”
Ran Xing glanced at him and couldn’t help but curl his lips. It was only at this moment that he finally felt his heart returning to his chest. “I learned a little before.”
Casually tossing the camera that Yan Minghui had been so obsessed with into the glove compartment, Ran Xing’s eyes gleamed. “I thought I was good at fighting, but it turns out you’re even better! You’re amazing, you can do anything…”
As they drove away, the car window carried on with endless admiration and praise.
Ran Xing seemed unharmed, and he had exacted his revenge. He even made it the most embarrassing day in Yan Minghui’s history. However, Lin Hanchuan was not willing to let this matter be easily dismissed.
After dropping off Ran Xing at the film set, Lin Hanchuan went straight back to the office of Starlight Entertainment. Two people had been waiting there for a long time.
Seeing Lin Hanchuan, everyone in the room greeted him, “Mr. Yan.”
Ignoring them, Lin Hanchuan sat directly in his seat, his expression extremely cold, his eyes icy. “Is everything ready?”
“It’s all ready,” one of them quickly answered, “I’ve put all the evidence into an anonymous email and set it to send at a specific time.”
Another person chimed in, “Once this email is sent, it will cause a major upheaval in the entertainment industry. Yanshi Film Industry will definitely experience a major earthquake.”
Lin Hanchuan snorted coldly and asked, “What about Yan Minghui? Is there enough evidence against him?”
The two individuals exchanged glances, somewhat puzzled as to why their boss wanted to completely destroy his own biological father. But they didn’t dare to speculate about the secrets of the wealthy families. They simply nodded and said, “Unless something unexpected happens, he should…”
Only then did Lin Hanchuan reveal a slightly satisfied expression, tapping his fingers on the desk. “Make sure to clean up the loose ends.”
The two subordinates left the office, and Lin Hanchuan leaned back in his chair, rubbing his throbbing temples.
Three days later, Yan Minghui was taken away for investigation due to tax evasion. The entire entertainment industry was shocked, and within half an hour of his arrest, the news spread like wildfire, dominating the top trending topics on social media.
Everyone was shocked when they saw the amount of tax evasion by the Yanshi Film Industry.
