Domain.

An exclusive technique that had the power to ruin the hierarchy of the world.

Creating a domain means creating personal space. A person having their domain had the power to bend the rules of space, and eventually the world itself.

This not only gave the person immeasurable power but also the authority to break the rules of that world.

There were infinite things that no one knew about the creation of worlds but one thing was known to everyone for sure and that was that every world had a certain set of rules.

Rules like gravity, where every object has to abide by this law.

Domain was the ability to stand against those rules and create its own rules and authority.

Robert had this power just because of sheer luck and coincidence.

"I must say…" Robert looked at his hand where he had lost two fingers, his index, and middle finger.

He lost the hilt of his sword as well.

"That technique of yours is unique…"

Logan wasn't unscathed either.

Robert's two fingers had sliced his left arm before getting chopped.

"Tsk, now this is annoying," Robert said while clicking his tongue.

On the other hand, Logan was calm. Why did Logan sacrifice his entire left arm for Robert's two fingers?

Because the <God of War> suggested it.

Earlier, when Robert had grabbed Logan by the neck, he tried to locate his core and found it on the left side of his chest.

When Robert's fingers came closer, <God of War> suggested sacrificing his Left arm and taking down Robert's three fingers.

Logan missed the third finger but was successful in taking down the two.

Robert's domain which troubled Logan started fading.

"Tsk… troublesome than I thought…" Now Robert was not enjoying this. His motive was to torment Logan and take every bit of information from him. But after what happened now, changed his plans.

The reason Logan cut his two fingers was the artifacts on them. Artifacts that were enchanted with magic runes had a limit.

Robert was wearing three magic rings that were recovering his mana at an astronomical rate, he was barely able to hold the domain and fight with his limited mana.

Thus the three rings helped him to recover mana at a faster rate. But now his recovery rate was returned to normal.

Although he wasn't worried about his lost fingers or Logan, he was still furious about Logan being able to fight decently and cut his two fingers.

'When did he notice my rings?' The reason he wore black clothes was that every artifact on his body was in some way or the other related to his affinity with shadows and mana recovery.

The rings under his gloves were hardly noticeable.

Specifically, the correct fingers on which he could put them.

Robert was curious to know more about Logan.

Logan on the other hand was in a little pain.

Unlike the OP protagonists who could bear any pain as long as they had their systems and protagonist's halo, Logan was different.

He felt two emotions, anger and betrayal.

Anger for losing his arm, and betrayed by his skill's actions. This was the first time that <God of War> had suggested some consequences with it.

Losing an arm was a big deal for him.

Why?

A living body is symmetrical and balanced. Because of losing an arm, the balance of the body gets disturbed.

The symmetric structure gets disturbed and if any of the parts lose symmetry, the center of gravity for the given body changes.

Logan had never lost any of his organs in a battle of any sort. Thus, this pain was excruciating, even for him, a demon.

Suddenly, to lessen the pain, adrenaline rushed through his body.

His breathing ragged and his blood started boiling.

Every limb in his body cried in pain as his muscles started budging. Unconsciously, his body started growing like a balloon, as of it was going to burst.

"Haaa…. Ha…." He did not shout, but his pupils turned blood red.

Veins budged on his demonic body. Using his anger to boost his strength, Logan used berserk. A basic demon trait. But unlike what one would expect, he remained stationed and did not attack like a berserk barbarian.

"You… why aren't you attacking…?" Robert was dumbfounded.

'Can he really control his emotions… in an angered state?' He was a demon hunter with great feats. But he had yet to see a demon able to stay calm even in his berserk state.

"Blood…" That was all Robert heard before something hard hit his face.

Boom!

Logan picked up his arm and tossed it inside a storage ring. With another swift movement, he picked up Gazel's sword lying on the floor.

Robert was sent flying with his single punch.

Although his head was fuzzy and he couldn't make any move properly, Logan was still trusting the <God of War>.

According to it, Logan had an advantage and a single move was required to end Robert's life.

But there was one problem.

Logan could not use a sword without his right hand.

If he wanted to use his signature move, <Spiritual Sword>, he needed his right hand for it.

'Just what should I do..?' Logan was contemplating.

He didn't know what he should do to not miss this opportunity.

He had been fighting with Robert only for a few minutes but he could see that if he did not finish Robert then he was doomed.

