Chapter 17
It was a sunny day when Kou Li promised to take Kou Sen to the amusement park on the weekend. Originally it was just the two of them, father and son, but “Bian Yi” had already prepared himself and was waiting for them. The man avoided Kou Li’s gaze and approached Kou Sen, softly asking the child if he wanted to play with him – clearly, he already knew the right way to deal with Kou Li.
The two fathers went to play with him together, and Kou Sen was naturally very happy. Kou Li kept holding Kou Sen’s hand and didn’t give “Bian Yi” a chance to come near. The man’s face stiffened and he went to buy two cotton candies, one pink and one blue. He handed the blue one to Kou Sen while keeping the pink one for himself. Every time he took a bite, he intentionally or unintentionally looked at Kou Li, licking his tongue and lightly biting his teeth. This obvious attempt to seduce him almost made Kou Li unable to resist kicking him away. But he managed to hold back and looked away.
Only in that one glance and he stopped; he saw Bian Yi’s figure in the large crowd a hundred meters away. But it seemed like it was just his illusion, as “Bian Yi” had squeezed up to him and the pink cotton candy obstructed Kou Li’s view. He urgently pushed “Bian Yi” away, but when he looked back into the crowd, Bian Yi’s figure had already disappeared. It seemed like it was just another one of his illusions. But for some reason, Kou Li’s heart was pounding like a drum. He felt like this was not an illusion.
“Bian Yi” pouted at him and wanted to get closer to him. This time Kou Li couldn’t hold back and gave him a hard slap, knocking him down. Then he rushed into the crowd, with Kou Sen crying from being frightened.
For the entire day, Kou Li went crazy in the amusement park, looking for Bian Yi everywhere, but there was no sign of him. The surveillance cameras were almost turned over, but they couldn’t see any trace of Bian Yi. Everything seemed like an illusion.
…
Kou Li walked a few steps away with Kou Sen in his arms, then suddenly stopped. He turned around anxiously, and because of his sudden movement, his vision blurred for a moment. When he saw Bian Yi sitting on the bench with his eyes closed, he quickly walked back, almost tripping over his own feet. Finally, he stopped in front of the bench and carefully looked at Bian Yi, his heart slowly calming down.
It was real. It was not an illusion.
Kou Li wanted to laugh, but his face was stiff, so he could only use this unnatural expression and say to Bian Yi, “Let’s go together when you’re rested.” Bian Yi looked at him, and the man’s emotions were actually very easy to capture.
And this kind of scene also hinted that in his last life when he escaped, Kou Li might have seen him too. But what use was that?
He didn’t come to save him.
What Bian Yi hated most about Kou Li was not his betrayal, but that he wasn’t the one who saved him, and he hated that Kou Li didn’t protect Xiao Shu.
Perhaps Kou Li had tried to save him, but he couldn’t crack the space of the system and couldn’t find where that space was, so he couldn’t save him.
If Bian Yi were still normal, he wouldn’t blame Kou Li, after all, this was beyond what an ordinary person could handle.
But every day he was trapped there, he had countless times put his hope on Kou Li, and countless times he was disappointed and fell into despair. The agony of repeated shattered hope had turned into another emotion.
Hatred, how natural it was.
Bian Yi pinched his palm and regained some clarity, nodding and smiling, “Sure.”
In the week since returning from E Island, Bian Yi had already negotiated with the Revenge System, and he wanted to exchange for something that would kill the Anti-Matching Self-Salvation System, but his system did not respond to his trade. After asking many times, it only repeated a few words, “Kou Li.”
At first, Bian Yi thought the system did not intend to be an enemy of the Anti-Matching System, it just wanted to get something from Kou Li. But he thought again, he had already come out of that space, which in itself represented the hostile relationship between the two systems. If he could kill the other side, there would be one less plunderer.
Therefore, Bian Yi suspected that the Revenge System’s repetition of “Kou Li” was not reminding him of the task near Kou Li, but rather saying that the method to kill the Anti-Matching System was on Kou Li.
Isn’t this another irony? If Kou Li really had a way to kill the system, he wouldn’t have been imprisoned in that space for sixteen years.
Bian Yi lowered his eyes and chuckled softly again.
Bian Yi calmly played with Xiao Shu all day, and Kou Li seemed calm too.
When they returned home, all the furniture in sight had already been replaced with new ones.
