Chapter 84 - An Epic Grade Item

Viscount Dorstone looked completely different from before. He was now kneeling on the floor in front of his new master. Jake had put everything the viscount brought into his inventory except for the gourd.

He was examining the light green fluid inside with [Demon Eye].

[Item Name: Life Elixir]

[Item Grade: Epic (???)]

[Description: Secreted from the Yag Fruit of Tree of Life, one of the seven trees connected to the World Tree. It gives unlimited youth to the consumer and is the cure to aging. Capable of making elderly into young children, a wilted flower into a spring tree and even stopping the decay of rotting skeletons… This treasure has been misjudged as the Elixir of Immortality by many. It is not, but still sought after by mortals.]

Jake’s first reaction was to [Store] it and then rejoice internally. He did just that, without showing it on his face. However, he soon realized that he didn’t really need this.

He could live forever on mana alone and wouldn’t experience aging. He could die if someone pierced his heart or cut off his head, but a normal, mortal death wasn’t possible for him.

‘I already have unlimited youth,’ Jake thought. Still, this was the first time he had laid his eyes and hands on an Epic grade item.

This would be extremely useful in various cases. Like preventing his most powerful subordinates from dying because of aging. Or keeping the youth of his sex dolls. Jake was a selfish man, and everything he gave to those under him was for his own purpose.

”Stand up,” he said after storing the gourd.

Jake then informed both Dorstone and Leo about the dangerous necromancer who was targeting nobles. These two were his useful pawns. Until he conquered Karsuda, he wanted them alive.

‘Actually, that necromancer will be quite useful in wars or sieges…’ A scheming glint appeared in Jake’s eyes suddenly.

The two men in front of him didn’t catch it.

Boom!

A large villa exploded and undead warriors swarmed the location. The zombies began biting the noble servants whose lord appeared from a basement, unharmed. A strange white sphere shielded him. Beside him, two paladins stood with unsheathed swords.

”Countess Minerva…” They were both shocked, just like Baron Bell.

After learning about the count’s death, the priestesses stationed there had sent an emergency warning through a divine medium.

These two paladins rushed from the Karsuda Diocese to intercept the necromancer. They hadn’t thought that this new trouble which even irked the main bishop was the noble countess all along.

”Hahahaha! You two stand no chance against me!” Minerva laughed chaotically and stretched pale hand.

As she began chanting, the 4th Circle paladins immediately zoomed past the baron. Their swords and shields glowed with golden lights as they cut through the horde of skeletons.

However, magic circles appeared, and more skeletons sprouted from the ground. All mages among the undead began targeting them with ice spells. The terrifying power of 50+ mages acting at once even made these paladins sweat.

Thankfully, they had great wills, and they didn’t stop.

‘Hmph, fools.’ Minerva suddenly pointed at the sky, and a huge magic circle appeared, illuminating the night sky.

”Iron Maiden!”

A humongous prison construct made of bones descended on the two paladins. They looked above, eyes wide at the terrifying power in that spell.

”This… this is not a 4th Circle Spell…”

The next day, outside the dungeon.

”Tch Tch, a pity,” Jake clicked his tongue and shook his head in disappointment.

”I’m sorry master, I didn’t know she had a disease.”

The Dark Knight knelt on the floor, looking at the dead woman in front of his master. Haley Dorstone, the viscount’s wife was dead. It seemed she had woken up midway in the carriage and died of a heart attack.

”Oh, well.” Jake turned around and looked below at the dark dungeon.

”Fweeee!” he blew a whistle with all his strength. The two girls still unconscious on the carriage twitched.

Ash covered his ears and stood up. After a few moments, sounds of wings flapping came from the dungeon.

Iona, the harpy flew out and landed on her talons in front of Jake. Her previously swollen belly now looked normal. It appeared she and the other harpies had laid their eggs. Now it would take about three to four months for a baby harpy to be born.

The process of reproduction among these creatures was fast. They also grew fast. In about two to three years, the babies would become adults.

”Take this dead body to Irene,” Jake ordered Iona.

His witch was asking for a corpse to experiment on these days. She wanted to make a kind of slime which fed on flesh to become stronger.

”As you wish, master!” Iona grabbed the woman’s corpse with her talons and flapped her wings. She went inside the dungeon again, leaving a powerful gust of wind.

”So then, how is a beastkin here?” Jake casually asked, carrying both girls out of the carriage.

”The viscount was fostering her, master,” The Dark Knight respectfully replied from behind.

”Was he? Interesting…” Jake put the human girl and the wolf girl on his shoulders and used flight to descend.

He told Ash to bring the carriage and the horses before disappearing in the creepy darkness.

He already had a stable inside his dungeon. The few women he kidnapped from the villages took care of it.

On the way, Jake saw the gnomes laying more traps in the dungeon. He also saw that the kobolds had mined a sizable amount of iron ores on the 15th floor.

‘Master, welcome back!’ Lena’s voice crackled in his left ear.

‘…I only went out for a while.’

‘More women?’

The moment Jake replied, she became a chatterbox and began asking questions.

‘Master, how does sex feel?’ She asked in a cute voice.

Jake was on the 18th floor by then.

‘Is it like flying? Is it exciting?’

‘…I’ll let you know after your body grows up.’ Jake said as he put the unconscious girls on individual beds inside the guest chamber.
