I waited for Tobise-san to finish changing before I went back into the staff room to change.
I thought I was coming here just for an interview, I didn’t expect to end up working for the rest of the evening.
I changed into my normal clothes and left the staff room.
“Manager, I shall be leaving ahead.”
“Got it. Your next shift is on Monday after school, okay?”
“Yes, of course.”
“Good, that will be helpful. Well then, have a safe trip.”
“Thank you very much.”
After that I left the shop.
Haah, It’s been a while since I had a part-time shop, I was quite nervous the entire time so I was feeling a bit tired.
With that in mind, I started stretching my hands.
“Tsukasa-kun!”
“Eh?!”
Suddenly, a strange voice popped out beside me.
“Fufu, you made a funny sound.”
“Tobise-san? You haven’t left yet?”
Tobise-san gave me a smile when she heard the sound I made earlier.
She should have changed her clothes and left already though, why is she still here?
“Which way is your house Tsukasa-kun?”
“Straight out of the coffee shop to the right.”
“Good, we’re going in the same direction. Shall we go?”
“…yes”
Apparently she was waiting for me.
We were walking together side by side.
“I wouldn’t have minded if you’d have gone home first, you know?”
“Ehh, even though we just started working together? I’d be lonely, you know.”
Tobise-san said whilst pouting and looking dissatisfied.
Even though she was older than me, she still looked very cute and retained a childish element in her personality, which should be expected from someone that came second on the popularity poll.
“I heard that we’ll be working a lot of shifts together in the future, so let’s hang in there!”
“Hai! I look forward to working with you in the future.”
“You’re so stiff, Tsukasa-kun. You can talk with me more casually, you know. Come on, think of me as your Onee-san.”
“No-no, That’s a bit difficult…”
Even trying to deal with this person for the sake of dealing with this person is difficult, I have no idea how to deal with her.
This person has arrived way too early.
She’s not supposed to be acquainted with Tsukasa Hisamura yet.
That’s because Tsukasa Hisamura in the original manga didn’t exactly have a manga so there was no way he could have met her in the part-time job.
In other words, because I started working, I met this person before she appeared on the main scene.
But me coming to this world has already led to me and Sei-chan dating. Something that was completely impossible in the original work.
Tojoin-san and Fujise-san have already confessed to Yuuichi too.
So I don’t think I should care about sticking to the original work anymore and just try to get involved with her a little.
“So you’re in your second year of high-school Tsukasa-kun? That’s the best time period. You are more used to school than your first year, and you don’t have to worry about exams like you do in your third year.”
“That’s true, I think most events will be based around the second year students.”
“Yes, I know! When I was in my second year of high school, I went on a school trip too. I think our school was either Kyoto or Okinawa, but I wonder which one Tsukasa-kun and the others will be going to…”
Tobise-san was smiling and in a good mood.
She was laughing and smiling all the time, This must be the usual for Tobise-san.
“Speaking of which, why did you start working part-time Tsukasa-kun?”
“Well, I guess I wanted some money to spend.”
I didn’t lie, I did want money to spend on Sei-chan.
I just have to not say that it’s for me to spend on my girlfriend.
“Really? I think it’s great that you’re thinking about spending money you earned yourself.”
“Is that so? I think it’s normal.”
“You’re in your second year, I think most people would want to have fun rather than spend their time working part-time.”
“I don’t have any club activities so I just have a lot of free time on my hands.”
“I didn’t join any clubs either. So I was working part time as well.”
I didn’t know that Tobise-san had a part time job during high-school too.
I caught up to the latest chapter of the series but Tobise-san came out during the second half of the chapter so the information I have is really limited.
That’s why it’s hard for me to get involved with her.
“Why did you start doing your part-time job then Tobise-san? Do you also need money to spend like me?”
“Ehh? That’s part of it, but I’m from a single family so I only have my mom.”
“Eh?”
“I have four siblings including me and it takes up a lot of money, so I got a part-time job to help my mom.”
“Ah, that’s why.”
I had no idea about Marino Tobise’s family environment.
“Well my mom is good at working, so she’s able to make enough money for our living expenses and all.”
“That’s great.”
“Yeah, so my money from my part-time job is for me to play around with my siblings and such. My oldest sibling is ten so I buy her sweets, games and stuff.”
Tobise-san gave a smile and said.
Tobise-san was a natural onee-san like character.
I knew she had siblings but I never knew she had three younger ones.
Thats why she has such an Onee-san vibe.
“That’s amazing Tobise-san.”
“Fufu, so that’s why it’s okay to treat me with respect as an onee-san you know.”
“Yes, of course. I really admire how you’re working part-time for your family.”
“Fufu, I’m starting to feel embarrassed. I said that as a joke after all.”
Compared to Tobise-san, I’m starting to feel that my intentions are really impure.
I’m not sure if the intentions would be purer if I spent it on my siblings rather than my lover though..
“Ahh, we reached the intersection. My house is this way.”
“I go the other way, I guess this is where we part then. Goodbye.”
“I wanted to chat more with Tsukasa-kun, I guess it can’t be helped. Let’s talk more next time at work then.”
“Yes, see you later.”
“Yeah, bye!”
Tobise-san walked down the road with a smile on her face.
From now on, I’d be sharing the same job as Tobise-san. I wonder if I’ll be fine.
