Up until now Pencilgton was only hiding and answering the Lucas’s attacks only if she was directly threatened. But now he must have been so confused since even though he was a Pro Gamer, she threw caution to the wind and went on the offensive.
If I was the one to face an opponent like that, I would be confused as hell for sure. Especially since with all the chaos going around there was no time to properly analyze the behavior of the mad Villain.
「Why don’t we put on a nice show!? WAKE UP!!」
「You’d use your gauge here!?」
In the comic book “Hydro Hands”, Clock Fire used a huge bomb to blow up the fire station where the protagonist used to work.
A large, clown-shape bomb goes high into the air where it blows up, scattering smaller clown-shape bombs all over the place and causing them to detonate on the spot, creating even more chaos and destruction.
From the scale of that attack it must be something similar to Clock Fire’s ultimate move here in Galaxia Heroes: Chaos. There is no way for Lucas to be able to escape from an attack like that.
She must have earned enough gauge for that from all that building collapsing earlier, since most of the NPCs have gone somewhere for this round. But since you can earn your Villain gauge from destroying the buildings alone, NPCs are not as essential as you might think.
「But I regret to inform you that I already know the move set of every character in this game!」
It’s just like we thought. Just as we made sure to make some precautions against Star Rain, they did the same thing. They also investigated the moves of every character to be able to counter them if need be. Clock Fire’s “Wake Up Clown” rains bombs over a large area, but it has one blind spot where you can avoid it.
「Overhead is the safe spot!」
Since the smaller bombs are jam-packed inside of the clown’s belly, due to the nature of this attack there are hardly any bombs being thrown over the clown’s head.
Attacks like that are the ultimate weapons when you give up on finding Chaos Cube and just want to be done with your enemy. They span over a large area and deal some serious damage. You can’t avoid them completely, but the least you can do is to try and minimalize the damage.
Dr. Sandalphone has only a few seconds to react before the clown bomb explodes and it will be all over. So he decided to use the gauge technique that greatly enhances his physical abilities, jumping power included.
「HA! You shouldn’t rush towards the climax!」
His action was met with a nasty smile.
「Ahh, too impatient to settle it.」
While looking at the smiling Pencilgton on the screen, I cannot help it but to sympathize with Lucas. Sure, his judgement was not wrong. It was the right thing to do in order to reduce the incoming damage.
But why would she destroy the buildings like Dominos? Why not go for Jenga instead? Not realizing the answer to that was the reason for his downfall.
「So that was your plan from the very beginning…… No, really, are you fucking sh*tting me!?」
The large screen mainly focuses on Pencilgton’s battle against Lucas. However, how many people realized that right on the edge of the screen the falling buildings managed to reach the huge stadium and collapsed right in the middle of it, splitting it in half like a watermelon.
But even if you weren’t able to spot that, there was a solution right here in front of your eyes. Namely: Pencilgton’s Villain gauge.
「Is that a freaking bug or what!? The gauge of Player No Name…… IS not dropping at all!?」
「No, it is decreasing, but since the destruction and chaos all around is so tremendous, it just get replenished so fast that it looks like not decreasing……」
Are you watching properly, world? Are you watching properly, developers? It’s not a bug, but rather a small glitch, but you’d better fix it ASAP.
「I named it “Gauge Burst”.」
The despair of NPCs is something from which laughing clowns can benefit greatly.