Robert had a peculiar past.

He was half-human.

His other half-race… he avoided mentioning it.

From childhood, he was mocked for it.

That was why he kept his distance from people.

"If you join the demon hunter association, you will be able to shut those mocking mouths." Someone suggested him.

He wanted to ignore that advice but his heart did not.

And that was when he did the greatest mistake of his life.

He trusted.

He trusted beasts who wanted nothing but to exploit his powers.

Being a half-creature of darkness, he was able to get something useful for everyone.

<Shadow> affinity.

This attracted a lot of unwanted attention but Robert wasn't worried.

If they killed him unnecessarily, then they will lose a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have the rarest elemental affinity.

<Shadow> was a part of Darkness, however, the <Shadow> was not a matter like darkness. It was a very reflection.

Robert was able to get such an advanced power because of the blood he cursed all of his life.

When he was on an expedition of exploring an ancient tomb, he found a broken chest, and inside of it was a book that had a single technique.

He thought himself lucky, but his team had different plans for him.

Betrayed by them in a feat of greed, he fought against the entire expedition party.

His half-blood had one more trait and that was quick understanding.

It was then that he read half of the technique on the spot from whatever he could read.

That was Domain.

He brazenly used Domain and killed the entire party but lost the book in between.

Domain technique was half learned.

Because of this, he was met with backlashes.

First was the mana that drained like crazy.

The second was the amount required to maintain the domain.

The third was the mental strain he had to bear to keep the domain open for even a second was horrible.

"This doesn't make any sense…" Robert muttered as he coughed some blood.

The reason behind his arrogance and strength was getting crushed by a lowly demon.

Robert wasn't giving up either.

So what that he lost in mana and strength?

His biggest asset, his intelligence was still intact.

"You are paying for this…" He said and suddenly the space around him distorted.

"Ha….!" He shouted and pulled something out of thin air.

Bam!

"Ugh!" Unexpected… Even in his dreams, Logan never expected that Robert will pull out something like this.

"I admit I underestimated you… Though I expected something interesting from you… But now… You must die!" Robert blurted out things similar to a third-grade villain.

His body writhing in pain must've driven him crazy.

The thing in his hand was similar to a gun… Shotgun…

"Fucking hell…" Logan snorted as he felt the particles of something crawling on his skin.

"A demon hunter always carries a gun, you didn't know?"

How could Logan know the customs of demon hunters?

But this gun did not look omnipotent either.

"Though it needs mana stones for every shot… It's still worth it if it can kill you…" Shotguns did not have an accurate point of contact but they were still useful.

Because of this, the stone that had busted earlier did not reach Logan's core and killed him.

"It hurts…" Logan said. His steps were sluggish.

His battle had been ridiculous.

Earlier when he used a spiritual sword, Robert was injured pretty badly, but now the tables turned.

This was similarly effective to mana bombs, no wonder these people were fearless.

Demon hunters surely had this trump card well hidden under their sleeves.

Mustering his entire strength Logan leaped and pounced at Robert.

He needed to complete this quest of his survival, and if he did not then his death was the least good outcome he could think of.

Boom! Bam! Bam!

He punched Robert three times.

Robert was half-dead at this point.

The punches had made him lose consciousness.

Logan pulled his sword and shoved it inside his heart.

Spurt!

Robert died…

But his troubles did not stop there.

Booooom!

A loud explosion was heard from afar.

"Ah…" Logan realized.

His troops and his subordinates…

He needed to fix his arm and then only he could fight, but there was no time.

He dashed toward the direction…

Leaving Robert's dead body lying on the ground.

Little did he know how bad this decision was…

"Where are we heading, Kevin?" A voice filled with a little panic asked.

"Can't you keep your mouth shut for even a minute?" Kevin said in annoyance.

"Just answer him so he won't ask again." Jin glanced at Thomas and said.

Since the time they'd escaped the academy and arrived here, Thomas was asking questions to Kevin again and again.

Kevin sighed and finally answered.

"I sensed two strong auras. If I am not mistaken one of them was a demon."

"Have you become strong enough to guess the race from their spiritual energy?!" Thomas gasped.

When they entered the battlefield all they saw was a body that died in black blood lying on the floor.

Although it was dead, it was still emitting an aura.