Xiao Shu was taken back to the room to change clothes, and Bian Yi walked around and looked at the new furniture that had actually been replaced shortly after he returned. Kou Li followed him.
After returning to the room, Bian Yi couldn’t help it anymore.
As soon as Kou Li closed the door, he heard Bian Yi challenging him from behind, “What, everything else has been changed, why not the door?”
Kou Li looked down at the door handle with some confusion in his eyes, “The door?”
Bian Yi shrugged and laughed, “Yeah. Didn’t you ask Uncle Hua to replace everything that Xi Peng touched in the house? Why didn’t you replace this door, this wall, and the glass in the bathroom together?”
These places…
Kou Li quickly understood what Bian Yi was talking about. He turned around and stood up straight, looking straight into Bian Yi’s eyes.
Sure enough, there was another heart-wrenching sentence from this person’s mouth.
“After all, you and him have done it in all these places, right? You want me to turn a blind eye, but why did you leave the dirtiest thing behind?” Bian Yi crossed his arms and looked at him, sneering, then turned around and prepared to walk toward the bathroom.
Unexpectedly, as soon as he turned halfway, his wrist was grabbed by someone.
Bian Yi immediately broke free, but the hand holding his wrist suddenly exerted force, and he was pulled over.
With a “bang,” Bian Yi’s back hit the door he had called dirty.
Bian Yi winced in pain, frowning and staring at the man with a serious face.
“Dirty? I’ve only done it with you,” Kou Li half-squinted his eyes. “What did you see?”
Bian Yi snorted coldly, not intending to answer this man’s question. He bent his right leg and used his other hand to strike fiercely at the man suppressing him.
But Kou Li’s reaction was very fast. He quickly grabbed Bian Yi’s hand and moved his left knee, throwing aside the leg that Bian Yi had raised, and forcefully pressing him against the door panel.
The distance between them became close again. Kou Li almost pressed his entire body on Bian Yi, and their rough breaths could intertwine with each other.
Bian Yi turned his face away first.
However, this action inexplicably angered Kou Li.
Without warning, Kou Li, with his eyes turning red, fiercely kissed Bian Yi’s lips.
With this action, the back of Bian Yi’s head hit the door, and the pain made him dazed for half a second. Then, his heart suddenly felt like it was on fire, burning fiercely.
Bian Yi began to fight back, but unfortunately, his hands and feet were restrained by Kou Li, and even his head was shamelessly pressed against the door by the man, so he could only use that one area to resist.
As expected, Kou Li was bitten, but he didn’t seem to feel any pain. Instead, he pressed down harder on Bian Yi, making it difficult for him to breathe.
But how could Bian Yi give in?
There was some noise coming from the bedroom upstairs, and Uncle Hua was hesitating at the top of the stairs. He didn’t know if the two were fighting in the room or “fighting.”
In the past, he would have ignored it and pretended he was old and deaf and couldn’t hear anything. But now the situation was different. Since Young Master Yi came back, the relationship between the two had been tense. Although nothing had happened in the past few days, it still made people uneasy, afraid that they would explode at any moment.
Uncle Hua was a little worried, so he finally went upstairs. He had only taken a couple of steps down the hallway when the bedroom suddenly fell silent – there was no strange knocking on the door, but he could hear faint voices.
The voices were not very loud and didn’t sound like they were arguing.
Uncle Hua breathed a sigh of relief, but he didn’t go back downstairs. He stood at the top of the stairs in case the door made a noise again, so he could quickly run over and knock on it.
Inside the room, Kou Li licked the wound on his tongue that was caused by Bian Yi’s bite. He looked down at Bian Yi, who was breathing heavily in his arms. He loosened his grip on the man’s body a little and used his thumb to wipe the blood off Bian Yi’s lips, then supported the unsteady man with one hand.
Perhaps the rough, almost animalistic kiss had allowed the two of them to vent some of their emotions, and they had become a little less crazy.
At this moment, Kou Li repeated what he had said before: “I’ve never been with him, in either this life or the last.”
He looked at Bian Yi, who had lowered his gaze, and continued, “I only have you.”
Bian Yi opened his hand, which Kou Li had been using to wipe his lips, and chuckled softly.
It was the trap of the “only you” tenderness again.
He had intended to argue, but he heard Kou Li continue, “I’ve never let him touch Xiao Shu. What you saw there was fake.”
